Welcome to our latest #CruisingConversation with Nathan and Lindsey from The 71 Percent! The adventures of The 71 Percent have already captured headlines as they have taken command of a new Selene 49 down under. In 2026 they are one of the biggest trawler stories as their growing audience of YouTube subscribers are following their trip across the Pacific from Australia to North America. This video was filmed aboard a freshly completed Selene 51 during the Selene Grand Opening celebration in early December 2025. The Jet Tern Marine yard in Zhuhai, China was in red carpet – VIP – celebration mode - and it was an amazing couple of days for Howard Chen and all of the team at Selene. Jeff was able to catch up with Nathan and Lindsay at the yard – they had flown up from Australia where they were in the middle of preparations for their Pacific crossing. They soaked up the highlights and spoke to the dealers from all over the world to share some about their trip. None of this would be possible without the collaboration between Selene Australia and Selene Americas – there is a positive vibe throughout the dealer network that is incredibly productive. Nathan and Lindsey had a blast seeing the yard, inspecting boats in construction, meeting the workers and spending time with other Selene owners. For them it was fun to enjoy a quick break before getting back to business for final tasks before taking off on their Selene adventure. It’s kind of hard to introduce people who everybody already knows, but there are many people who are always interested and can’t get enough of Nathan and Lindsey. We were able to have a fun discussion on board to review their planning, preparation and giddiness of outfitting a serious trawler for the type of deep water travel it is designed for. A lot more goes into this type of commitment – weather windows, engine room checks, standing watch, navigation and routing, tools, spare parts, organizing provisions, cooking, when and whether to have crew, living a full life underway…it’s not just get-the-camera-out-and-film. Looking back at this short pilothouse discussion, I have to admit I’m even more impressed. Nathan and Lindsey are approachable, friendly, kind, genuine, authentic and just great, fun people with a lot of energy that comes through loud and clear in their YouTube and Instagram, which they spend hours producing. Welcome back to another episode if WE|Sail. After eight months away, we're finally back on our sailing catamaran VA in Fiji - but our first week doesn't go quite as smoothly as we hoped! Less than 48 hours after arriving, we're prepping for our first cyclone of the season while tackling the massive job of deep cleaning the boat. VA hasn't been lived on for three months, and any boat owner knows what that means - mold, dust, and some unexpected wildlife that's moved in (sorry birds, we're back!). We spend our time reorganizing, cleaning, and getting the boat ready while waiting out the storm in the marina. After a couple days of rain and wind - and one epic sunset - the cyclone shifts north and misses us completely. Finally, we escape the marina and get back out on anchor where we belong. There's nothing quite like that feeling of setting the hook, jumping in for a swim, and cracking a passage beer. After everything we've been through to get here - the travel, the prep, the waiting - it finally feels like we're exactly where we're supposed to be. On 17 March, from the historic port of Falmouth in Cornwall, Full Circle sets sail on an extraordinary expedition - a 2,000-nautical-mile circumnavigation of the United Kingdom celebrating the strength and spirit of our Armed Forces community. Full Circle is a groundbreaking charity project led by Turn to Starboard, bringing together over 70 serving and veteran members of the Armed Forces who are wounded, injured, or sick and giving them life transforming training and experiences. Over the course of 13 weeks, two magnificent tall ships will visit 22 ports around the nation’s coastline. This is more than a journey at sea.
