The Boat Life http://bit.ly/HelpFundMoreVideos or buy yourself a shirt http://www.TheBoat.Life/shop We had a delay in our trip. we got a flat tire and had to change it on the side of the highway. Cars are just like boats. Both have there problems. This time it is a flat tire. We made it to the tire store, but I screwed up. I ask them to check and make sure they had the tire in stock, but I ask for the wrong size. Now we are stuck in Sioux Falls, South Dakota! This is our daily show as we vlog till Hurricane season ends. This is The Boat Life. Nic Morganti and Melissa Auman are moving onto a sailboat. The plan was sell everything, buy a boat, live on a boat, and travel and explore the Caribbean and the world while living aboard! The uniform is boardshorts and bikinis. Simple plan, but lots to learn and do along the way. Join our adventure as we sail away on sv Dodi, our Island Packet IP27, live on a sailboat, and explore life aboard. This is our sailing travel vlog The Boat Life. its like van life, but in a sailboat, oh and on the water. Thanks for watching! Want to see more videos. Hi Youtube friends! I'm posting what feels like an annual, 'hey, remember us' video 😜 This is a quick compilation of what we've been up to in 2018, minus Shane's GoPro footage and some other things we've done that I left the camera behind for. We are a family of four that currently live in the rural Pacific Northwest of the United States. We are a plant-based family that is always trying to reduce our waste. The general theme of our Youtube Channel is around our ongoing practice of eating better and lowering our impact on the environment. We are far from perfect at both, but have found daily habits and hacks that help us achieve our goals that we share with you. Shane is super active in paddleboarding, skateboarding, he's been getting into barefoot running, he dirtbikes (let's be honest- when his bike is running), snowshoes... I'm sure there's more than that. He eats a primarily vegan diet and credits it for helping him bounce back from injuries, stay in shape, and feel good. I just committed to running a blog and doing more media production our our Plant Based Reduced Waste lifestyle. I'll be putting out meal plans soon too! Our two boys are now four and eight. This will be our second year homeschooling them. The first year we focused on the essentials of reading, writing, and arithmetic. We mixed in a little Waldorf inspired curriculum with saints and fables work, and I introduced a couple projects based on what our state wanted kids in Kelly's grade to learn. It was homeschooling eclectic at its finest 🤓😬We've been doing homeschool light over the summer and I'm still working on what our 2018/2019 school year is going to look like. In the near future I'll be posting more frequently with how to videos, tutorials, vlogs, and more. I love Youtube and participate in the community as a viewer. I've always wanted to do more as a creator. Our plan is to create content that is applicable for both men and women, focusing on families who share the same values as us and are just looking for some camaraderie in acting those values out. Thank you for subscribing and being a supporter of what we've done in the past. Let me know what you would like to see from us here on Youtube.
Really impressed with the battery for my Samsung Galaxy S5 I got from Acevan for only $12. It has more capacity than the battery from Samsung at only one quarter the price. Update: It has been over a year and we are still using this battery, no issues, battery life still last a full day with no issues. We would recommend this battery provider as a solution for anyone with a phone battery issue. We make the final preparations for the four wheel drive ute which will take us safety across Australia from the most western point at Steep Point to the most eastern point at Byron Bay, some 6500 kms away. In this episode, we make it to Steep Point, the start of this epic journey across four deserts and many deserted outback roads. With Mavi now out of hospital, we will be able to show you the stunning landscapes from the land and the sky too. Thanks for traveling along with us. Magnus and Wendy

Our Leopard 48 Sailing Catamaran, formerly called Widago, is now officially PILAR! The name change on our catamaran is complete and now we won't confuse people looking for the wrong boat! We are PILAR on AIS as well! Track us at http://bluedotvoyages.com/marine-traffic-tracking Why PILAR? Many reasons. Wikipedia: Means "pillar" in Spanish. It is taken from the title of the Virgin Mary, María del Pilar, meaning "Mary of the Pillar". According to legend, when Saint James the Greater was in Saragossa in Spain, the Virgin Mary appeared on a pillar. HemingwayHome.com: Ernest Hemingway owned a 38-foot (12 m) fishing boat named Pilar. It was acquired in April 1934 from Wheeler Shipbuilding in Brooklyn, New York, for $7,495.[2] "Pilar" was a nickname for Hemingway's wife Pauline and also the name of the woman leader of the partisan band in his 1940 novel of the Spanish Civil War, For Whom the Bell Tolls. Present Day - Urban Dictionary: A hot girl with definite class, style, and swagga'. She likes pina colodas, and gettin' caught in the rain! She will be your best friend and stick by you no matter what. You can usually hit her up at her house where she'll be playing Nazi Zombies or MW2. She's genuine and nice to everyone she meets. PapasPilar.com: Now, a run called Papa's Pilar is sold, with the tagline, Never a Spectator. Fits us perfectly. "Papa’s Pilar Rum – in both Dark and Blonde expressions – is an ultra-premium sipping rum inspired by possibly the world’s greatest adventurer, Ernest Hemingway. It’s created for those with a restless spirit, who experience life on their own terms. With great attention to product, process, and package – every detail of Papa’s Pilar was crafted to reclaim rum’s rightful place in the spirit world. Sourced, blended and bottled as a worldly rum, Papa’s Pilar is bold and complex, just like Hemingway himself."
