After months of "couch sailing" on YouTube we decided it was time to stop dreaming and dream and start living it. Brit has wanted to sail and own boat for many years but it was always something that didn't seem it could possible for us. Until we stumbled across countless and I mean countless YouTube Channels like, La Vagabonde, Beau & Brandy, Sailing Uma, SV Delos, Parlay Revival, Tula's Endless Summer, Odd Life Crafting, Expedition Evans and the list goes on. We can only hope to inspire one person to chase their dreams as they have inspired us to. After what seemed like a long search for a sailboat we learned about hurricane damaged boats for auction down in the Caribbean. We came across a listing for a 43 Beneteau Oceanis that was currently being auctioned. We put in our bid and got out bid a few times before finally winning in the end. We had a short window to get from California to St. Thomas USVI to secure our purchase. Now the fun begins! It is time to refit this hurricane damaged sailboat make her our own. Thanks for watching! Matty, Brit & Wicked :)
Now that testing has gone so well, I thought it would be a good idea to make a more permanent, heavy duty cable extension for the 48V motor.

For the next few days, we will be completed secluded amongst the jungle and away from civilisation, with the only way in and out via a cable car ferry across the Daintree River. This place is amazing for its attributes of crystal clear freshwater streams flowing through the jungle all the way to beautiful sandy shores where the jungle meets the sea. Hej hej, welcome back! Join us this week as we take a quick detour up to Sweden before continuing our journey out to the Atlantic with Navika. We go to Gothenburg and visit some friends of ours you might recognise from our time in Menorca (Ep. 21) who have a sailboat here called Solvind. We take the boat out for a sail and explore the islands of the Gothenburg archipelago soaking in all the Swedish vibes we can get. We go visit our friend's brewery in Gothenburg and get hooked on saunas! We drive up to Dalarna to see Lars's grandma and family and do more saunas and get some forest time. If you're curious about what Sweden's all about then this one is for you! Thanks for watching! Très léger mais habitable, le 57 promet des performances exceptionnelles – dans des conditions idéales de bonne brise et de mer relativement peu agitée, le 57 pourrait tenir des moyennes de 20 nœuds pendant de longues heures. In this video, learn how we chose our new marina... all the factors we weighed and considered. You'll need to do your homework, because your needs will be different than ours. But the ideal marina for you is definitely there!
This video contains the rare occasion of celebrating Holi onboard. We sailors have no religion and we celebrate all the festival with same enthusiasm. It rare to celebrate Holi like this onboard because if you are lucky than only the day of Holi u are not in port ,no traffic around, and weather is very much favourable for celebrating. I thank my all crew and officer onboard as although from different nationality they participated and made this occasion memorable. Cheers to all seaferer out at sea. And Happy Holi

And we find a temporary solution and change course completely! Продължаваме плаването през ДР, сбогуваме се с няколко лодки от компанията и се изправяме пред въпроса на къде да поемем? Our recent visit to Bogles Round House in Carriacou took us down memory lane! :) We enjoyed a fresh meal along with a few fantastic bee's knees cocktails. At the entrance of the restaurant a plaque states: "Man does not have to live or think within straight lines or boxes either physical or metaphorical." Well...we really couldn't agree more. The best Bee's knees we ever had was served up at The Back Room Bar in NYC- we had some special nights there! :) Check them out and use the same hidden entrance that was used 85 years ago. Enjoy a cocktail from a teacup—the way people used to secretly drink during prohibition. http://backroomnyc.com/ If you find yourself curious, dig a little deeper on the history of this cocktail here- https://spiritsbeacon.com/cocktails/recipes/bees-knees Thanks to Bogles Round house for awesome memories. Don't miss a proper meal there if you find yourself in Hillsborough, Carriacou. The property was designed and "built primarily from of natures leftovers and man made waste". It's a small restaurant and it most always books up so take the time to make a reservation to avoid disappointment. https://www.boglesroundhouse.com/ 📸Instagram: Catamaran.Cocktails 📸Instagram: ThenTheyWentRogue #fountainepajot #catamaransailing #cocktailrecipes

