In this episode we talk a bit about marine conservation initiatives taking place at Plantation Island Resort, where we have the opportunity to lend a hand for a couple of weeks. Because there's a lot of work to do in the water, we don't bring the camera on the job site most of the time, so most of the footage turns out to be more about our time on land with the great caretaking staff who are here working on the resort in preparation for the return of tourists. The UV-protected Code Permanent is part of the “Code” family, but especially designed to stay up and ready for use all the time! The sail can be hoisted in the harbor and can then be left up all day long, overnight and even for weeks while on your way. The sail has a high clew for better downwind performance and visibility at sea. The sail is used on an AT cable and the furling system is bottom/up. The bottom/up system means that the sail is furled from the bottom and up and therefore reacts immediately when you pull the furler line. Dunoon - Sandbank The Camels Hump This is part of our Secret Scotland series and we look at another true gem. The Argyle is a secret coast that most folk pass on their way north missing some amazing spectacular things to see and do. This one is so close to the Western Ferries that most wizz past, it is a low-level walk and can easily be completed in two hours or longer with a picnic and time to admire the views. The scramble up the last part is safe and so well worth the views, you will need good walking shoes as the trees have recently been felled and it is a little uneven under foot. We’ve never experienced a city anchorage like the Las Brisas anchorage before - with the sunning view of the city lights, and the convenience of having everything a city has to offer at your doorstep - or should I say a short bus or tram ride away! This anchorage is always busy, cruisers are either doing work on their boats or preparing for a crossing to French Polynesia or Costa Rica. We had lots of little jobs that needed to be ticked off whilst we were waiting for French Polynesia to grant us permission to enter. So we based ourselves here for a little while before we went off to explore the Pacific side of Panama. We generally don’t like to use our water maker in crowded or polluted anchorages - for obvious reasons. So we show you in this episode how we obtain water when we decommission the water maker for this reason. Its hot sweaty business which we all did not enjoy at all! But first after not seeing any shops restaurants or other people at all during the last year, we were eager to go and explore the city and its beautiful sights. We decided to do a school trip to the Panama Canal museum which is located n the old town. The old town is becoming “The” place to live and go in Panama. It is being completely renovated and has stunning apartments and restaurants as a result. We enjoyed walking around taking in the atmosphere and visiting the quaint shops. The Panama Canal museum was fantastic - we all loved learning all about the difficulties and challenges they faced and how important the canal is to the world. Sabina und ich haben zwar schon ein wenig an Bord gearbeitet, hauptsächlich das Schiff ausgeräumt, aber da wir dabei immer über einen wackeligen Steg gehen mussten, habe wir den eigentlichen Refit auf die Zeit an Land verschoben. A North Easterly breeze means a whole new experience for me as i'll be contending with a grumpy Northerly breeze. After a quick fly of the drone, I end up running, wing-on-wing down to Bala camping beach where we visit the "enchanted Forest". I then try and do some beach launching practise followed by some Lying-a-hull practise and then finishing up with some beating back to base in decent winds. Depois de reiterar por muitos anos que nunca teria um animal na minha casa, uma cadela pariu na porta da minha residência e fui "obrigado" a cuidar da mãe e de dois filhores. Não gostava desse bicho. Mas, a partir do sétimo mês de idade notei que o macho (o THOR) era muito apegado comigo. Então comecei a leva-lo diariamente nas minhas caminhadas. Criou-se, entre nós, uma amizade muito bonita e elogiada por pessoas amantes dos pets. Com o tempo, de forma natural e impeceptível, o cão passou a me obedecer em muita coisa, Inclisive não atravessandoa rua sem minha ordem. No mês que completei 66 anos, e o Thor 2,5 anos, por insistênica de amigos e principalmente da minha filha, comprei minha primeira bicicleta da vida. Quando fui pedalar a primeira vez meu corção partiu ao deixar meu amigo. Tentei coloco-lo no guidão, mas ele é grande e eu muito barbeiro. Então encostei a bike e não andei enquanto não comprei um reboque para puxá-lo. Como sou aventureiro por natureza, resolvi criar um desafio: sair de Morrinhos, GO, e chegar até Paraty, RJ, onde mora minha filha. Nachdem Jörg die Bruty nach Heiligenhafen zum Segelmacher unseres Vertrauens Oeverdieck & Heinritz gebracht hat, konnten wir zwei Wochen später mit neuer toller Persenning und komplett neuer Kuchenbude unseren Weg zu unserem Saisonliegeplatz nach Ueckermünde starten. Eine Woche Zeit haben wir uns dafür genommen. Das wir dort aber nicht ankommen werden wussten wir zu dieser Zeit noch nicht. A vela ,apesar de suja, está muito boa. Dá pra velejar bastante com ela ainda. O barco é muito equilibrado e todo rígido. O(a) ganhador(a) vai ter muitas alegrias! Bonjour à tous et toutes, Escale à St Florent, notre Voilier Antécume est au mouillage. Nous allons faire cap au nord jusqu’a Centuri, très joli port authentique. Profiter bien de cette journée de plaisance, tout était parfait, il manquait juste un peu de vent... On a tous entendu « Vis ta vie à fond » , c'est justement ce que nous avons décidé de faire. Voilier Antécume est un espace où nous partageons nos voyages et aventures. Notre voilier, un Dufour 375 GL, est notre fidèle complice, grâce à lui, nous découvrons des paysages merveilleux, nous rencontrons des personnes toujours intéressantes.

Pushing on to get this boat finished, some of the last bits of wiring are completed and possibly the last trim pieces in the cabin are fitted. The aft engine bed plate is fabricated and installed, and the forepeak mattress foam arrives. This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. With time ticking on we sail from Camden Harbour to Prudhoe Islands in Montague Sound visiting Hanover Bay, Careening Bay and Bigge Island along the way. We find fresh water in Hanover Bay and visit the Mermaid tree in Careening Bay. On the long sail to Bigge Island we hit 25 knot winds against time and some rough seas for around 6 hours. Impressive rock art is found at Wary bay and we are given a bag of banana prawns but a friendly prawn trawler crew. We finally head for Prudhoe Islands for a peaceful night in shelter bay enjoying a meal of fresh fish and barbequed prawns.