We traveled through secret back way marsh creeks on our voyage to Driftwood Beach in Edisto SC with of our guest couples. Driftwood Beach has a beautiful beach - hard to get to, so know one is ever there. One one side is the ocean with pounding waves. On the other side is the marsh with cal creeks. Better go at high tide! Here's what we found.
Got tired of not seeing our speed while we were sailing, so we cleaned our transducer, while we were under way. You have to be fast so water doesn't fill the bilge. Watch.

We asked anyone with experience of sailing in a hurricane or typhoon to let us know what happened. Subscribe for more sailing videos: https://ftbyoutube.page.link/subscribe Thanks to everyone who shared their stories - you get a name-check! Yesterday we sailed a Deben Lugger sailboat in the mangrove river outside Krabi Boat Lagoon with John of Java Yachting. It was a beautiful day for messing about in boats, and a great opportunity to talk through some of the excellent comments we received in response to Episode 120: https://ftbyoutube.page.link/Ep120 “Your barrel bolts should be installed with the bolt in the downward position so gravity keeps them locked instead of facing upwards...” “...you could argue if the yacht is inverted then the stainless steel latches are the correct way up...” “...Why not try and spring load the bolts...” “...make a bag for the bilge pumps out of screen...” “...If you fasten boards down and need to get access fast in a leak or collision...” “...no shut-off valve on the exhaust, a common cause of engine failure...” “...On your advice from over a year ago we procured the sailing books that you recommended...” “...biggest pump on a boat is the engine raw water pump. Think about a 3 way valve...” “...a companionway hatch that is able to keep the water out and is attached to the boat...” “...water came out of the sink drain like a fire hose.” “...If you should take a barrel roll, the raft and the pushpit would be gone...” “...“make sure your drogue chainplates are up to the challenge, or install them if not...” “...It is a very good idea to wear a helmet...” “...Are you planning on any kind of pre-crossing fitness regime...” Thanks for sharing your incredible knowledge here on followtheboat. We FINALLY have a canopy on the top of the entry door of our shipping container house!!! It took us a lot more time that we planned to be done, but in the end it looks exactly like we planned!! After 12 days passage, sailing from Antigua to USA, s/v Cloudy Bay (Hallberg-Rassy 54) arrives in St.Augustine, Florida, the oldest recorded town in America (1513) and the starting point of us sailing east coast USA. Here we complete the check in formalities into USA, visit St. Augustine and have two road trips from there. While in St. Augustine, we visit Castillo de San Marcos and Flagler College, join a trolley tour St. Augustine, and walk the town to soak in the atmosphere. Very interesting town, where we learn lots of American history. During a day trip to Cape Canaveral we visit NASA's Kennedy Space Center. Impressive center, we love the Saturn V and Shuttle Columbia displays. 9-14 June 2018 We document our sailing adventure through daily articles on our sailing blog www.sailcloudybay.com Day 1 - customs check in formalities: http://www.sailcloudybay.com/st-augustin-day-1-customs-formalities/ Day 2 - visit Castillo de San Marcos and trolley tour: http://www.sailcloudybay.com/st-augustin-day-2-town-tour/ Day 3 - Flagler College and thunderstorm: http://www.sailcloudybay.com/st-augustin-day-3-flagler-college-thunderstorm/ Day 4 - Kennedy Space Center: http://www.sailcloudybay.com/st-augustin-day-4-trip-to-cape-canaveral/ Day 5 - road trip to Jacksonville: http://www.sailcloudybay.com/st-augustin-day-5-trip-to-jacksonville/ Day 6 - leaving St.Augustine for Savannah: http://www.sailcloudybay.com/leaving-st-augustine/
RMK Marine - SuperYachts, Warships and SuperTankers! Travelling the less travelled path sometimes reaps great rewards, as I found out on my recent trips to Turkey. There, I discovered an industrial giant with considerable pedigree in the construction and refit of a variety of different superyachts. Not only is RMK Marine part of the colossal RMK Group of companies, they have also demonstrated a significant presence overseas, working in close collaboration with Oyster yachts and buying the Merrill Stevens facility in Florida. This video scratches beneath the surface of this incredible company, and is the first in a series of three videos about RMK Marine.
