Ep 15 Sailing past the Gulf of Corryvreckan

We sail down Craignish loch and pass into Jura Sound, where we pass by the notorious Gulf of Corryvreckan which forms whirlpools and standing waves. Luckily for us it was a calm day as the standing waves can reach up to 9m high. We moor up in the friendly Croabh Haven marina and spend some time exploring. The highlight was Alan's birthday and enjoying the squat lobsters, a catch that is normally thrown back! The small cafe on the island by the marina is a real find and we recommend you check them out, Croabh Haven Watersports Cafe, they have a water sports centre too for the adventurous.
