Just a weekend project rebuilding and installing the cabinet wall and shelves in the head. This was a long-awaited update and we're glad to finally get the time to do it.
After being down since May with Lisa's knee injury and my surprise blood clot we got out for our first sail of the Fall season. Heavy winds were predicted and we were excited to get back out there. As usual this year the winds were dead calm and arrived about 4 hours late (as we were returning to dock). All in all, it was still a fantastic day on the water and we were able to try out a few things during our launch and dock. Thanks for watching and please like, share, subscribe!
Sorry for such a long delay in getting anything out for you. Lisa and I have had a tough summer with health setbacks. We are doing much better, other than Lisa healing from knee surgery. We have been busy working on the boat and doing some sailing and overnight trips. This video is a short rundown of some of the adventures over the summer so far. Continuing with some wintertime projects. The holding tank under the port side settee was cracked and leaking. I decided to remove for now and in the process found out the support board for the settee was also destroyed. This episode just covers the removal of the holding tank and settee board replacement. Thanks for watching! Please like, share and subscribe. This series focuses more on the project work around the boat. So if you're interested in what it takes to maintain and repair a vessel then this is for you!
The water level is down and winter is coming so we took a couple days to winterize the boat and get her ready for a couple months off. However, we'll still be working on her and staying busy through the winter. Thanks for watching! Please like, share and subscribe. This series focuses more on the project work around the boat. Skip Intro: 0:41 Welcome to SV Charlotte Sailing! In this episode we get Charlotte out for her first sail in 3 years. She's dirty and a little messy, but we wanted to get in a sail before the season slows or ends. We didn't have any wind so it was a good time for some sail exercises with new crew. Had a blast and just enjoyed seeing her back on the water. To celebrate the season we added some Christmas Lights on the boat. Skip Intro: 0:39 Welcome to SV Charlotte Sailing! In this episode we bring the pups out for the first time and they seemed to love it. We have a lot of modifications to do for easier in and out access but we're looking forward to having them on-board more often. We also get a little work done with some mast climbing (for the first time) and a new freshwater pump. We finish off September into October with a Full Moon party and have several friends over to bring in the new month. Welcome to SV Charlotte Sailing! After finding out we are going to be grandparents for the first time, I went a little crazy and bought a sailboat. Join us on our journey to get SV Charlotte ready for her Bluewater return and follow our craziness from Tennessee to Florida and beyond! In this episode we visit the boat for the first time and do a little project work. However during our weekend of projects, we received the call we've waited 9 months for. You guessed it, the sailboat namesake and our 1st granddaughter "Charlotte Elizabeth" is on her way. Mommy went into labor and we're making our way down to Florida to welcome her home. We couldn't be more excited and as you'd expect, this video is the beginning of our journey becoming grandparents! Welcome to the world Charlotte Elizabeth!
