Durante la virata, la vela passa da un lato all'altro della barca automaticamente, senza bisogno di toccare le scotte o agire sui winch. ✅ I VANTAGGI (PRO): Semplicità assoluta: La virata diventa un gioco da ragazzi. Wauquiez Hood 38, designed by Ted Hood and built in 1980, is a well-kept and carefully upgraded cruising yacht that blends classic design with reliable sailing performance. She is powered by a fully overhauled 48 HP Perkins engine with only 480 hours of use and fitted with a three-blade propeller, ensuring smooth and dependable motoring. The white fiberglass hull is in excellent condition with no signs of osmosis, and the deck is finished with a durable KiwiGrip non-slip coating. In this first part, I sail 55 nautical miles solo from Georgetown to Great Guana Cay, Exumas, catching the back edge of a big wind system. That means strong winds of 25–30 knots, powerful residual swell, and an exciting ride across some of the most beautiful waters in the Bahamas.
