In this YouTube clip, we showcase our latest equipment for gold mining, including metal detectors, underwater cameras, and side scanning, all used during our scuba dives ranging from 20 to 60 feet. While we didn't find any gold on this trip, we did discover artifacts related to Chinese trading ships and an old plane wreckage using the side scanning. We plan to return with the black gold boat for more surveying and develop relationships with locals to establish mining leases for gold production.

Each week we have been focusing on finding a boat that will do the job and make Sylvia happy to do the trip with me. So, I get a boat…now what? It would take me years to be competent enough or confident enough to actually make that amazing journey on my own, not to mention Sylvia's significant, and not totally unfounded, doubts about my sailing skill and mechanical capabilities to keep us seaworthy for that long an adventure. Then there is the potential isolation…neither Sylvia nor I are into that. So, what to do? Well, that is what we will be examining throughout this mini-series, with episodes sprinkled among our regular reviews. I have compiled a comparison of two 16-month world sailing rallies, two 30-month world sailing rallies and, just for fun, one 10 month round the world cruise done the eeeeasy way. This approach solves many of my concerns. In each case you are with at least 100 like-minded adventurers traveling in the company of 30-35 sailing vessels with much of the guess work and risk taken out of the equation, and multiple parties throughout the adventure, eliminating any thoughts of loneliness. Two of these rallies are even manufacturer supported with specialty support staff traveling with the fleet. Join us during this 13 days and nights passage sailing across the Atlantic Ocean in our sailing catamaran Lagoon 450S in family from Cap Verde islands to Martinique in the French Caribbean. Strong wind and big waves sailing downing toward our destination reaching up to 18 knots surfing down the waves. ___________________________________________________ About us: We are a family of 3, Lithuanian and French couple currently living in Dubai UAE with our daughter born in 2020, with the dream of circumnavigating the globe with a catamaran sailing boat. In 2018 until we decided to focus on our project sailing TELLUS (Latin word meaning “Earth”). We had the chance to visit and live in many beautiful countries with our previous jobs, that made us realize how fast the world is changing and how fast the life is going and there is no “later” than “now” for the project we have in mind. In early 2019 we took a one-week sailing courses that opened our eyes of new ways of travelling and changed our life style. In June 2020, we decided to sell everything we own, house, car and lot of stuff that we do not need anymore so that we can buy a sailboat and go for an undetermined voyage around the globe. We bought a catamaran Lagoon 450s delivered in France in July 2021. We have been sailing from La Rochelle to Gibraltar, then exploring the Mediteraneean in 2022 Spain, France, Italy, Greece. In November 2022 we arrived in Canaries Island then sailed to Cape Verde. On 19 December 2022 we set sail to cross the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Verde to Martinique in the Caribbean. After 13 days and 4 hours. We have reached Martinique and currently sailing in the Caribbean islands. We have sailed over 10000 NM so far with our catamaran Tellus. We decided to create this Sailing-Tellus website with the aim to build a community around sailing videos content creator.