| Season 3 | Episode 38 | Welcome to Season 3 of my channel! On this episode we go to Sweden to prepare my friend Neil Fletcher's 1966 Allied Seabreeze, SV Arcturus for her cruising season in the Stockholm and Åland archipelagos. The next nine or so videos will follow my time on board SV Arcturus as we explore the Åland Islands and beyond. We sail into cities, tie up on small islands, anchor bows to and ride out a blow before heading back to Sweden. I hope you will follow along with us on the trip. A lot of "The Pale King" by David Foster Wallace is based around the psychical suffering that is inflicted on people who's job requires them to create or enforce arbitrary bureaucratic hurdles on civilians. The infliction of the inflictors. Trying to navigate the various webs of institutions and the idiosyncrasies of the people currently in charge or the particular island you find yourself on is my least favourite thing to do. I would rather be becalmed or trying to remove a hook from my nether regions. I guess myself and Elayna are basically full time Immigrants. #goingbackwards #greatdecision We made the first attempt to cross to Italy, but the weather was terrible and we had to go back to Pilos. So we decided to go up to Corfu to get better winds and cross from Othonoi to Leuca, successfully this time with great winds to take us all the way to Italy. Changing flags on the way putting up the Italian flag we arrive at our first port, Leuca. The cannon fire from the Royal Yacht Squadron Line signalled the start of one of the world's toughest yacht races. For the start at midday on Sunday 12th August, a cold front from the Atlantic provided pewter skies and a gusting southerly wind, accompanied by rain. Several low-pressure systems are forecast to give rough weather during the 1,805 nautical mile marathon. “It really is fantastic to see so many competitive boats on the starting line for such a tough race,” commented Wouter Verbaak from Sevenstar Yacht Transport. “Looking at the weather ahead with gale force winds forecast for the top of Scotland, good seamanship will be a big part of this race. Sevenstar is proud to sponsor this race and I would like to highlight that as part of our ethos for keeping plastics out of the oceans, there are no bow stickers for this race, instead, the competitors have agreed to fly a Sevenstar flag.” After leaving the Solent, the yachts raced close to the south side of the Isle of Wight to avoid the worst of the foul tide. For the first night, the wind is expected to strengthen and shift southwest; the 140 sailors in the fleet will be bracing themselves for a hard beat in the English Channel towards The Lizard. Eleven Class40s are taking part, with the winner likely to take line honours for the race in approximately eight days. British skipper Phil Sharp, racing Imerys Clean Energy got away to a great start, unfurling a Code Zero and reaching off into the Eastern Solent to lead the fleet. Class40s in the chasing pack include; Peter Harding's Phor-ty, skippered by Sam Goodchild. Nicolas Troussel's Corum, Guillaume le Brec's Oman Sail, and Charles-Louis Mourruau's Colombre XL/The Lost Boys. After a good start, Miranda Merron and Halvard Mabire's Campagne de France reported a problem with their main halyard and headed in to repair the problem. They intend to continue the race. Of the fully crewed yachts racing under IRC, Ross Applebey's British Oyster 48 Scarlet Oyster got the best start. Once the fleet had left the Solent, Giles Redpath's Lombard 46 Pata Negra led the charge on the water, just ahead of Mark Emerson's A13 Phosphorus II. In IRC Two-handed, Conor Fogerty's Irish Bam! and Ian Hoddle's British Game On were locked in a duel that is likely to last for the entire race. The two Sun Fast 3600s have pulled away from the rest of the IRC Two Handed teams. In IRC Four, Charlene Howard's American Sun Odyssey 45.2 AJ Wanderlust is leading close rival Sigma 36 British Beagle skippered by Charles Emmett; both teams are racing Two-Handed and expected to take 10 days or more to complete the race. #SRBI
