The annual Royal Malta Yacht Club Boxing Day Race is a yearly appointment where sailors take part in a short race to raise funds for the Malta Community Chest Fund's Boxing Day initiative - L-Istrina. During the race, sailors and crews are encouraged to dress up their boats and themselves to add to the cheer. This year's event raised €1250 - thank you to all those that donated!

Adventure Ocean has received a total makeover with the amplification of Oasis of the Seas. Firstly, it is MUCH BIGGER! Adventure Ocean has been expanded out to where the "secret sun deck" on deck 14 used to be. This made room for a room for an interactive gaming room, snapshot table-hockey, foosball and interactive wall-sized projection games that encourage movement and exercise. There are new console games (PS4 and Nintendo Switch) and a small library. New microsoft surface tables have been added in the game room. In this video, we complete our transit through the Okeechobee Waterway. It's been a long, hot, mostly boring trip, but we've thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to fully cross the State of Florida on a boat. I think the toughest part of the trip was the uncertainty of whether or not we'd be able to make it across Lake Okeechobee without incident. Thankfully, there was very little drama along the way aside, of course, from a few giant wake from inconsiderate power boaters. Absolute SCUBA India is proud to be the FIRST Indian Scuba diving centre to create a new World Record on 27th Dec 2016. The record is held by Pune's CEF who trusted Absolute SCUBA to deliver them the Record. We did ! This video is a tribute to the efforts leading to this historic win. Over 6 months of extensive training at our Pune training pool, much organisation between India & Koh Tao which was selected as the destination for the "Official Attempt" , lots of Guinness World Record rule books to read, dive plans to make, fine tune requirements of close to 80 dive professionals required for the effort and finally attempt the Record after a day of practice on 27 Dec 2016. Our win was the 3rd time EVER this record was created and became "Officially Amazing" as a Guinness World Record. It was all for one. And one for all. The 14,000 mile race around the Atlantic got off to a dramatic start with strong winds and big seas pushing the 100ft trimarans to their limits. Von San Sebastian segle ich weiter nach Teneriffa. Die Liegeplatzsituation ist auf Teneriffa eher schwierig, deshalb sind wieder ein paar Ankerstopps dabei. Den Tiefpunkt der Reise habe ich, als mir nachts unter schwierigen Bedingungen das Ankergeschirr reißt. Glücklicherweise gehen beide Ankeralarme an und ich komme noch einmal mit einem blauen Auge davon. Danach geht es wieder aufwärts und auf Lanzarote bekomme ich dann endlich auch einen Liegeplatz für die Jambo. In der Marina Rubicon bleibt sie nun bis zum Ende des Jahres. Being out in the middle of the ocean is a very lonely place, and being in the middle of the city is quite the opposite. Nat and I are with a few very special people in Praia. Namely Manu, a Cape Verdean native who lives in Marseille France, and in Praia. He shows us his amazing house he has built and some of his city. We also meet Bruno the Butcher, another Frenchman who's settled in the city. And as well we see a little more of Tarrafal and some of its residents. We failed to mention that the motor is not actually running on Tarka. The previous owner had a mechanic look it over and he took it all apart to asses, but will not come back to put it all back together!!! Spencer wants to get out in 2 weeks, so this may put a damper on the schedule.

This is our first Christmas on board as a cruising live-aboard. It's also our first xmas in the warm, where you can go swimming in the sea on Christmas morning and have a BBQ in the afternoon. There are over 50 cruisers celebrating xmas with us at YPC marina Cartagena. It's a great atmosphere with a very international group of sailors. We also take the chance to go on a road trip just before Xmas into the Sierra Nevada mountains just a short drive from the marina. Everyone loves them! Here's the recipe, Judy did twice this amount in the film. packet 320g rolled puff pastry + 1 egg for glazing Filling: 400g sausage meat 1/2 red onion 1Tbl spoon olive oil 45g pistachios 25g dried cranberrys or goii berrys 1/2 tsb ground cinnamon, 1/2 tsp ground cumin 1/2 tsp ground sumac salt & pepper Finely chop the onions and softly fry in oil until caramelised. Mix all the ingredients together. Place on the rolled out pastry, roll and cut to required size. Glaze with beaten egg. Cook at 200 degrees `C until golden. Hello Friends, This is a "Friday Bonus" video! In this episode I show you how I made our new winch bases from a rescued piece of timber from the famous sailing yacht USS Highland Light (IX-48) (R.I.P.) The large chunk of laminated white oak that had been part of the ship for almost a hundred years was heavy and awkward to work with and just a little too big for my tools. I show you how I dealt with this obstacle and how to "round" a block of wood using a chop saw when you don't have a big enough bandsaw or its too much for a jigsaw.
