On board, you’ll feel right at home The feedback is unanimous: the Lagoon 38 has got it all. Step aboard 🎥 #LagoonCatamarans #Lagoon38 #YourDreamDestination _______________________________________________________ CATAMARAN INNOVATORS SINCE 1984 Lagoon was formed in pursuit of connection – with ourselves, our loved ones and the world around us. By bringing the human experience to the 7 seas, we’ve been able to unleash an unbridled sense of curiosity and instinctual need for quality since 1984. Something we wouldn’t have accomplished without a collective passion for spectacular destinations and even better journeys getting there. As confirmed sailors, we all know that our boats have to be fast, comfortable and safe: seaworthy. We build them based on our love of the sea and the constant aim of good-quality work. We design them as if we were the future owners. As shipbuilders and sailors, it is part of our logic. The time has come for us to leave Brazil after spending a month here! It is definitely a place we could have spent more time in and a place we would like to visit again. In late August 2020, we set sail from Sweden on our first big adventure – a year-long journey to the Caribbean and back. Fast forward to October 2023, we took the plunge again and bought a Wasa 530, a sailboat that had been sitting idle for over 15 years. She was in need of some serious TLC, and we started the mission of transforming her into the ultimate blue water cruiser! On our channel, you’ll follow every step of this exciting journey – from boat renovations to sailing adventures. Moored in the harbor of Luperón, we are finally tackling the lingering effects of a lightning strike on our Isotherm freezer. Between technical repairs and trying to restore our weathered dodger, we manage to find some time for a different kind of horsepower on the beach. In this episode of Sailing Dark Angel, we’re moored in Luperón. We tear into our lightning damaged Isotherm freezer to replace the controller and cooling fan before I head out for some horseback riding on the beach. I also try to bring some life back to our cloudy dodger, and Dave installs yet another new seat cushion on our Highfield RIB. 75 HARD Day 13: Back on Track & Building Discipline Day 13 of 75 Hard and things are starting to lock in. After getting back on track yesterday, today was all about staying consistent and adapting to the conditions. With unsettled weather here in the Aegean, I made sure to get my outdoor workout done early — a solid 13.5km bike ride before the rain set in. Yesterday’s 15km ride and Bullworker session set the tone, and now it’s about building momentum day by day. I’ve also started incorporating the Bullworker Iso-Bow into my routine — a simple but powerful bit of kit that’s perfect for boat life and travel. No excuses, no space needed, just pure muscle tension and control. On the mindset side, I’ve been reading Atomic Habits, which ties in perfectly with this challenge — focusing on small daily improvements that compound into massive results over time. This challenge isn’t about motivation… it’s about discipline. Follow along as I document the full 75 Hard journey while living aboard our boat in the Aegean. 💪 75 HARD RULES 2 workouts per day (1 must be outdoors) Follow a strict diet (no cheat meals) No alcohol Drink 1 gallon of water Read 10 pages of a non-fiction book Take a daily progress photo 🌊 LIVING THE 75 HARD LIFE AT SEA We’re Carl & Jenny, full-time liveaboard sailors sharing real life, challenges, and adventures from our boat Dream. 👉 Follow the Journey 🎥 Subscribe for daily updates 🎙 Podcast version available 💙 Support us on Patreon for exclusive content ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Get Tubebuddy for great stats for your YouTube Channel http://bit.ly/2eHmFPK

Time is running out, and there’s still a mountain of work to do before we can set sail! In this episode, we test our brand new Seldon mainsail cars, give the mainsail a much-needed deep clean, and then dive into the big installation of our new Lookout AI camera system. Richard spends over two hours at the top of the mast pulling new cables for the camera and upgrading the VHF system — and of course, not everything goes to plan! Meanwhile, Jude is back at the sewing machine as we finally solve the tricky boom tent project with a clever fix that makes it all come together. Boat life, technical upgrades, problem-solving, and pre-departure prep — the real side of sailing life on Helios! After waiting over 3 years for our dream expedition catamaran… everything has come to a halt. Our custom-built Portofino 52 aluminium expedition catamaran—designed from scratch for our future life at sea—is now stuck in Dubai due to ongoing conflict and global shipping disruptions. We’ve already lost two sailing seasons… and now we’re being told it could be another 6+ months before we even see the boat. At this point, we’re facing a decision we never thought we’d have to make: 👉 Do we keep waiting? 