Join us on an unforgettable journey as we sail around the world with our family, capturing the beauty of diverse landscapes, cultures, and adventures. From exploring historic ports like English Harbour in Antigua to kite surfing in the turquoise waters of Barbuda, each moment is a testament to the joy of travel and exploration. About us: We are a family of 3, Lithuanian and French couple currently living in Dubai UAE with our daughter born in 2020, with the dream of circumnavigating the globe with a catamaran sailing boat. In 2018 until we decided to focus on our project sailing TELLUS (Latin word meaning "Earth"). We had the chance to visit and live in many beautiful countries with our previous jobs, that made us realize how fast the world is changing and how fast the life is going and there is no "later" than "now" for the project we have in mind. In early 2019 we took a one-week sailing courses that opened our eyes of new ways of travelling and changed our life style. In June 2020, we decided to sell everything we own, house, car and lot of stuff that we do not need anymore so that we can buy a sailboat and go for an undetermined voyage around the globe. We bought a catamaran Lagoon 450s delivered in France in July 2021. We have been sailing from La Rochelle to Gibraltar, then exploring the Mediteraneean in 2022 Spain, France, Italy, Greece. In November 2022 we arrived in Canaries Island then sailed to Cape Verde. On 19 December 2022 we set sail to cross the Atlantic Ocean from Cape Verde to Martinique in the Caribbean. After 13 days and 4 hours. We have reached Martinique and currently sailing in the Caribbean islands. We have sailed over 10000 NM so far with our catamaran Tellus. We decided to create this Sailing-Tellus website with the aim to build a community around sailing videos content creator. We invite you to share with us our adventures of learning, exploring and making our project come to life. Through our videos we hope to inspire to explore, seek alternative options of living and to spread ocean awareness. ___________________________________________________ Do you own a Sailing #Youtubechannel ? After sailing across the Atlantic, we decided to unwind and cherish some quality family time on the vibrant island of Martinique in the French Caribbean. We rented a car and embarked on a journey to discover the island's hidden gems. Our first destination was the Balata Garden, a lush sanctuary offering breathtaking views and an array of unique flora. As we wandered through the park, enveloped by vibrant greenery, the air filled with the sweet fragrance of flowers, and the symphony of nature surrounded us, creating memories we'll treasure forever. Eager for more adventures, we ventured to a nearby waterfall. Watching our little one, Adelyna, fearlessly wade into the chilly river brought smiles and laughter to all. These are the moments that make our journey truly unforgettable. As our sails caught the breeze, we charted a course for Marie-Galante, a charming slice of paradise nestled in the French Caribbean Islands, just off the coast of Guadeloupe. This island, known for its sugar cane fields, greeted us with its pristine sandy beaches and endless horizons. Our stay on Marie-Galante was brief, dictated by the whims of the weather. Nonetheless, it was a joy to reunite with our friends: Five Sailing and SummerTime 51, affectionately dubbed "The outremer gang." Our journey continued as we set sail for Saint-Francois in Guadeloupe, a haven for kite surfing enthusiasts with its crystal-clear waters and endless stretches of coastline. The thrill of adventure beckoned as we embraced the boundless possibilities of the sea. If there's one place within Guadeloupe that is a true paradise with a capital P, Ilet du Gosier is it. It's a Robinson Crusoe-style island that has swaying palm trees, small white sand beaches, amazingly clear turquoise and light green water, and Guadeloupe's second oldest lighthouse dating back to 1929. We could not resist to go for a walk and explore the light house. While this video may lack the usual sailing content, we're eager to share this unique chapter of our journey with you. Despite the challenges of capturing every moment on camera, we believe in preserving these memories for the future. So, while we apologize for the deviation from our usual content, we hope you'll join us in savoring this special interlude. ___________________________________________________ About us: We are a family of 3, Lithuanian and French couple currently living in Dubai UAE with our daughter born in 2020, with the dream of circumnavigating the globe with a catamaran sailing boat. For the 1st time ever on a monohull we have met Stefan, the owner of this beautiful Hanse 575 based in Cannes and decided to rent it for 3 days and we loved it. On our last day we had +40knots of wind and crazy waves on our way back to Cannes but sadly we could not record with the GoPro. A great experience