We sail down Craignish loch and pass into Jura Sound, where we pass by the notorious Gulf of Corryvreckan which forms whirlpools and standing waves. Luckily for us it was a calm day as the standing waves can reach up to 9m high. We moor up in the friendly Croabh Haven marina and spend some time exploring. The highlight was Alan's birthday and enjoying the squat lobsters, a catch that is normally thrown back! The small cafe on the island by the marina is a real find and we recommend you check them out, Croabh Haven Watersports Cafe, they have a water sports centre too for the adventurous. After spending a few nice days on Huahine last week, we are heading further west and will make a stop on Tahaa. The west side turns out to be a real idyll and we see clownfish for the first time in Polynesia! A short time later we continue to Raitea, the island lies directly south of Tahaa more or less in the same lagoon. We have great hope that we get our 2nd vaccination there and do not have to go back to Tahiti and then finally can leave for Bora Bora! Will our plan work? While you can never hold a good team back, few were expecting the Mirpuri Challenge Trophy race, the coastal stage of The Ocean Race Europe, to deliver such significant food for thought. To be fair, there weren't that many that thought it would be a closely contested race either - but we were all proved wrong. Not only was the Cascais coastal race far closer than we had predicted, but the 40nm sprint provided considerable food for thought going forwards - Who knew?

Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. Much love

Unsere Reise mit dem Wohnmobil durch Andalusien geht weiter. Nächster Halt Tarifa. Es herrscht typisches Wetter. Es ist windig! Stück für Stück kämpfen wir uns am Strand von Bolonia die Sanddüne nach oben. Ein schöner Ausflug, doch übernachten wollen wir hier nicht. Es ist laut und voll. Doch als wir ein Stück weiter fahren, stellen wir schnell fest, dass es in dieser Gegend gar nicht so einfach ist mit dem Wohnmobil Freizustehen. Überall stehen große Verbotsschilder für Wohnmobile. Am Cabo Roche ist es wunderschön, doch die Parksituation lässt uns nicht lange verweilen und wir fahren weiter nach Cadiz. Wir erkunden die älteste Stadt Europas zu Fuß und auf dem Fahrrad.