👉 Do we patch together short-term sailing? 👉 Or do we take a huge financial risk… and buy another boat? This isn’t just emotional—it’s a life-changing financial and lifestyle decision. We could: • Lose even more precious time waiting • Sacrifice the liveaboard lifestyle we love • Or risk owning TWO boats if things suddenly change And the truth is… no one knows how this situation will unfold. So now we’re asking YOU: 💬 What would you do in our position? • Wait it out? • Find temporary sailing options? • Or go all-in and buy another boat? Your advice could genuinely shape what we do next. 👇 Comment below: WAIT / TEMP / BUY 👇 —

Toni and I hadn’t planned on making it to the Annapolis Spring Sailboat Show this year, but with the logistics of getting back to Charleston and "Moments in Time", we found ourselves with a free day and decided to go. With the City Dock upgrades underway, the show felt noticeably smaller than in years past, but still worth the stop. We enjoyed a relaxed breakfast, caught up with friends, wandered through a few boats, lingered over lunch, and let ourselves get swept up in the boat show energy. Sometimes you have to become part of the vibe. Subscribe and share in our adventure! Looping 45 performance cruising catamaran — full walkthrough tour. A true bluewater sailing catamaran designed for long-distance sailing and real life on board. Currently located in Panama (Atlantic side). This film is a full walk-through of Umadum — showing how the boat is laid out, how she works in everyday life, and how she feels to live on board. From cockpit and deck to saloon and hulls, this is not just a visual tour, but a look at a boat that has actually been lived on and sailed offshore for years. You’ll see: • cockpit layout and helm design • protected steering position • saloon visibility and airflow • galley and storage • cabins and practical use of space • real-life details shaped by long-term cruising • deck This is a performance cruising catamaran — designed not only to sail well, but to work as a home while living at sea. ⚠️ Note: Some exterior footage shows the boat without sails — they are currently removed, cleaned, and stored to protect them during the rainy season. Unlike fiberglass, carbon fiber stays black whether wet or dry, hiding resin penetration. This lack of visual cue makes wet layups tricky, risking weak, void-filled laminations. Pre Preg/Wet Preg offers a clear solution. #CarbonFiber #CompositeMaterials #LayupTips #PrePreg

Algumas coisas não acontecem na força. Elas exigem temperatura, umidade, pressão e, sobretudo, tempo. Nesta reflexão, a ideia é olhar para as sutilezas da vida e entender por que certas oportunidades só se abrem quando as condições estão certas. #reflexão #vida #tempo #mar #cultura

Seeker is an extraordinary Selene ocean trawler that has enjoyed the benefits of proper attention and care. She is in like-new condition and compares very favorably with a new build (which would take over one year to complete). Seeker is hull number 115 in this popular Selene design series. Pricing, detailed specifications and photos are available on https://www.JMYS.com Inspections are by appointment only. This video was filmed in the Bahamas in March of 2026. Seeker is a late model, Selene 56 in like-new condition currently enjoying time in the Bahamas. This Selene 56 is the “deep hull” configuration with more headroom in the engine room and the cruisers stern aft which provides a bit more waterline underway and is softens floating at anchor. Her arrangement summary is: three staterooms, two heads, single engine, double walking side decks. She was originally based in the Pacific northwest and became an amazing auction opportunity that her second owners couldn’t pass up. They upgraded and outfitted in Washington and after a summer enjoying Alaska cruising, they embarked on a great adventure, sailing her around to the US east coast through the Panama Canal. During their stewardship many notable improvements have taken place, two that top the list are the addition of air conditioning and painting the hull. The hull was painted in Stuart, FL in late 2023. Seekers owners have done a masterful job of keeping her clean, fresh and ready to cruise. She has proven to be an excellent vessel for this active owner operator couple. They have enjoyed operating her as a couple and also traveling with friends and family. Her generous size and clever layout provide spacious