#VeleiroCabana #Veleiro #VidaABordo #Velejar #AventuraNoMar #SailingBrazil #VelejarPeloBrasil #TravessiaDeVeleiro #VeleiroFarofento #Recife #Maceió #Aracaju #SailingVlog #Golfinhos #PorDoSolNoMar Músicas: Song: Woods Music composed and recorded by Oak Studios. We are Eric, Kimberley, and Distin. We are from Alaska. We started our adventures in Alaska on our Nordhavn 55. We sold her and are now beginning our adventures on a new to us Nordhavn 50. In this episode of we cruise into Halifax, Nova Scotia, one of Canada’s most historic and vibrant coastal cities! We start by exploring the northwest arm of Halifax, checking out the viable anchorage spots for cruisers and liveaboards. Then we tie up at what might just be on the most rolly dock we’ve ever been on — seriously, it was wild! 😂 After securing the boat, we head ashore to explore downtown Halifax, do some shopping, and pick up a brand new drone for epic aerial footage. We spend the next couple of days soaking up Halifax’s waterfront attractions, taking a self-guided historical building tour, and (of course) enjoying amazing local food. From drone practice over the harbor to wandering the charming waterfront, this episode is packed with classic boat life adventures in Atlantic Canada. Guest stars: Larry, Beth, Willie, and Pebbles. If you’re dreaming of living on board a Nordhavn or buying a Nordhavn for bluewater cruising, this video offers a firsthand look at the challenges and rewards of long-term boat life. We’ll take you behind the scenes to see how we manage real-life boating situations—from maintenance issues to steering failures—and offer tips for anyone planning to live aboard or buy a Nordhavn. These are our adventures on our Nordhavn. How we live and where we go. Thanks for following along with our adventures!
Before leaving Africa, we wanted to see as much of this incredible continent as possible. What better way to do it than the African way, Overlanding in a Land Rover Defender www.sailingnandji.com Now here we are, hundreds of miles from the coast, surrounded by endless sand, deep in the Namibian desert. But things haven’t exactly been going smoothly. From day one, our Defender’s been giving us headaches, it’s chewing coolant and overheating. We feared the worst: a cracked head gasket and engine rebuild. On advice, we headed to the remote desert town of Keetmanshoop, where we could find a Land Rover mechanic. To our surprise it was not a head gasket, but a cracked radiator. A quick replacement later, and we’re back in business. We had prepared ourselves to be stuck here for days, maybe even weeks… but now, with a brand-new radiator and fresh energy, it’s time to pack up, hit the open road, and keep this African adventure rolling. What has become the second leg for the Class 40 fleet started at 1300 hours local time on Saturday. The teams had taken an enforced break from racing in Spain after the organisers decided the conditions were set to be too rough for the smaller boats. This has split their race into two parts, where the cumulative time from both races decides the overall winner. After leaving the docks in La Coruña, the teams set off upwind in a brisk breeze on port tack, to exit the Bay of Biscay and start their Atlantic crossing towards the finish line in Martinique. Enjoy the footage of the departure, then we take a look at the trackers to see how the race is unfolding in the Ultim, Ocean50, IMOCA and Class 40 fleets. It was a week ago that we woke up to the dramatic news that three of the Ocean50 trimarans had capsized in the 12 hours after their start. They’d set off last Saturday, a day earlier than the other three fleets, trying to avoid the worst of the conditions. We’ve received incredible footage of the Lazare crew rescue, and also some video of Koesio being lifted off the beach in Guernsey, then righted with cranes, to be taken back to their home ports to assess the damage and make repairs. We finish today's update with an update from Francesca Clapcich and Will Harris on the IMOCA 11th Hour Racing. Thumbnail photo (c) Yann Riou / polaRYSE #sailing #ultim #imoca #class40 #ocean50

Welcome back aboard Moor R & R! Episode 13. This week we’re off exploring Shaw Island and Thomas Island, and what an adventure it turned out to be! We took the tender out to Maya Cave, an incredible natural formation — definitely one of those wow moments. The best time to visit is around mid to high tide, when you can glide right in and really take in its beauty. Next, we explored the creek system near Saba Bay and walked across to the other side of Shaw Island — such a peaceful and scenic spot. As the winds picked up, we moved around to Burning Point for a bit of shelter before heading over to Thomas Island. Thomas absolutely blew us away — from hiking the rock on Little Tom Island to walking across the main island and looking out over those crystal-clear blue waters, every moment was breathtaking. And to top it all off, we stopped at the beautiful Naked Lady Beach on our way home — the perfect ending to another amazing week in the Whitsundays. 🌴💙 Come along for the highs and lows of life at sea – the joy of community, the challenge of sailing, and all the fun we get up too !!! We battled 36kn winds, torrential rain and big seas on our way to Cairns – one of our toughest passages yet aboard ARGO! We left Kent Island and headed for Mourilyan Harbour to ride out some serious weather – and big it was, with gusts up to nearly 70km/hr even inside the harbour! Outside must’ve been wild, so we were grateful for the protection. With torrential rain and grey skies for days, we finally spotted a break in the weather and made a dash north towards Cairns. The sea had other plans though – the waves had us feeling more like we were in a washing machine than the ocean! After a rough ride, we dropped anchor in the calm, protected waters of Fitzroy Island, where we visited their Turtle Rehabilitation Centre before continuing on to Yorkeys Knob to collect friends for a few days together. It’s a huge milestone to have made it to Cairns, something we honestly weren’t sure we’d achieve this season! Thanks for watching. In this episode we travel to a new corner we haven't been before; the picturesque Kotor. A UNESCO World