A fire on board is a disaster. Having a fire on board where you also catch on fire is a worst nightmare. This is exactly what happened to our friends on SV Naida. Dre literally caught on fire and jumped in the ocean to put himself out. Aiyana's quick thinking saved the boat and now they are on the long road to recovery and repair. I SUCCEDED TRYING TO RESCUE MY FISCHER PANDA GENERATOR! Sometimes positive things happens when everything looks totally hopeless. I needed a miracle and Caraibe Marine came up with a very good solution to my major setback! Also time to social events and having lots of fun through this prosess that took much more time than I expected. My Fischer Panda 8000i Generator have been sitting in the basement un used for more than a year due to challenges with parts and also in need of a crazy overhaul. I was not even sure if it was beyond savable. My generator from Fisher Panda has not been used for a year, and the result of being sprayed with salt water after some leaks was not a good sight. What a week, Carla gets her thumb caught in the door, Ouch... that hurts! And Simon cut his finger on the circular saw. So yes, luck wasn't really on our side this week. But we have to keep going as we have a lot of work to be finished in the aft cabin! Things are starting to look much better there as we manage to finish the white walls and start on the Oak panels. The bed is also nearly done. Carla has cleaned the diesel tank which was a very nasty job but looks very good now. Anyway Simon is putting extra filters to play on the safe side. We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

Changing the cockpit portholes was a distant dream. In our cockpit, two round plastic portholes, cracked, stained, and old that leaked all the time, were our reality, and we searched nautical thrift stores but in the dimensions and shape, we needed nothing was ever found. New ones were too expensive so for a long time we believed that the way would be to make do with what we had. But by great luck of fate, we got an offer of what the Alwine II needed at an affordable price, and the result you can check out in this episode. We are Fred and Juh. Though our current spot in San Blas is pretty sweet - We get regular deliveries from veggie boats, where we load up on fresh fruits & veg, booze and chicken at great prices - it's time to check out the infamous 'Hot Tub', an anchorage just 7 miles from our current location. That means we have to navigate some intense coral reefs, some accurately depicted on our charts, some not. Before we can begin the trip we get a surprise visit from the little gecko who has taken up residence in Calico Skies - This time he shows up in our book shelf in the main salon and it's good to know he's still thriving! After making a dough for focaccia and getting our depth sounder (in a wine glass filled with water) situated against the hull, we head out to take advantage of bright sunlight. We face some huge waves on our short passage over to Hot Tub -swell from the Colombian coast - but navigate the coral reefs safely (only using our charts for reference since some of the charted reefs are WAY off). Once we arrive to our new anchorage though, there are more reefs to carefully weave through. A VERY narrow entrance to the Hot Tub makes us a bit nervous. The tops of the reef are visible on both sides of the 20 foot channel so at least sight lines are good. Once anchored in gorgeous Hot Tub Bill works on syphoning water out of our tank since we've low on good drinking water. Our water maker membranes are shot adding to the long list of broken systems on the boat. The next day we discover the underwater promised land here in San Blas. Unbelievable coral - the largest and most vibrant we've ever seen - And lot's of colorful fish. As we dive we share our observations on the sea life here versus other places we've dived such as the Bahamas and Caribbean. Cadzand is a great harbor in the South West area of the Netherlands, called Zeeuws-Vlaanderen. The harbor is surrounded by the dunes and beaches of this seaside village. This video is taken close to sunset and shows the tranquility of the harbor and the beaches.

On ne contrôle pas la météo, ni la mer, ni les délais des formalités de chacun des pays qu’on visite… On est prêt pour naviguer de Carthagène, en Colombie au Panama, mais on doit attendre notre agent qui fait tout en son possible pour obtenir notre papier de sortie de pays. After months of "couch sailing" on YouTube we decided it was time to stop dreaming and dream and start living it. Brit has wanted to sail and own boat for many years but it was always something that didn't seem it could possible for us. Until we stumbled across countless and I mean countless YouTube Channels like, La Vagabonde, Beau & Brandy, Sailing Uma, SV Delos, Parlay Revival, Tula's Endless Summer, Odd Life Crafting, Expedition Evans and the list goes on. We can only hope to inspire one person to chase their dreams as they have inspired us to. After what seemed like a long search for a sailboat we learned about hurricane damaged boats for auction down in the Caribbean. We came across a listing for a 43 Beneteau Oceanis that was currently being auctioned. We put in our bid and got out bid a few times before finally winning in the end. We had a short window to get from California to St. Thomas USVI to secure our purchase. Now the fun begins! It is time to refit this hurricane damaged sailboat make her our own. Thanks for watching! Von Helsingør segelten wir weiter den Øresund nach Süden zu einer kleinen, ehemaligen Festungsinsel vor Kopenhagen: Flakfortet! Heute ist die alte Bunkeranlage teils verfallen, teils zu einer Marina umgebaut. Nachdem Nina schon Spinnenweben samt Bewohnerinnen im Masttop entfernt hatte, gingen wir die alten Bunker auf der Insel erkunden, nur um noch mehr Spinnen in ihrem natürlichen Habitat bewundern zu können!