accommodations comparable to the Selene 60 and she has enjoyed long, comfortable passages with plenty of space for entertaining and cruising with guests. Guests will appreciate the private staterooms (a VIP and double bunk) that share a head and shower. You have a secure path on deck with symmetrical double walking side decks hemmed with tall bulwarks that connect the cockpit and the foredeck via the Portuguese bridge. The flybridge is capped with the much-desired fiberglass hard top and this area with two helm chairs and a settee with table is a great place to enjoy cruising, at rest and underway. Powered by a 410 HP single engine Cummins QSL9410MDI. This provides an economical cruising speed of 7.8 knots which can provide a range of approximately 2,800 miles. The deep-keel model creates a taller engine room adding convenience to access for maintenance and service. For comfort underway her Keypower hydraulic active fin stabilizers help her track on an even keel. When docking, you have the convenience of electric bow and stern thrusters. For anchoring out, she has a Maxwell horizontal windlass on the bow with two large anchors ready to be deployed. The interior of Seeker is a stunning example of Jet-Tern Marine old world craftsmanship. Her light teak woodwork is warm and soothing. The owners have added artwork and personal items to make her their home afloat (artwork and decorations do not convey with the purchase). Most Selene owners are “owner operators” who enjoy the reliability of this design and savor time aboard, planning, traveling and resting at anchor. For additional information visit: https://www.Selene56.com to learn more about this great design and review previous Selene 56’s that JMYS has marketed. There is a sister ship (called Spyhop II) Selene 56 video that Jeff Merrill filmed. These remain online published on our YouTube channel for those doing their research. Be sure to keep an eye out for what might pop up next on https://www.Selene56forsale.com and we invite you to join our email list to get new listing notifications. This video can only share enough to intrigue you. To fully appreciate Seeker you need to get aboard. Please contact listing broker, Jeff Merrill, CPYB if you would like to discuss Seeker in more detail and to make an appointment to see her for yourself. Give it a thumbs up if you liked this episode! A mystery girl from Chile, a “selfless” island taxi mission, tiny bikinis, spearfishing, and rumours of a crocodile in the shallows… just another perfectly normal episode of Sailing into Freedom. 😄⛵🐊🐟 In this episode, we finally meet Catalina, the Chilean sailor who needed a lift to a remote island before catching her shuttle to the airport. Naturally, I stepped in as the generous gentleman that I am. What follows is three days of tropical chaos: crystal-clear water, deserted sandbanks, snorkelling, island exploring, bikini modelling, cartwheel contests, and spearfishing in croc country where I’m trying to decide whether “big croc” is really something to worry about. If you enjoy sailing adventures, tropical islands, spearfishing, liveaboard chaos, and the slightly unhinged reality of helping strangers at sea, this one’s for you. #sailing #sailingintofreedom #sailingvlog #boatlife #spearfishing #islandlife #liveaboard #cruisinglife #tropicalisland Get your Sailing Into Freedom Crew T-shirt: https://teespring.com/stores/sailing-into-freedom Want more? Mercan Petra SF39 | Full Walkthrough | The Marine Channel In this video, we take a closer look at the Mercan Petra SF39, a versatile and robust RIB designed to combine performance, practicality, and comfort in a highly capable all-round platform. We begin on deck, where the layout is centred around sport fishing, and also practical comfort. The wide beam, deep freeboards, and secure walkaround design make moving around the boat feel easy and safe, while generous seating areas and sunpads create a relaxed, social environment. Inside, the boat offers a compact but practical cabin space, giving it the versatility for occasional overnight stays with its dual cabins, or extended days on the water—adding an extra layer of usability to what is primarily a performance-driven platform. What happens when your watermaker breaks down in the middle of remote Indonesia 10 hours by boat from the mainland? In this episode of The Reeva Project, we face one of the biggest challenges of full-time liveaboard sailing: surviving without fresh water, completely off-grid. With our watermaker out of service, we turn to local solutions — sourcing 300 litres of drinking water in jerry cans from a small island restaurant, just enough to last us a few weeks. It's not glamorous. But that's real boat life. But