The boat I designed and built finally has all the pieces together (trimaran) and is rigged up as I hit the water. With a little effort and patience, the sail is up and I begin the start of actually sailing the boat around. I'm looking forward to the places I can go... Lets see where it takes me.

Sailing out of Alor Island was bitter sweet as we'd had such a great time there. We were sent off by a huge pod of dolphins and had a very calm overnight sail to our next spot. Now this place is not in any guide books and I hadn't seen any other boats going there but a local guy called Ridwan had sent me a few pictures and told me it was a very beautiful place. We arrived just after sunrise and saw right away that we'd found something special. Anchoring in 14m of water with a submerged sand island a few meters off our stern we truly had found a little piece of paradise. This video is only 12min long but we spent nearly a week here. No villages nearby, no sounds other than nature, just true bliss. This week we spend every day in the ocean! We explore Comino Island in Malta anchoring in Blue Lagoon exploring some caves where we finally find the most epic cave to date!!! I would say just as good as any Blue Grotto!!! We try our luck with free diving on a shipwreck 20m deep, P31 in Crystal Bay which was an old Malta Patrol Boat sunk in 2009. Which is actually in crystal clear waters, still intact! We have a sad ending to our video this week. If you have friends or family who are depressed, give them a call, check up on them. A reminder for everyone to spread love, peace, good vibes, compassion, generosity. Admire the people around you, learn, teach, be optimistic and set small goals, your dreams will come, don't stress. Spiced Lentil burger patties (makes 4) : 1 can of lentils strained and washed 1-2 eggs 1 teaspoon of stock powder (beef/chicken/veggie) Ground cumin Chilli powder Garlic powder Pepper Flour - In a bowl add rinsed lentils - sprinkle with flour until lentils are coated with minimal flour leftover in the bowl (just enough to coat them) - add seasoning to taste (lots of cumin!!!) - add stock powder - once combined crack one egg and mix together (add another if you feel the mixture is too dry) - spoon mixture into a hot oiled pan and flatten to form crispy patties. ................. ................. ................. ................. Für das Wetter nutzen wir die lokalen Wetterberichte, sowie die App Predict Wind. In dieser App gibt es auch die Option sich anhand der Windrichtung eine Route ausrechnen zu lassen. Weather Routing nennt sich das. Zum planen der Route nutzen wir die App Navionics und ganz klassische Papierkarten von NV Charts. Nach der ganzen Vorbereitung geht es dann an die Umsetzung. Sailing ORIZON - Segeln im Mittelmeer... Der Medicane ist durchgezogen und wir segeln von der Bucht in der wir abgewettert hatten wieder südwärts. Machen bei dieser Gelegenheit nochmal einen Stopp in der traumhaften Two-Rocks-Bay. Nun geht es nach Lefkas und die Wettervorhersage meldet die nächsten Tage viele und starke Gewitter, also steuern wir gleich mal die Tranquilbay bei Nidri an und erleben dort ein sehr heftiges Gewitter in der Nacht mit fast 40kn Wind. In den Regenpausen sind wir in Nidri unterwegs und wandern auch gleich mal zum Wasserfall, was nach Gewitter und Erdbeben eine spannende Sache ist. Es gibt noch einige Gewitter und starke Regengüsse und deshalb verlegen wir uns in die große Vlychon-Bay, da ist viel Platz zum schwoien. '++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++++ The Medicane is over and we are sailing south from the bay where we were weathered. Of course, take this opportunity to make another stop in the beautiful Two Rocks Bay. Now we are going to Lefkas and the weather forecast reports many and strong thunderstorms for the next few days. We drive directly to Tranquil Bay near Nidri and experience a very violent thunderstorm at night with a wind of almost 40 knots. In the rain breaks we are out and about in Nidri and also hike to the waterfall, which is an exciting thing after thunderstorms and earthquakes.
