It went surprisingly well, even with 28 nuts to remove and reassemble. The current fiddle block on the mainsail traveler had previously broken. Steve replaced that with a new Harken fiddle block. Nach dem etwas umständlichen und merkwürdigen Einchecken auf Antigua verlassen wir schon nach einem Tag die Insel, um nach Barbuda zu segeln. Das Gute: Barbuda gehört zu Antigua, weshalb wir mal zwei Inseln am Stück abklappern können. Es dauert lange, bis wir Barbuda am Horizont entdecken. Waren die Karibikinseln bisher hoch und grün gleicht Barbuda einer großen Sandkiste mit vielen Riffen davor. Genau das, wonach wir uns gesehnt haben. Wir werfen den Anker im Südwesten der Insel, in der Princess Diana Bay. Wir schnorcheln an den Riffen, sehen Rochen und hunderte Fische, essen abends in einer Strandbar Lobster und treffen auf ein Schweizer Seglerpaar. Es dauert etwas, aber dann entdecken wir, dass wir uns schon mal gesehen haben.....
