You need to sacrifice comfort, consistency, safety, time with family, and often your career but it is possible. - Why don't you have 10x more subscribers? My channel isn't that old, many of the bigger channels you can compare mine to started putting out videos a couple years before I began. I could always use your help sharing my videos, spreading the word, and connecting with cross promotional opportunities. Editing and travelling tend to take up all my time. - Where are you now? We have made it through Hurricane Irma, and so has Elements of Life! Indiantown fared quite well through the storm, as far as we can tell there is no damage to any of the boats in the water or in the work yard and storage (except one shredded head sail). Matt and I stayed on the boat through the storm and did receive some strong gusts through the late night on Monday (over 70 mph we think), but overall did very well. The worst thing to happen to the marina was the surge, which we still don't know if it was solely rain or if the locks were letting water out of Lake Okeechobee. The docks were 2 feet under water when we woke up this morning, making it very hard to nearly impossible for people to get on and off their boats. Power has been down for 24 hours, although there is a generator running for the office and kitchen. It is expected power will be down for three days at the marina, and up to two weeks at the docks where the power boxes are underwater. We are very thankful that the damage here was not further and no one was injured. Once again, we could not be more thankful to be in Indiantown when a storm has come through.

We continue our trip around Croatia with Seth & Kat. We check out two awesome islands that are national parks, get some good sailing in and even pull out the big spinnaker for the first time. Our last stop is Dubrovnik where our two team members fly out and Sarah and I set off for Montenegro. I have one of the most frustrating encounters with the harbour master once we arrive, and despite all our efforts, we are sent packing back to Croatia that evening. Not good!! As the bad weather rolled in, we hit a pretty low spot as we now had no place to park L’Attitude Adjustment for the week while I flew off to do another week of work. We have our IRobot Roomba 450 Mopping Robot for one year now. My wife really likes it. It helps her to manage the household. Together with our Neato vacuum robot, it helps to reduce the workload. As you can see, the robot has to do parts of a bigger room per cycle. Therefore we use the boundary limiters. Small IR emitting cases which create boundaries for the robot. So far we had no problems yet.

Building a cruising sailboat Building a Jay Benford designed, 32ft junk schooner dory. Lofting part 2 and laminating the stem part 1. Firstly, I fill in some missing details of the lofting process shown in the previous video. After that, I begin with the lamination - the gluing up from thin strips - of the stem. The stem is the very front piece of the hull that is curved along its length to give an effective bow shape. This curve is achieved by gluing thin pieces of wood together on a form built on the lofting floor. During our 5th attempt to leave for our epic adventure to the Bahamas, our truck broke down! It took us 8 hours to get towed off the mountain and to where we needed to go! Today we are waiting to see if a local mechanic can fix our truck so we can get back on the road. We found out that the cadillac converter over heated causing the carpet in the truck to melt and almost catch fire! The Alternator also gave out and needed to be replaced, and while we're at it we might as well get a new battery as well. CAN ANYTHING ELSE GO WRONG!?!?!?!? We are officially the "Under Dog" trying our best to get to where we want to be! WILL WE EVER MAKE IT OUT OF OREGON????