this remote island is far more than just a stopover. While we wait for our friends sailing in from Singapore, we slow down and explore what off-grid island living actually looks like — floating ATMs, bamboo stilt homes, a local hospital, a community power station, and a century-old mosque that survived World War II bombings. This is sustainable, simple living in its truest form. We also tackle some serious sailboat maintenance and boat projects — working alongside local craftsmen to fabricate custom parts and upgrade our anchoring system. It's a reminder that the best skills, craftsmanship, and human connection are often found in the smallest, most remote places on earth. With repairs done and systems back online, we set sail again — this time with another boat as company. Because when you're a sailing family living on a 42-foot sailboat, the journey never really stops. 🌊 We're Kaeya, Vaidehi & Gaurav ~ An Indian sailing family living full-time aboard SV Reeva, exploring the world one island at a time. From bluewater cruising and offshore sailing to family travel, boat repairs, and slow living this is our life, unfiltered and as real as it can get 🔔 Subscribe for weekly episodes on sailing in Southeast Asia, liveaboard life, and raising a family at sea. 👉 Follow our journey: 📸 Instagram: @thereevaproject 📘 Facebook: The Reeva Project Music : Epidemic Sound

Day 2 of Antigua Sailing Week 2026: Nonsuch Bay to Little Jumby Bay rocked with north swell, Atlantic breezes (8-15 knots), and tight racing—Kali topped CSA 1 with spinnaker mastery, Contigo rode currents to win CSA 2 over Vildiur. Rally fleets crushed the Treasure Hunt (turtles spotted, English Harbour Rum hats grabbed), Impala stole the beach relay at The Hut (lime-spoon, swims, dinghy dashes), then DJ York + Heineken sunset party lit up the vibes. Big thanks to Antigua Barbuda Ministry of Tourism, Heineken (official beer), Sea Hawk Paints, Harpers, APUA iNet, National Parks Antigua, and Calvin Air—Race, Chase, Celebrate rolls to Ffryes tomorrow!

We thought siding would be straightforward… but this day turned into one problem after another. Between running out of materials, fixing missed waterproofing details, working off pump jacks for the first time, and dealing with tricky installs around windows, HVAC line sets, and trim—this was one of those days where nothing is hard individually… but everything adds up. We’re continuing siding on our small home in the mountains of North Carolina, trying to keep up with a professional crew while learning in real time. From installing window trim and soffits, to laying out a frieze board, snapping lines, and dialing in board-and-batten alignment—this is what the process actually looks like when you're figuring it out as you go. Not every day is huge progress… but every day matters if we want to finish this house. Let’s get to work. Huge thanks to the crew who helped make this happen — links to everyone involved below. In this episode, we’re up before dawn, ready to depart for Fakarava—until the port engine refuses to start. After changing the filters, we cautiously make our way toward the pass, but trouble follows us: the port engine dies completely, and the starboard engine won’t rev past 1800 RPMs. We’re baffled and deeply disappointed. Forced to drop anchor, we spend the entire day troubleshooting a cascade of mechanical issues. By nightfall, we think we’ve solved them, and at first light the next morning, we set off once again for Fakarava. Everything seems fine—until we’re in the middle of the pass and the port engine dies… again. Do we push on? Do we turn back? What’s the wisest and safest decision? We are Eileen and Brown Councill. Welcome to our channel and a glimpse into our life adventure! 2020 was a year of uncertainty and change (for all of us, right?), but we overcame the challenges and decided it was time to chase our dream, to sail around the world! Did I mention that we had very NO sailing experience? Before leaving Qingdao, China, our home of 4 years, we sold almost all of our earthly possessions and started our international search to find the right sailboat that we would call "home." After 5 months of unanticipated twists and turns, we found what we were looking for, a used Leopard 44' Catamaran located in St. Lucia. So, here begins our journey, filled with unmatched excitement and honestly, a bit of trepidation as well. Unboxing all ordered parts for my Yanmar engine. There were a lot: turbocharger, air intake, starter motor, gaskets and seals, hoses, engine feet, screws, filters, and more. My DIY engine project comes to an end and this reborn engine will soon have its test run before it will be re-installed into my Jeanneau Sun Magic 44.
