Många frågar om vi ska segla hem båten igen eller om vi ska flyga tillbaka till Sverige. Och ja, Sverige är vårt hem på ett sätt. Men just nu är båten vårt hem. Det är här vi bor tills vidare. Vi sålde vårt hus i Sverige och det mesta av våra tillhörigheter. Kvar har vi en gyllene regel: 👉 Äventyret fortsätter så länge alla gillar äventyret. Så vart ska vi då? Det har vi faktiskt inte bestämt. Och just nu känner vi inget behov av att planera långt i förväg. En tanke är att segla lite söderut över jul och nyår, men mer än så är öppet. Och sen då? Vi har pratat om att fortsätta västerut, genom Panamakanalen och vidare över Stilla havet. Samtidigt har vi bestämt att njuta här och nu och ta upp den frågan igen i februari 2026. Då får vi känna efter vad som känns rätt. Vi har också pratat om att stanna kvar i Karibien ett tag. De senaste 1,5 åren har varit fyllda av planering och förberedelser för Atlantöverfarten. Wednesday is a highly optimized Adams 10 listed for sale by YOTI on Pittwater. https://www.yoti.com.au/listing/adams-10-wednesday Owned by a string of incredibly experienced and successful racing sailors, Wednesday, previously ‘Get It On’, then more recently ‘Deep Philosophy’, is likely the most heavily optimized Adams 10 – ever. She’s been modified for three simple reasons – to rate well, to win, and to be an exhilarating boat to race. Her QLD owner’s goal was spec to boat to IRC standards and to be able to compete with the best of the best race boats in the country. Modifications included extensive fairing of the hull, keel and rudder. The mast is carbon as is the boom and poles, plus the new transom hung rudder. There are 4 Harken race winches, new instruments and a lithium battery with charger. More recently her well known owner out of Sydney’s Middle Harbour had the hull professionally sprayed, added new instruments, and further tuned the rig. Standing rigging was replaced new in 2021. The Mercury 6Hp outboard was new in just August 2025. Well the prevailing afternoon seabreeze means I have to tack back out of Somes Sound. Also, I have to wait until 14:30 hours for the current to turn fair at the entrance. This means that I don't make Bar Harbor until early evening. And the wind continues to play hide-and-seek with me, finally obliging me to drop anchor in Hull Bay for the night.
