### Consumi: quale motore consuma meno? * I **motori fuoribordo** tendono a consumare meno, grazie a cilindrate ridotte e tecnologie recenti. Usati ancora solo in modelli datati.

It was an earlier start for the fleet on P&B Race Day at the Flying Fifteen Worlds, headline sponsored by PRO-SET Epoxy and Ovington Boats, with the aim of completing three races to bring the event back on schedule. A decent North Easterly, gusting 20 knots, was established - but the same was present on Tuesday which petered out after one race - would it hold today? A promising breeze in the morning on Allen Sailing day at the Flying Fifteen Worlds, headline sponsored by PRO-SET Epoxy and Ovington Boats, flattered to deceive when the wind petered out as the only race of the day was completed. The sailors came into the day recharged and raring to go after Monday's lay day, happy to get out on the water for the hour earlier start time, with aching muscles soothed, if not fully recovered. The forecast was for the wind to decrease throughout the day, and turn more from the east to the north east later in the day, but the wind itself had other ideas, reducing in intensity early and ending up switching the other way to confuse and confound many. Well we have arrived at our hurricane hole in Pongo River, NC and now it's a waiting game for Erin to slide on by. This is our 1st hurricane on the hook but we couldn't be more confident in our ground tackle from Mantus... From the Anchor itself, to the new bridle and the swivel. The gear has held up well and so far the highest gusts we saw was 40 knots of wind while anchored in Oriental, NC. Now we will clear off the top side of the boat and then settle in for the weather but for now, we are enjoying the calm waters!

Not sure if you should opt for the Grand Soleil 40 or the 44? This video is for you. Andrew leads us on a fun sail around Sydney Harbour aboard the Grand Soleil 44 which has been set up for club racing where she's been successfully campaigned. These yachts are growing on both Andrew and I as they are a clear step up in quality, performance and also style when compared to the more mass market builders. Basically they are a pleasure to sail so if you have done your dash in the high volume builders and now you want something a little nicer then this is a good yacht to focus your attention on. After the sail we link to the second video where we give you a full and detailed tour plus we discuss some alternatives for you to consider that would be fair competition to the Grand Soleil 44. Over the past few months, I’ve been restoring an abandoned sailboat. It belonged to friends of friends who could no longer take care of it. I asked if I could take it, and they agreed—on one condition: I had to pay off the marina debts and move the boat somewhere I could actually work on her. From the very first moment I saw this boat, I fell in love. I knew right away that we were meant for each other, and I jumped headfirst into the restoration project. It hasn’t been easy, but every step has been a learning experience I started sharing my journey in my native language, but now I want to connect with people all over the world—those who love freedom, the ocean, and chasing their dreams. Even if boats aren’t your thing, maybe something in my story will resonate New videos will come out every few weeks. We set sail through Malaysia’s wild islands and hidden fjords, starting in the stunning Langkawi archipelago. Along the way we spot monkeys in the mangroves, sea eagles circling overhead, monitor lizards sunbathing, and even massive jellyfish drifting past our hull. After a 7-hour sail through fishing boats and island channels, we anchor at a remote island called Singa Besar There we hike across the jungle, discover a beautiful hidden beach, and share a barbecue with other cruisers. Along the way, I also share a moment that really matters: the reality of plastic and trash washing up on these otherwise perfect shores, and why it’s so important to recycle and protect our oceans. Life aboard isn’t always calm — a huge squall rolls in, putting our anchor to the test and drenching us in tropical rain. But just as quickly, the skies clear and we’re rewarded with a magical day filled with music, dancing, and laughter. We’re joined on this adventure by our friend Ana from Serbia (who now lives in Bali), making this a true crew adventure through paradise and storms alike. This is sailing life in Malaysia — wild, raw, and unforgettable. If you’re interested in jumping aboard and crewing with us, reach out — we’d love to hear from you. This week marks a huge milestone as we officially finalized our PADI Open Water Certification! With the green light from our incredible instructor Tomas, we’re now ready to explore the world beneath the waves. But there was no time to rest… we set sail from Chalkidiki to Alonissos, continued to Skiropoula, and then faced the notorious Steno Kafirea Strait on our way to Mpatsi. What should have been a routine crossing turned into a 36-hour endurance test at sea. We battled it all: 25, then 35, and finally 53 knots of wind slamming into us. 4 knots of current racing through the strait. Wind acceleration up to 38 knots, sending GOAT flying at 8.5 knots down the waves. And a maze of bulk carriers and container ships, forcing us to weave through traffic all night long. It was exhausting, terrifying, and absolutely unforgettable — the kind of passage that proves sailing is never just about getting from A to B, but about surviving the challenges along the way. Come aboard and sail with us through one of the most dangerous stretches of water in Greece. 📌 Follow our journey here: YouTube: Sailing SV GOAT Instagram: @sailing_svgoat Facebook: Sailing SV GOAT #SailingSVGOAT #SailingCouple #AegeanSea #StormSailing #KafireaStrait #SailingLife #SailingAdventure #BluewaterSailing #LiveaboardLife #CruisingCouple #OffshoreSailing #YachtLife #OceanPassage #SailboatLiving #GoSmallGoFar #SailingGreece #SailingCommunity

