I decided to throw in a project video for all my subscribers that prefer these over the adventure videos, We will continue my Åland series next week but first.... I made one of the videos a while back showing how to (incorrectly) service a bronze winch... and boy did I get roasted in the comments. Most everyone was nice and a number of viewers explained to me what I got wrong and acknowledged what I got right. Not wanting to spread misinformation I took the video down and finally got around to making a replacement video. On this video I show you how I disassemble the bronze winch on my 1965 Alberg 30. This model of winch is entirely bronze and single speed so it doesn't get much easier. There are no bearings on my winches just bronze on bronze action (that sounds like the title of a porno). I cleaned all the parts with diesel fuel and used "Harken Pawl Oil" on the Pawls and used "Harken Winch Grease" lightly on the shaft. Thanks to my viewers who were kind to me on the last video and explained how I should be doing it. We are really enjoying this life and share everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
Corte mais preciso e controlado do que uma tico-tico . Certamente uma necessidade para este projeto.

A family of fishermen are stranded with no working engine on a pontoon boat. After I demonstrate a heave-to, I float near them to see if they want my assistance. I tow them safely to a dock, but to get them to their final destination, I flag down another motor boat and ask if they will tow the family under the low bridge.
#velejando #viagem

Building a cruising sailboat The title says it all really. Elizabeth works hard on the Pelican and Tony gets the foredeck boards fitted. The boat utilises a hard-chined, plywood construction and this design of boat is a proven, capable, ocean-going vessel. Boat building with plywood is a relatively easy and cost-effective way to produce a strong, monocoque-style boat hull. These videos aim to show the way in which I go about it. Thank you! Tony
Our best week on Avalon yet. We had heard great things about the Southern Dalmatian Islands of Croatia, but had not been prepared for how perfect they truly are. We sailed into the famous port of Hvar and explored what lies within the city walls; then to Vis, where we swam in a World War II Submarine bunker and anchored at the 'Best Beach in Europe', then were absolutely spellbound by Korcula. The sailing conditions were absolutely perfect and so was the water! We took turns on the swim platform soaking our feet in the warm ocean water as we sailed along, and Randall even went for a swim. That night while anchored in a familiar anchorage at Cambridge Cay, we ended up wrapping the anchor rode around the keel twice! We decided to drop our spare anchor off the stern of the boat to help keep us in place and found the results to be successful. We were able to get a good nights rest and didn't budge an inch the remainder of the night. The following morning we experienced the best sailing conditions we have ever seen. We were sailing at 6.5 knots which is the fastest our little boat has ever gone! We made our way even further south to White Point on Great Guana Cay, where we are planning on staying during the upcoming high winds. This anchorage has perfect holding with plenty of room to swing, great beaches, and of course crystal clear water for swimming. Have you ever seen a helicopter on a boat in real life? While anchored in some of the most beautiful anchorages in The Bahamas, there would be huge mega yachts and big fancy sailboats anchored next to us. We wondered what it would be like to have the money, so that we could experience The Bahamas on one of those big fancy boats, but then quickly realized that we were already seeing and experiencing The Bahamas exactly the same way they were, and probably for less $$. We were swimming in the same water, walking the same beaches and exploring the same islands. It doesn't take loads of money or a big fancy yacht to get you to where you want to be, as long as you are willing to set goals and put forth the work necessary. _____________________________________________________ MUSIC USED: "Sunrise" by: Nicolai Heidlas "Life is Wonderful" & "Flying Higher" by: Nick Petrov LINK: ~https://www.hooksounds.com/royalty-free-music/sunrise-acoustic/166697/ ~https://www.hooksounds.com/royalty-free-music/life-is-wonderful/706902/ ~https://www.hooksounds.com/royalty-free-music/flying-higher/706889/ ******************************************************** Affiliate links have been added to this description to help our viewers find products shown in our videos. “As an Amazon Associate we earn from qualifying purchases.” Thank you. ********************************************************
