Sunreef Yachts is bringing you another video series mixing cooking and sustainability: MARINADE: Meat Free Monday Edition! Together with Sunreef Yachts Eco brand ambassador Nico Rosberg, the company is taking part in a wonderful initiative launched by Paul McCartney that encourages people worldwide to reduce meat consumption to help the environment and have a healthier lifestyle. Sunreef Yachts asked one of Europe’s top chefs Tomasz Koprowski to prepare 4 plant-based culinary creations cooked by the Sunreef Yachts' team members. Members of different company's departments will prepare delicious meat-free dishes in each episode, promoting a positive impact on our planet and a healthier lifestyle. In today's episode of MARINADE: Meat Free Monday Edition we welcome Sunreef Yachts' Marketing Department. The team will be making Ratatouille with tomato sauce and garlic baguette. If you feel inspired, prepare this dish yourself at home using the recipe below: Ratatouille with tomato sauce and garlic baguette (4 portions) - 1 zucchini - 1 eggplant - 2 paprikas (two colors) - 1 red onion (large piece) - 2 cloves of garlic - 3 sprigs of thyme - 200 g of tomato pulp - 200 g of cherry tomatoes - salt, pepper - 50 ml of olive oil - 1 baguette Cut all vegetables into cubes (1.5 by 1.5 cm). Cut cherry tomatoes in half. Marinate the vegetables in pepper, garlic, olive oil and thyme. Cut the baguette into slices, brush with olive oil mixed with garlic. Fry the vegetables in hot oil. Add tomato pulp and stew for a few minutes. Season with salt and pepper. Put the baguette slices in the oven (preheated to 200°C). Bake until they are browned. Serve the ratatouille on a plate, garnish with thyme and cherry tomatoes and an aromatic baguette. Voilà!

I met Matt Harvey in June 2021 when he joined me onboard Silver Fern as Chief Mate on the 600nm passage from Southport to Hamilton Island, Queensland. With the various challenges that unfolded along the way, Matt proved himself as a capable and composed skipper, especially under pressure. Fast forward 4 months and Matt has just completed the purchase (sight unseen) of a 70-foot expedition yacht, that’s been parked up in Tahiti for 18 months (thanks to COVID-19) after it was halfway through its second circumnavigation. With a 200,000nm and 30-year history of ocean sailing and adventure, the yachts previous expeditions include one to Antarctica by the British Army, who retraced Ernest Shackleton’s famous voyage. Matt’s passion for sailing has him plunging headfirst into commercial yacht ownership and joining Ocean Sailing Expeditions, with his 70-foot expedition yacht to be renamed “Salt Lines”. This enables us to increase safety on remote expeditions with 2 yachts and expands the range of sailing adventures we can offer. It's taken a few years, but finally we have had a Lazy Jack bag made and Chris is ecstatic! He's nagged on long enough for it...I think he's earned it! It even took us a while to decide whether to stay with the colour, but we got there in the end, I hope you approve?! The UV band on our Genoa is also complete which was the stuff which really needed doing and we have a console cover being produced too, we couldn't be happier! #accident #workinghard #buildingboats Carla cuts her finger on something in the Pilot House. She is working on installing the electrics in the roof, not a very easy job. Simon finishes a lot of work in the front cabin including the bed, which turns out very beautiful. We start on placing the ceiling in the Saloon with a new plastic system instead of the wood panels. This system will save us weeks of work on wood panels with the painting so we are very happy with this solution. The finishing looks much better as well. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

Es wird Zeit für unseren ersten Campingplatz in Rumänien. Wir werden dort herzlich, mit einer großen Portion Gastfreundschaft und ein paar Gläsern Palinka empfangen. Die Reise geht weiter nach Sibiu ins größte Freilichtmuseum Europas. Was wir hier zu sehen bekommen ist der absolute Hammer. Auf einer Fläche von 96 Hektar tauchen wir ein in die traditionelle Lebensweise Rumäniens. Die Salina Turda steht ganz oben auf unserer To-Do´s. Doch würden wir sie auch weiterempfehlen? Ganz sicher sind wir uns nicht. Auch in dieser Folge zeigen wir euch die gewaltige Natur Rumäniens. Wunderschön, wild und grün erstreckt sich die Turda Schlucht vor uns. Eine Wanderung, die sich mit zu unseren Highlights unserer Reise durch Rumänien einreiht. Leider finden wir auch hier in den Wäldern überall zu viel Müll, der sorglos liegen gelassen wird. Uma velejada com aproximadamente 5 horas e meia com um vento em popa favorável, saímos no final de setembro no rabo de uma frente fria vinda do sul. Esta viagem foi muito especial para o casal que pela primeira vez realizaram o sonho de sair velejando em mar aberto em uma travessia oceânica. Receptor AIS com Raspberry Pi e dAISy HAT: https://wegmatt.com/ Parabéns ao Adrian da Wegmatt, que dá ótimo suporte. Talvez a maior vantagem deste setup seja o baixíssimo consumo de energia. O cartão SD que usei neste caso foi um de 8GB. Mas já tenho outro cartão de 64 com outro setup, neste caso vou usar o Raspberry como computador, com teclado, mouse e tela; ao invés do setup com o tablet via wifi. Mas esse vídeo é com o setup headless, que significa que o Raspberry não rsponde a nada, ao ligar ele começa a receber o sinal que vem da placa dAISy que está conectada à antena, e transmite o sinal pelo wifi que ele mesmo gera. As mensagens são codificadas num padrão NMEA, e a transmissão usa um programinha chamado kplex, para programar o Raspberry se usa um programa bem simples e interessante chamado putty e a rede wifi da sua casa(ou cabo), tá tudo nas descrições abaixo. Il Club Nautique Ulysse è una piccola e giovane struttura, ma che ha già in bacheca importanti trofei. Ora il salto di qualità: la Federazione mondiale ha invitato due ragazzi, di 14 e 15 anni, al campiopnato che si terrà questa settimana nel lago di Garda. E forse sarà la volta buona perché possano ricevere aiuti dalle autorità tunisine. Per adesso hanno contato sulle loro foprze e sull'aiuto di qualche privato. Quest'anno, alla Barcolana 2021, le raffiche di vento hanno raggiunto i 45 nodi e forse più. Io ero imbarcata come ospite su di un 80 ft., non avevo mai navigato su una barca a vela così grande e in quei giorni a Trieste soffiava una Bora non indifferente. La barca "Ancilla Domini Bamar" ha raggiunto i 18 Nodi di velocità... incredibile! Mi sono divertita come una matta (certo perché non ero io la comandante😅), non solo in mare ma anche a terra per le vie e le rive di Trieste, che in quei giorni di Barcolana si trasforma ed è piena di stand di ogni tipo... io ovviamente mi fermavo in quelli mangerecci!😋 Volete vedere com'è stare su una barca di 80 ft. con raffiche a 45 Nodi?