The sailing was close to perfection on Hyde Sails Race Day at the Flying Fifteen Worlds, headline sponsored by PRO-SET Epoxy and Ovington Boats. Sunshine, winds starting at 23 knots, slowly decreasing through the afternoon, two metre waves and exemplary courses allowed two superb races on this second day of the event. The first race of the day started with an incredibly even line, with the fleet going away cleanly first time, which pleased Race Officer Mark ‘Woodsy’ Wood no end after the general recalls on Saturday, “We tweaked the line slightly and ended up with the leader overnight at the pin end, while the boat which was second overnight at the committee boat end, and the boat in third starting in the middle.” The racing was exceptionally tight, with the battle for the race win going down to the wire, only being decided in the final seconds on the reach to the finish line from the leeward gate. The Marex 440 Gourmet is a very interesting design. This is a boat that will likely appeal to serious experienced boaters and new boaters alike. She's packed with good ideas that will immediately make sense to anyone with experience on the water yet she's also very nice looking and extremely comfortable to spend time aboard. She's also designed to work in a global marketplace with the option of shaft drive - IPS drive and stern drive! It's not every day that you come across a vessel where you say to yourself 'geeze that's a good idea' - but on the Marex I was saying that all day. This design which is also available in a 'Scandinavia' version that cuts the galley down to a normal size and opens up internal lounge space is a boat that can work for so many people in all kinds of environments. If you were going to ask me to bet on a future success then this Marex 440 would be one of my top 3 bets in this category. 82 teams from 4 continents are taking part in the Flying Fifteen World Championship, headline sponsored by PRO-SET Epoxy and Ovington Boats and hosted by the Weymouth and Portland National Sailing Academy in the UK. 'Glamour' was the word used by many of the sailors when they came ashore on Impact Marine Race Day. A 15 to 22 knot easterly with a big rolling swell and sunshine in Weymouth Bay made for a perfect start to the event with two races held. We take our Royal Cape 500 catamaran out for our first sail without our training captain on board — and then spend our first night on anchor away from the dock. The RMS Empress of Britain, launched June 11, 1930, was the largest, fastest, and most luxurious ocean liner to service the Europe to Canada route. She was also one of the first liners designed to serve as a cruise ship in the winter. While she wasn't a major commercial success during her short career, she earned a small but loyal following who loved her spaciousness and beauty. But World War 2 brought the great liner a premature end, making her the largest ship ever sunk by a German u-boat. This week, we’re drilling our well on our land in the Smoky Mountains of North Carolina. You can go to my sponsor https://aura.com/atticus to try 14 days for free. That’s enough time for Aura to start scrubbing your personal info off these data broker sites, without you lifting a finger. Drilling this Well will be a huge step toward finally moving our cramped 26-foot travel trailer onto the property where we'll have much more room to live as a family. But around here, finding water isn’t guaranteed. Many of our neighbors have had to drill hundreds of feet to hit a usable supply, and every extra foot adds big dollars to the final bill. With two kids under three and a tight budget, the pressure is on. We need this well to deliver enough water for our future home, but if we’re not lucky, the cost could skyrocket before we ever break ground. New to the channel? There was drama in Sassnitz, Germany during SailGP practice racing, as firstly the French SailGP Team's starboard rudder broke off during a windward mark bear away, and then on the same leg Mubadala Brazil SailGP Team nose dived, with the main crossbeam collapsing, causing the boat to fold and the rig to drop. We take a look at the incidents, and hear reaction from Mubadala Brazil's Paul Goodison, Bonds Flying Roos' Jason Waterhouse and Emirates GBR's Iain Jensen, plus reaction from the SailGP tech team. #sailgp #crash #sailing #foiling

Biotherm raced into Portsmouth,UK this morning with maximum points and a commanding early lead, while Malizia's daring inshore gamble at Dover stole second place in The Ocean Race Europe Leg 1. In Kiel, Allagrande Mapei is ready to rejoin the race having repaired their boat, with the goal now of reaching Portsmouth in time for the start of the second leg. Thomas Ruyant said, "The chainplate repair was completed today. The outrigger will be reinstalled this evening, and the team will finish prepping the boat for a Friday morning departure. Our preferred option is to go through the Kiel Canal, which should save us a lot of time, especially given the current weather (light winds along Denmark). We'd arrive tomorrow afternoon at the canal's exit to head up the Elbe estuary. Sailing the Kiel Canal requires a pilot on board since we draw more than 3 meters; for safety, we'll be accompanied by a RIB, and for the two locks, we'll use a large inflatable fender, which we'll keep all the way to Portsmouth. After that, the weather is in our favour for a fast downwind run to the Solent, which we hope to reach between Saturday evening and Sunday midday. That scenario is fantastic news and would allow us to start the second leg. We really hope Holcim-PRB can do the same. We're following their repairs closely—they've been our partners in misfortune at the start of this European tour, and we'd love to have the full fleet back together to continue The Ocean Race Europe." After four busy weeks in the harbor, it’s finally time: our boat is ready for new adventures! 🚤✨ It all started with some serious work – out of the water, a thorough cleaning of the hull, fresh paint, and patching up small gelcoat holes. New antifoul? Check! ✔️ Back in the water, we spent almost four weeks on various small (and not-so-small) projects: upgrading the electrical system, adding a safety net along the railing, and even welcoming our very first guests on board. 🥂 The grand finale? Installing our new solar panels with a custom-built frame – another big step toward self-sufficiency at sea. And then… sails up! 🌊 We left the harbor and are now heading east. Slowly, in the rhythm of the wind, and with every mile we get closer to the next chapter. ⚓ Join us on this journey – and experience firsthand what life and work on board really feel like. #Sailing #BoatRefit #BoatWork #SailingAdventure