If you have seen footage of dozens of yachts coordinating themselves into rafts, it can seem complicated. In this video we break down how to create a tunnel raft for legendary events company The Yacht Week. The Yacht Week is the global leader for floating events. Sailing Virgins has a strong association with The Yacht Week, as all our instructors have at one point worked there as skippers, lead skippers, route managers or instructors. We head out exploring Raja Ampat, discovering the Clearest water and the BIGGEST school of fish ever! https://www.sailingnandji.com This week on Sailing Nandji, we finally depart the city of Sorong, Indonesia. After spending 2 long weeks being land locked, fixing Nandji and collecting our new tender, it was time to prepare to head out sailing and exploring once again. With the help from our friend Mister Wick, we got everything sorted and departed Sorong in the gentle afternoon breeze. With not enough wind to reach our desired destination, we spend 2 days slowly cruising the coast and adventuring further west into Raja Ampat. We have a skype chat with a bloke and decide to accept a new crew member onto Nandji, we have a week to reach port where we will collect our new guest! long the way we dive in the clearest water ever! The water off the small island of Air borek is in the middle of the Dampier straight which brings clean water from the ocean, providing the clearest water ever! Whilst diving we come across the biggest school of fish we have ever dived with!! Amazing! We are a young couple with a dog, who with no sailing experience, bought a yacht, got it blue water cruising ready and set off sailing around the Pacific! We just arrived to Indonesia after cruising the Pacific islands. We departed Australia 12 months ago and have since explored some amazing countries, met some amazing people and experienced cultures, dived pristine reefs, surfed solo in the middle of no where, spent weeks at sea, dealt with storms, big waves, strong winds and had the time of our life doing it! The adventure is just beginning as we sail West with the trades! SUBSCRIBE TO OUR CHANNEL. https://www.youtube.com/c/frothlyfesailingnandji CLICK THE BELL to know when NEW Nandji videos are up! We sail off into the night, CROSS the GULF STREAM, enter the BAHAMA BANK, and check in at SPANISH CAY, ABACO, BAHAMAS!! After setting ourselves up for the crossing at Lake Worth Inlet, Florida, we head to the Bahamas at about 11:00PM. This location would give us a due east approach to the Bahamas, while the Gulf Stream current hopefully swept us north to our target Bahamas Bank entrance of Memory Rock. It's important to enter at daylight and only by a known route such as Memory Rock, due to the shallow depths and reef that surrounds all of the Bahamas. After a successful night, we make the entrance as our depth goes from thousands of feet to about 14 in less than a mile! We press on another 60 miles to Great Sale Cay (outrunning a squall and an ominous water spout) to rest up and complete our initial journey for check in at Spanish Cay the next day. Our intention was to press on to Green Turtle Cay, but Spanish was just way to chill and nice to leave! Plus we enjoyed watching the dozen or so GIANT sharks feeding on the chum from the fishermen right in the marina! Watch next week as we press on to Hopetown and prepare to RACE in Regatta Time Abacos! Be sure to SUBSCRIBE for WEEKLY CONTENT! Cheers!! The 2018 Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup ended in traditional fashion with the final prize giving on the Piazza Azzurra in front of the Yacht Costa Smeralda. The winners in each class were rewarded with the respect of their peers, the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup trophies and, of course, Rolex timepieces, the recognized emblem of achievement. The week of racing on the waters of the Costa Smeralda and the Maddalena Archipelago, provided excellent competition for the 41 competing yachts. The victors were defined by the perfection of their execution both in preparation and during racing. 2019 marks the 30th edition of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup, which was founded by the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in 1980, is hosted in cooperation with the International Maxi Association and has been supported by Rolex since 1985.

The pain was intense after being stung by the most venomous caterpillar in the world, the Furry Puss Caterpillar. While pruning shrubs and trees, I felt something on my neck. As I tried to brush it off, I began to feel a burning sensation. This footage was taken in the moments that followed. Movie clips: Predator
Bien calme cette petite sortie, mais bien agréable quand-même
