Sea Samurai has got his work cut out for him! Check out this nice yellowtail he caught early in the morning. Being able to standup and sight fish is one of the many advantages of the Pro Angler series. Kevin Nakada (Sea Samurai) spotted this yellowtail eating his bait 5 feet away from him!

The Maxi 95 is one of the very popular Maxi boats, designed by Swedish Olympic medalist Pelle Petterson. Raised south of the Swedish west coast city of Gothenburg, Pelle Petterson won local and then national titles (four time in a row) before taking the bronze medal in the 1964 Olympics in Tokyo. Trained in industrial design in both the US and Italy, Petterson designed numerous things before turning to boat design. His designs include the Volvo P1800 which was featured in the 1960s TV show “The Saint” with Roger Moore. His first success was with the Maxi 77 of which 3,745 were made. It’s larger sister ship was the subsequently designed Maxi 95 of which close to 1,500 were made. Petterson continued with a number of models of the Maxi, his company was finally merged with Nimbus Boats of Sweden in the 1990s. His involvement with racing continued with events such as the 1977 America’s Cup challenger series where he lost to the Australians who eventually went on to win the America’s Cup in the 1980s.

This is Part 2 of a two parts episode, in which we decide to catch and cook an octopus in Culatra, Portugal, in spite of our absolute lack of fishing knowledge or experience. After last week’s failure to catch our octopus, we try again with a new strategy. We embark on our dinghy and drift-fish around our anchorage. Jonna manages to get a bite, but the octopus escapes and we come back to Polar Seal empty-handed. The next day, we up our game and head to the produce market in Olhão, where this time, the octopus doesn’t escape. Back at the boat, we place the octopus in the freezer, where we leave it until it’s time to prepare it. I had never prepared any type of meat or fish in my life, let alone an octopus. It's been a good year since we've paid any REAL attention to La Vagabonde.
