Season 8 : The Hawaiian Adventures : Episode #217 Hello Friends, On this episode I awake in the beautiful Makua anchorage and enjoy getting to see the local spinner dolphins do their tricks. Once the coffee kicked in I swam the 600 yards to shore and went in search of shoreside adventures! After locating the hidden trailhead, I made my way up the short but steep trail to the Upper Kaneana Caves (Upper Makua Caves) and took in the breath taking view! Once back down to the road I took my chances and explored the Lower Kaneana Cave and hoped not to get eaten by the shapeshifter Nanaue, son of Kamohoali'i, who is said to turn himself into a human to lure his dinner into the cave where he changes back into a shark to devour his victims!!!! Anche questa stagione inizia come ogni stagione di tutto rispetto: con i LAVORI in cantiere. Circa un anno fa abbiamo portato Julia (la nostra barca a vela di 15 metri) in cantiere per la manutenzione ordinaria. Il suo rimessaggio invernale (lo stazionamento fuori dall'acqua, per intenderci) sarebbe dovuto durare circa un paio di settimane, ma a causa di un accumulo di ritardi dei meccanici oberati di lavoro, è rimasta all'asciutto per quasi 6 mesi. Di conseguenza, anche le riprese e il racconto che abbiamo fatto rappresentano un riassunto di diversi mesi. On profite d'une bonne fenêtre météo pour aller sur l'Ile de Flores aux Açores. Le port et la Marina de cette petite ile ont été dévastés par la tempête Lorenzo en 2019. On ne porta donc aller que dans des mouillages pour ancrer le voilier, mais ils sont peu nombreux sur cette ile et malheureusement peu abrités des vents et de la houle. On en profite pour visiter cette ile sauvage qui a su préserver son caractère authentique !
