The first race of the 2018/2019 Stewart 34 Championship Series hosted by Royal New Zealand Yacht Squadron. It was a rainy and blustery start to the series with 11 boats racing.

The 2018 Single Handed Route du Rhum Destination Guardaloupe is on on November 04.18 and here is our first report. It includes video reports on the Race Village in Saint Malo, thousands of visitors, English interviews with Sam goodchild, sam Davies and Phil Sharp. Sebastien Destrameau for France and the Charal pavillion and a tour of the boats in the harbour in a dinghy. Heute sind wir nach Kekova gesegelt (oder meistens motort), denn nach dem Sturm ist der Wind eingeschlafen. Die Ankerbucht ist wie glatt gebügelt.

We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, fifteen months after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

Before we set sail we explore the Yasawas in Fiji and see if we can convince Miriam to stick her head in the ocean! :) The core of "Family Circus" is Chris (Dad / Captain), Sayo (Mom / Admiral), Aya (First Officer / Deckhand) and Miya (Baby / Stainless Polisher). After many years in business in Vancouver we were tired of life inside the box and wanted to make a change, we just weren't exactly sure what would be next. In July of 2016, when Sayo was six months pregnant, we decided (somewhat at the last minute) to fly to New Caledonia for one last holiday before the baby was born. On this trip we decided to buy "Family Circus", planned to sail her to New Zealand and started an adventure that has changed our lives.
