This is a long video but I don't think I could of capture how it felt to sail for 32 hours in a faster paced video and I did not film anything during the 7 hours It took me to get out of the Lambert channel with a couple of those spent in a windless pocket. Really could of used a spinnaker for the couple of hours of downwind sailing I got and had great wind going up the wind for the whole night. We’ll show you our route from Martinique to Trinidad and explain why many crews deliberately head to safe areas outside the hurricane belt. We explore which regions are considered relatively safe during hurricane season and where most sailors tend to stay during these months. We also take a look at whether there are certain years when particularly severe hurricanes are expected—and what role climate phenomena like El Niño and La Niña play in the Atlantic. We’ll also provide a concise overview of key considerations when choosing a safe mooring: What factors are crucial? Which seasons should you keep a close eye on? This is an important modification to do on the Sailfish 18 and it's important because of how the keel works. On the SF18 the keel is wound directky up and down with a worm screw. This screw can lose the bottom bearing whioch means you can effectively wind the keel right off.
