I am sailing from Tenerife to Martinique across the Atlantic and am choosing the northern route because at the beginning a calm zone is predicted in the south. This cruise is characterized by strong winds and unstable weather over long stretches. Unfortunately, I don't get through without problems either, in a squall my mainsail gets smashed and I also have a few technical problems. But after 24 days and 2950 nm I arrive safely and happily on Martinique. My trusty boat hook has been a really useful piece of kit to be honest. It helps with mooring up, grabbing things from the water and also helps me reach my jib when down hauling it, so it's had a really busy season and is in need of a bit of repair! I`m not rich and had to find a way to pay for my dream. A video covering the 2022 DF65 (Dragon Force) and DF95 (DragonFlite) Traveller Trophy event held at Lincoln Radio Sailing Club on 1st & 2nd April 2022. This event is part of a series of Model Yacht Racing events for DF65 & DF95 classes held once a month at various locations across the UK during 2022. Lincoln Radio Sailing Club is a very active club and regularly holds major Model Yachting events on the water at Scotland Farm. The DF65s raced on Saturday and DF95s on the Sunday. There was a healthy turnout of 39 DF65s and 52 DF95s on Sunday. The 2022 DF95 TT events will count towards qualification for the Global Regatta at Fleetwood in 2023 so this has boosted turnouts for these events. Radio Sailing (Model yacht racing) is a competitive form of yacht racing run along similar lines to dinghy racing and keelboat racing.