with calm wind, medium and crazy weather conditions. Sailing monohull is great and a lot of fun ! ########################################## We are a family of 3, Lithuanian and French couple currently living in Dubai UAE with our daughter born in 2020, with the dream of circumnavigating the globe with a catamaran sailing boat. This model is one of the 3 brands we are interested by. The other models are a Lagoon 46 or a Neel 47. (We finally can publish the full length of this video) as the Fountaine Pajot Elba New 45 was launched officially at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2019. So far we are impressed by the quality of the finishes from Fountaine Pajot. Everything seems to be really well built and put this boat on the #1 spot for now until we make a seal trial with the Neel 47 early september so then we can decide. Meanwhile you can enjoy this video outside - inside tour of this beauty. LIGHT, SPACE, ELEGANT DESIGN Climb aboard the NEW 45 and enter the boldly modern, bright, spacious world of a cruising catamaran signed by Fountaine Pajot. The New 45 boasts energetic lines and inverted bows, accommodating incredible interior living spaces, making her truly astonishing. This elegant new catamaran also has a newly designed helm station to improve handling, promising excellent performance. The New 45 delivers all-embracing harmony, with an abundance of light, an extensive cockpit opening onto an innovative saloon, together with the largest lounge space of her category, and lots of invisible storage. The Owner suite and guest cabins are also bathed in light and offer a quiet, comfortable place in which to relax, with en-suite shower rooms depending on the version. The New 45 by Fountaine Pajot is enhanced with incredibly generous relaxation spaces, on the foredeck, lounge deck, and in the cockpit, not to mention the Beach Club electric platform available on option. ########################################## We are a family of 3, Lithuanian and French couple currently living in Dubai UAE with our daughter born in 2020, with the dream of circumnavigating the globe with a catamaran sailing boat. In 2018 until we decided to focus on our project sailing TELLUS (Latin word meaning "Earth"). We had the chance to visit and live in many beautiful countries including China, Hongkong, Thailand, Romania, Lithuania and France with our previous jobs, that made us realize how fast the world is changing and how fast the life is going and there is no "later" than "now" for the project we have in mind. We invite you to share with us our adventures of learning, exploring and making our project come to life. Through our videos we hope to inspire to explore, seek alternative options of living and to spread ocean awareness. SUBSCRIBE and hit the bell for sailing videos! https://bit.ly/30fOfck We think the best way to test a boat, is to rent it for a week and experience real sailing conditions at the sea. The NEEL 47 is one of the boat we wanted to try. Here is our adventures of 6 days cruising from Saint-Tropez to Cinque Terre in Italy. In 1997 Porto Venere and the villages of Cinque Terre were designated by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site. We leave Saint-Tropez sailing direction Italy in Alassio for the 1st night. Then the second night in Porto Venere where we have a great italian breakfast and then sailing direction Cinque Terre. Visiting the 5 villages including: Riomaggiore, Manarola, Corniglia, Vernazza, Monterosso al Mare. Stunning scenery from the sea while flying the drone. Waking up in Portofino and arriving at night in the bay of Alassio where we put the anchor and have dinner and sleep. The last day for crossing back to Saint-Tropez with strong wind and high waves. The Neel 47 trimaran offer a very smooth and safe ride while cruising at fast speed. So far this is the best sailing experience we ever had. We just wish we could have went longer :) What we like about the NEEL 47 Trimaran ? - Confort of navigation - Great speed in low winds - Easy to maneuver - Feel safe while cruising in strong sea and winds (+35knots and 2+ meters waves) - Great office area for laptops and electronics - Love the main deck owner's cabin - Galley with panoramic view in a must - Easy access and huge garage and technical areas - Beautiful look What we dislike about the NEEL 47 Trimaran ? - Lack of storage - No fresh water outside to wash the boat at sea - Float suites accessible from outside is not for us - Tender 6HP was too small - Some of the accessories mounted on this boat was low quality - No radar installed on this model - Not enough time :) What's next ? We are looking forward to test the NEEL 51 that looks more adapted for our project. ########################################## We are a family of 3, Lithuanian and French couple currently living in Dubai UAE with our daughter born in 2020, with the dream of circumnavigating the globe with a catamaran sailing boat.