(Parts and sources listed below) I used to clean my boat bottom by holding my breath with a snorkel. It was a lot of work with constant interruption to come up for, air and my lung capacity is not what it used to be. I wanted the smallest and lightest possible 12v dive hookah. It needed to draw minimal current for one diver working at max 4-foot depth. Ready-made units were too big and expensive and designed for going deeper than I needed. There was one small unit on ebay for $440 but I was unsure of its quality, reliability, and size of components. I spent under $300 on parts. Warning: Diving at even shallow depths with compressed air can be dangerous. Please do not copy my system unless you have done your own research and take responsibility for your own choices. A diving course is recommended. Here is a list of the materials I used: 1. Pump: I used the ACQ-908 12 volt, 105 watt (9 amp), 150 L/Min, 0.12MPA which was just barely adequate for me and requires I control my breathing for this small compressor to keep up. It would be a safer choice to use the next size larger pump ACQ-910 - $89 at Amazon or several vendors at Alibaba: https://www.amazon.com/HEALiNK-Aquarium-Aquaculture-Pressure-Compressor/dp/B06XJ8P656/ref=sr_1_1 2. Air Breathing Hose 10mm x 20m - Non-toxic Scuba Hookah Diving Hose - ebay $44US plus $61 shipping from Australia. Gator Gill on Ebay now sells a 50-foot hose with the quick disconnect fittings for $105 plus shipping on Ebay. I might have saved $65 using less expensive 3/8" x 50' SHIELDS RUBBER Series 162 Polyester Reinforced Clear PVC Tubing - $42 and free shipping at Walmart online: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Shields-Marine-Hose-Clear-Reinforced-Series-162-PVC-Tubing-with-Red-Tracer/55110209 3. Hanperal 145 PSI Explorer Scuba Diving Dive 2nd Stage Regulator Octopus Hookah - $24 at: https://www.amazon.com/Hanperal-Explorer-Diving-Regulator-Octopus/dp/B01AL6UN22/ref=sr_1_1?dchild=1&keywords=Hanperal+145+PSI+Explorer+Scuba+Diving+Dive+2nd+Stage+Regulator+Octopus+Hookah&qid=1595765282&sr=8-1 (The regulator arrived with strong rubber smell so I kept the regulator and swapped out the hose for this 22-inch hose for $18 plus $7 shipping: https://www.divegearexpress.com/regulator-double-braided-flex-hose 4. Edge Industrial 3/8 X 1/4 Hose ID brass barb reducer splicer fitting - $8 at: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B07CS9NWL4/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o05_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 5. Water and particle filter - $23 plus $7 shipping at ebay Gator Gill. Search ebay using "Hookah Diving Airline filter kit combo." 6. Hose disconnect fittings and clamps from Harborfreight.com - about $15 7. 12v 20 amp circuit breaker (or switch and fuse) - about $17 on Amazon but I had a used one on hand. 8. Scrap plywood, aluminum plate to mount switch, two #10 bolts, nuts and washers, #10 AWG wire, crimp connectors, and battery clips, clip to hold air hose to dive belt - about $25 Total about $320 but if I wanted to use the cheaper hose that would bring it under $300. I'm sure there is a more elegant way to connect the various hose fittings with quick disconnects but this is what I had at hand.

On Saturday 4th August we were on the water for the Shorthanded Sailing Association of New Zealand Safety at Sea Triple Series Race 2. Auckland was covered by a blanket of fog with very little breeze for yacht racing. However we still had to produce a race video, so the drone went up and amongst the fog, we managed to captured some pretty amazing sights. Due to popular demand, here is an extended version of our fog footage from the sky. NZ Rigging PIC Insurance Brokers Baltic Lifejackets Kiwi Yachting Yachting New Zealand
On our 4th sail ever. We practice tacking and daydream about sailing in Florida. We discuss some misconceptions about sailors and how we would like to change that. We reflect on just how much fun sailing really is and Ashley says "I choose to Sail." We explore a marina and find the BIGGEST sailboat on Lake Wylie. Then we power up and motor to our favorite anchorage.

O bolo vai "chupar" a cobertura. Não precisa esperar esfriar. Depois salpique o coco ralado. Espere esfriar e coloque na geladeira dentro na forma ou em pedaços embrulhado em papel alumínio. É delícia!!!!
