*NOW SOLD** Lying in the Airlie Beach, Whitsundays, this 2004 Oceanis Clipper 373, 'Enchante' is now exclusively listed for sale with team YOTI Queensland. https://www.yoti.com.au/listing/beneteau-oceanis-clipper-373-enchante The Oceanis 373 was designed to combine elegance, performance and spacious accommodation. It comes from the respected Berret - Racoupeau Design group, with many beautiful race and cruising vessel to their name. Enchante was launched in 2004 and her second owner has kept the vessel in a fabulous condition, with many recent upgrades. She has also never been chartered. The 373 has a huge cockpit with the Beneteau patented pivoting steering wheel, to provide a clear path from the transom to the companionway when the vessel is berthed or at anchor. The cockpit is well protected with a spray hood, bimini and connecting canvas to provide full shade. All canvas work is in a mint condition (2017), there are even covers for the coachroof and foredeck. The decks are clean and uncluttered with many opening hatches and skylights to provide light and ventilation. Both mainsail and genoa are brand new, another huge plus. The mainsail has lazy jacks and a generous boombag, and can be hoisted and reefed from the cockpit, as all lines are led aft. The genoa is on a furler, also controlled from the cockpit. Enchante has the two cabin layout. Aft is the owner's cabin with a very large double berth and forward is a generous V berth. Two further saloon berths bring the total berth to 6. The saloon is very well lit due to the overhead windows and has ample seating around a centrally mounted folding table. The 'L' shaped galley to port is well appointed, with fridge/ freezer and icebox and two burner stove and oven. The massive head with enclosed shower is to starboard and the forward facing navigation desk to starboard. This Oceanis 373 is beautifully presented, antifouled in April 2018 and now ready inspection in the Whitsundays. Please contact Robert Vrind for further details.

The first Skoota 32 was built at the head of a very narrow Cornish creek. Launched at 8pm on August 13th this video shows the first motor, 8am on the 14th. Note, no audio so please read the description below. First test was manouverability. Even Mike, the boatbuilder who had never helmed a boat before, found it easy to adjust the engines, one forward one reverse, and make the boat turn on the spot. Once into Plymouth Sound we could open the throttles a bit more (but not the full amount as the engines were new). Easy to reach 20 knots even though the trim wasn't quite right. Finally motor back past Southdown Marina to the Multihull Centre for the night. A very successful first trial! You can build your own Skoota 32 in foam sandwich using plans by Woods Designs. This week, I find the answer to a question I asked myself “Why does sailing across the Bay Biscay have such bad reputation?!” Ahead of our passage from La Forêt Fouesnant to A Coruna, the conditions looked great, and the first hours of the passage were just as fantastic. Less than 100 nautical miles in, the situation took a turn for the worse, and we all found ourselves having to extend the limits of our comfort zone in a rapid manner. I felt the most scared since we started sailing, until I decided to practice facing my fear. Next time we encounter such conditions, I will probably not feel as scared, but I now definitely know where Biscay gets its reputation from! Archer is a somewhat famous boat in the Catamaran world, so I was more than a little excited to get to see her first hand. Gegen Abend geht es wieder zurück nach Bremerhaven da wir bei den vorherrschenden Wetterbedingungen nicht über das Wattenhoch vor Dorum kommen. Dieses ist mein vorletzter Törn mit der Neptum 24 KS. Der Watt'n Segler ist verkauft und die Neptun 24 hat einen tollen neuen Eigner gefunden. In diesem Törn geht es für mich mit der Neptun zum letzten mal zu meiner Lieblingssandbank vor Bremerhaven (Suezpriel). Ein wenig traurig bin ich schon aber freue mich auch auf weitere Törns mit dem neuen Segelboot. Es soll bald mit Rosi und der Famile auf NORDSEE-Tour gehen. Dann gibt es mehr :-) AHOI TOM

Der Ammersee hat eine neue Attraktion: den Wikinger, eine geklinkerte Sperrholzjolle, die einfach Spaß macht und von Herbert Glas stammt. Das Boot ist eine Ko-Produktion von Herbert Glas und Christian Gallasch. Gemeinsam haben die beiden in einem ehemaligen Edeka-Laden ein Unikat getischlert, das jetzt in Kleinserie gehen soll.
