With an 18 knot south west wind backing slowly to the south and easing as the afternoon wore on, Bow Caddy grabbed a camera and headed to Chowder Bay to catch races 3 & 4 of the afternoon. The fleet had to contend with a busy harbour with numerous clubs racing in the ideal spring conditions as well as the constant toing and froing of the many ferries. Ginger won the third race and Maserati won the fourth.

For offroad and outdoor filming, the GoPro is the ideal tool. However, when you also want to record sound or voice during that time, the GoPro has a much harder time. Because of the waterproof plastic casing, the sound and voices are blocked from the internal microphone. Especially when we go sailing, we hear harsh noises from the wind and I hope this will resolve that problem. That's why I have bought a budget external microphone with a dedicated GoPro holder. This is a very good solution for outdoors. However, if it gets wet, than you have to go back to the plastic box. This microphone is compatible with GoPro 4, 3+ and 3.

Music by Masis (https://soundcloud.com/masismusic) Really appreciate the support, check out the Patreon for more access and perks: https://www.patreon.com/FindingSimon If Patreon isn't your thing, I also have a Paypal.me link: paypal.me/ShelbyandSimon I'm a Canadian photographer from Ottawa who got rid of everything to travel to world. I make travel vlogs sharing my ups and downs, adventures on motorbikes, sailboats, and vans. Instagram: @Finding_Simon Snapchat: Finding_Simon Twitter: @FindingSimon Donations: paypal.me/ShelbyandSimon Patreon: https://www.patreon.com/FindingSimon Merchandise: http://simonstiles.com/finding-simon/ :::::::FAQ::::::: - How do you afford to travel constantly? A: I travel really cheap, free camping, cooking my own meals, being as efficient as possible. I make my income almost entirely on YouTube but it's really tight. Ad revenue, patreon, paypal donations, merchandise sales and affiliate links bring in about as much as a part time minimum wage job, and I'm able to make that work. When it isn't enough I go back to work, doing photography mostly, sometimes commercial video projects, but it takes me away from my travels and videos. - How much does it cost? I spend on average $2000 travelling, most of which is gas, some repairs, food, and on average less than $200 on any eating out, shopping or extra curricular expenditures. I make $200 a month from YouTube and $400 from Patreon. The rest I make from my work. - What camera do you use? Sony A7ii, Nikon D810, Sony RX100 iii, DJI Phantom 3 Advanced, Rode Videomic with Deadcat, Zihyun Crane 3 Axis Gimbal, Underwater Housing, tripods and lights. - What is your bike? 1999 Yamaha Vstar XVS1100 with a Champion Escort sidecar. - What're your plans? Buy a boat, fix it up, sail off into the sunset. - How do you find all these cool places? To gain access to my complete research you need to hit me up on Patreon, but here's a few sites I frequent: https://freecampsites.net/ https://www.campendium.com/ http://www.atlasobscura.com/ https://www.couchsurfing.com/ - What do you do for Internet? I use coffeeshops and libraries to upload episodes a few at a time, I also use my wifi antenna (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5T9lNM8Mukk&t=2s) and a data package on my phone (10GB) - How do you live on the road with a dog? It's really not as difficult as people seem to think. I spend most of the day with my dog anyways, especially if it's warm out in the middle of the day. I let the constraint of bringing my dog with me help me make some decisions, avoiding places that ban dogs, and spending more time out in nature instead of in the cities. - What happened to the girl? We decided to go separate ways (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPgxDIXxCjY&t=4s) - Are you rich or something? definitely not. I've spent some quality time homeless, I've struggled financially most of my life, and although I'm blessed with great friends and family as well as being able bodied white and male, I don't subscribe to the belief that you need someone footing your bills in order to travel the world. You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? The top perk on my Patreon page is a live link of my location on google maps so you can get an active idea of where I am currently. If that's not an option for you there's also Instagram and Instagram stories that give you a much better idea of what I'm up to today.

Don't be too worried, we are not out cruising right now, we are safe and tucked away back home at Indiantown Marina. Having been back one week now from our shakedown, we've been given plenty of notice that Irma is headed our way, and we are doing everything we can to prepare ourselves and our boat. Indiantown is situated about 10 miles east of Lake Okeechobee, with locks on both sides of us. As this goes up, Hurricane Irma is intended to strike Florida as a Category 5 storm, making contact with mainland Florida near the Ft. Meyers area and continuing north across land. We have the boat secured and will be riding out the storm at our local shelter. Georgie has made her way up to Alabama with friends and is safe and out of harms way. In case we lose power and internet during the storm, we will be sending messages to family and friends via InReach to let them know how we are doing, and those messages will be relayed to our Facebook page. If you would like to know how we are doing throughout the storm, check there for updates. Wish us well and just know that we are as prepared as we can be! Cheers from our hurricane hole! Thank you SO MUCH to our Patrons. These charitable souls help keep us in the work yard, our camera equipment up to date, and the videos coming. Join us in the Tuamotu Atolls of French Polynesia as we weigh anchor and sail up the tropical lagoon to a small village in search of fresh food. This is our first video that I (Nicole) produced all by myself...well, not completely. Ryan taught me how to edit with Final Cut Pro and did all the coloring and audio. Thank you Ryan! We were totally unprepared for our first Chubasco Thunderstorm. Anchored in Bahía Concepción, we thought we had prepared for the coming lightning storm, but end up dragging several miles out to sea in 50 knot winds. Learn what we did wrong, and how we will plan better for future storms. In the calm after the storm, we enjoy some very rare rain in Baja Mexico and fill our water tanks! ________________ We hope you enjoy our videos and adventures. EMPTY MOOD Music & lyrics: Héra Ménard The cold wind starts to blow The trees are due for winter calm I look around and there is no place to go I fall asleep in your arms Then I dream about a home But your hand’s fading away And when I wake up you are gone And still the shadows find their way These times are getting rude It’s like I’m singing out of tune I’m kind of loosing my faith I start to brood I have to shake this empty mood I’m roaming in the streets The people’s faces are cold There’s somewhere else I’d rather be Cause the city keeps making me old I’d like to rest in a field With an oak as my only shelter If I stay there until the winter comes for real Maybe my soul will be lighter These times are getting rude It’s like I’m singing out of tune I’m kind of loosing my faith I start to brood I have to shake this empty mood The cold wind started to blow The trees were due for winter calm I looked around and there was no place to go I fell asleep in your arms ___________________________________________ Captured by a rainy afternoon in Sainte-Marcelline-de-Kildare Audio captation : Frédéric Hivon Video: Pierre-Olivier Hivon

Me and ‘Talisker 1’ sail south from Askoy to Kvitsoy Island in the company of SV ‘Horizon Hunter’ and wonderful Geir and Irene. I then catch up with terrific friends in Stavanger and then there is a weather window to sail from Norway to Scotland.

There is a weather window to sail from Norway to Scotland . Me and ‘Talisker 1’ sail from Stavanger to Peterhead. It was going to be the longest single handed sail of the summer. 45 hours at sea. I have now identified the Dolphins in the video as White-Beaked.

Check out Anthony's year leading up to his 19th birthday. For a teenager with special needs, Autism, he sure has a lot going for him. We are very blessed to have Anthony as apart of our family. We never know what he's going to say or do... thus life with Anthony is quite the adventure.