Heritage Site and must stop in Montenegro is this 2,000+ year old town, set up the steep hillside. We were lucky enough to drop anchor on a day when there weren't any cruise ships in town. We head in for a wander around the old town and enjoy it's charm. Even the view from anchorage of an evening was something special. Want early access to our videos? We keep multiple boat hooks onboard “Moments in Time”. We have an extending hook in the forward locker, a special line threading hook forward as well, mostly for catching mooring balls. However, the boat hook located in the stern barely reaches the waterline. This is the hook that will most likely be used in emergencies as it is the most accessible from the cockpit. I decided to replace 6-foot hook with a 14-foot floating telescoping boat hook, This will extend the reach quite a bit and increases the safety factor if something needs to be retrieved from the water. Feel free to comment and let us know your thoughts. Subscribe and share the adventure! Become part of the conversation by liking https://www.facebook.com/SV.MomentsInTime/
I’ve practiced man-overboard at night—it’s terrifying. You vanish in seconds: no horizon, cold shock, and engines drown your voice. Buy a Ticket here 👉🏻 https://svtriteia.bigcartel.com/product/going-cruising-a-zoom-class-on-making-the-dream-a-reality Sunday, November 9th @ 4pm Pacific Time This 2+ hour class will demystify the process of leaving land life behind, either short term or forever, and help you understand what steps you need to take to go from dreaming about seeing the world by sail to actually making it your life. The class will consist of three main sections, followed by an open ended Q&A. 1. Untying the Lines – This section will cover what it takes to conquer the hardest step in the cruising life, leaving land life behind. I will talk about what you should look for in a boat (as well as what you shouldn't). We will also discuss short and long term considerations in regards to the cruising life. 2. Going Cruising – Next, we will talk about the first year of cruising, how to pick your cruising ground, how the seasons and bureaucracy decide how long you can stay in one place, how you might fund the life, and what you can expect in the first few years. I will talk about clearing into and out of countries, how to get money, interacting with officials and the public and saying YES to new adventures. 3. The Long Wake – Finally, we will look further into the future and I will talk about things I have learned after 4 years of full-time cruising and living aboard. From pushing 6,000 miles in a single year to gear failures, I'll share what I've learned about the stress of cruising in remote places, battling burnout, and how to mitigate it. I will talk about setting up realistic goals for a single sailing season as well as setting up Plans A, B, and C, so if things happen that are beyond your control you will already have a basic backup plan in place. The last portion of the class will be an open-ended Q&A where everyone will have a chance to ask questions, and we can discuss the subjects we covered. We can also dive-deep into the details of any questions you might have that I did not address. This class will be formatted the same way my Anchoring Zoom Class was formatted back in 2024, complete with slides and videos during each segment and a downloadable PDF packed with information from the class and links to make planning your cruising life easier. Each participant will also receive a link a few days after the class that allows them to rewatch the recording of the class as many times as they wish. I will be conducting this Going Cruising Class from onboard Triteia in Malaysia, but the timing will align with Sunday afternoon/evening in the USA, since 50% of my followers are Americans. After dressing No Regrets II with every flag we own, the Jambatan Angkat drawbridge in Kuala Terengganu is opened especially for the Sail Malaysia Rally to enter the marina — a truly spectacular sight! 🚤🎉 With traffic stopped and locals lining the bridge, we felt like royalty sailing through, waving to the crowd as we passed beneath. A quick drone flight captured the amazing views of the drawbridge, marina, and city from above — what a welcome! During our stay in Terengganu, we explored Chinatown, wandered through quiet night markets, and joined the rally for a cultural tour that included: 🌀 Visiting the local markets 🎨 Watching traditional batik dyeing at the NACC Batik Pavilion 🏛️ A tour of the Kuala Terengganu Museum, complete with a welcome lunch, local dance performances, and craft demonstrations Before clearing out of Malaysia at the Sultan Mahmud International Airport, we tackled one last challenge — refuelling No Regrets II by jerry cans from the dock. Always an adventure! 😅 Another unforgettable stop on our Sail Malaysia journey — filled with culture, colour, and an incredible welcome from the people of Terengganu. ❤️⚓ Timestamps if you like to Jump Right In: 00:00 Intro 00:31 Dressing No Regrets II with every flag 01:17 Drone shots 02:53 Bridge Opening 03:57 China Town & Night Markets 06:09 Rally Tour of Terengganu 13:02 Refuelling No Regrets II 15:23 Check out of Malaysia WHO ARE WE? Hey there! We’re Chris and Jo, an ordinary Aussie couple living our extraordinary dream aboard our Seawind 1260 since January 2019 and now we continue from 2024 aboard our new 1370! Our adventure began with an unforgettable journey down the east coast of Australia, followed by a sail to the stunning New Caledonia. In 2020, we continued our exploration further north, and by 2021 and 2022, we circumnavigated Australia, discovering breathtaking locations along the way. Having previously owned fishing and water-skiing boats, our passion for sailing deepened after crewing in South Australia, leading us to make the leap into full-time living at sea. We hope to inspire you, just as we were inspired by other YouTube channels, to chase your dreams and explore the wonders of this beautiful world. Join us on our journey, and don’t forget to like, comment, and subscribe for more sailing adventures! #seawind1370 #seawindcats #sailing #sailingboat #sailingyacht #yacht #yachting #yachtinglifestyle #cruisinglife #boatlaunch
