Panama City's dirty secret!

We’ve never experienced a city anchorage like the Las Brisas anchorage before - with the sunning view of the city lights, and the convenience of having everything a city has to offer at your doorstep - or should I say a short bus or tram ride away! This anchorage is always busy, cruisers are either doing work on their boats or preparing for a crossing to French Polynesia or Costa Rica. We had lots of little jobs that needed to be ticked off whilst we were waiting for French Polynesia to grant us permission to enter. So we based ourselves here for a little while before we went off to explore the Pacific side of Panama. We generally don’t like to use our water maker in crowded or polluted anchorages - for obvious reasons. So we show you in this episode how we obtain water when we decommission the water maker for this reason. Its hot sweaty business which we all did not enjoy at all! But first after not seeing any shops restaurants or other people at all during the last year, we were eager to go and explore the city and its beautiful sights. We decided to do a school trip to the Panama Canal museum which is located n the old town. The old town is becoming “The” place to live and go in Panama. It is being completely renovated and has stunning apartments and restaurants as a result. We enjoyed walking around taking in the atmosphere and visiting the quaint shops. The Panama Canal museum was fantastic - we all loved learning all about the difficulties and challenges they faced and how important the canal is to the world.