First week on board and what a rollercoaster of emotion it was. Having just bought and moved onto our dream sailing boat, we were hit with the obstacle of where to keep it. Being told to leave (with all marinas, everywhere full), is just not really what you want to hear when you have just bought something 40ft..however, our luck changed and we managed to find a space. However, we weren't out of the woods yet, we had to move the boat for the first time and then a storm hit and we spent the next few days sheltering from the rain and consistently checking our mooring lines. Plummeted head first into the harsh reality of boat life (but wouldn't wish for it to be any different)! 〰️〰️〰️〰️ Episode 2 I Chapter 1: Beginning Boat Life [UK] 〰️〰️〰️〰️ 👪 Join the Tribe on our *Patreon* https://www.patreon.com/teulutribe 👕Pick up some *Merch* https://www.teulutribe.com/ 📷 Find us over on *Instagram* https://www.instagram.com/teulutribe/ 💬 Connect with us on *Facebook* https://www.facebook.com/teulutribe/ 🛠️ Teulu’s always trying to break herself, our *Amazon Wishlist* is here https://www.amazon.co.uk/hz/wishlist/ls/2045NNIGRTMQT?ref_=wl_share ☕ Treat us to a *Cup of Tea* https://www.buymeacoffee.com/teulutribe 📧 *Business Enquires* teulutribe@gmail.com ☑️ *Subscribe* for a new video every Monday *About Our Boat* - Name pronunciation (Tay-Lee), its Welsh, feel free to call her Too-Loo/Te-a-lu/Teaugukug/Tulu - 1987 Colvic Victor Ketch - 40ft/12m - Two Cabins - Encapsulated Keel and Skeg-Hung Rudder - 13 Tonnes *About Us* We are Becka and Zach, a couple who, in 2020, dreamt of sailing off into the big blue. Trouble is- we were in a pandemic, had a university degree to finish, on a student budget, only had ever sailed dingies, oh and didn’t have a boat. The dream seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, finished our degrees, worked as many hours as physically possible, saved with all our might, got experience and in March 2022 bought our very own sailboat, Teulu. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. We hope you can join us as we sail around the world and keep #bloodydoingit #sailing #boatlife

SAILING BIRTHDAY TO REMEMBER After the Carnival in Fort De France it was my birthday! We sailed to another anchorage and I was surprised with a Swedish invasion of BE FREE! My friends on AURORA had invited RAN Sailing and their buddy boat STAR to my birthday We continue our sailing and made a stopover in one of my favorite bays here in Martinique. Did som wreck diving and enjoyed the clear water for swimming and scouting for turtles. My friend Terje and his dog Basse is still onboard as my guests, and I try to teach Basse wine tasting. Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 4 on youtube I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and also been an active regatta sailor. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and been sailing ever since. Also more than 10 years experience from Search and Rescue at sea in Norway. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore.

Episode #231 : YACHT DELIVERY CHRONICLES : The Hawaiian Adventures : Part 2 Hello Friends, Welcome to Part 2 of the latest installment of Yacht Delivery Chronicles. On this episode Esteban and myself head to his boat at Nawiliwili Harbor from Port Allen on Kauai and prepare the boat for immediate departure. We weren't on island for even 5 hours before we were untying the lines and pushing off into the night. Our quick turn around was due to a forecast for increasing winds within 24 hours time. After a lumpy night crawling across the channel and me getting seasick for the first time in many moons we found ourselves off the coast of Oahu with the Triton's beta marine engine overheating. We came about and pointed in bound for Waianae Harbor. After 23 hours of passage we were finally tied up at the dock in harbor for the night. The next day we made the push for Honolulu and had a wonderful day on the water bringing Esteban's boat to her new home port. #boatwork #boatyard #workinghard This week we finally get home from our trip to Portugal. After 8 weeks we go down to the boat yard to find the yard flooded but the boat was I. perfect condition. No leaks or disasters which as great. Time to plan for the next eight weeks, the time we have left to finish the boat as we would like to splash in mid May. That is a very tight schedule with all we still have to do. At least we had a good rest and we are all fresh to start the hard work. Follow our blog with our daily adventures on Facebook . We post our route everyday, showing you the ups and downs of sailing. An amazing adventure documented every single day. Stop there and leave your comment, we reply every single comment! https://www.facebook.com/sailingoceanfox/ Check the photos on Instagram , plus all the journey. We also have the Instagram stories where we register a few seconds of our day all the time. The best place for you to follow us as it is in real time. So much fun. https://instagram.com/sailingoceanfox/ Visit our website where we have our route on the map in real time. It is automatic updated and you can see where we are. You can also choose some official Ocean Fox merch and help to support our journey. https://www.sailingoceanfox.com/ Have a look at the food we eat on board of Ocean Fox. A daily blog of our healthy lifestyle . We eat a Low Carb Mediterranean plant based diet and we just love it. Loads of fresh fish as we catch so much. https://www.facebook.com/healthyonboard/ Please like and share all of that to help us going on this adventure. We are really enjoying this life and sharing everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.
