This is part two of our road trip exploring inland Turkey and its many world heritage sights. On this episode we visit Cappadocia, one of the most unusually beautiful places we have traveled to in the world! Cappadocia is known for its distinctive “fairy chimneys,” tall, cone-shaped rock formations clustered in Monks Valley, Göreme and elsewhere. Other notables sites include Bronze Age homes carved into valley walls by troglodytes (cave dwellers) and later used as refuges by early Christians. We know a lot of people who have avoided Turkey because of its current political situation but we have found it to be a completely safe and hospitable place, in fact we really feel for the many, many family run businesses that are suffering from the lack of visitors now. Turkey is not only stunning it is also amazingly affordable - come see what our road trip was like and maybe you will want to visit too! We are the Robbins family sailing on our boat named Nikau. We are a family of 5. Our 3 kids are doing NZ correspondence school on board. They are growing to love it! What's not to love about 3 hours of school a day and then a different playground for the afternoon every day! We get 24 hours in Galapagos! Sarah makes a bit of a cruising permit error... So we find ourselves up a creek, so to speak. Luckily our every handy “broken watermaker” comes to the table and we manage to score a 24 hour window to re-provision before we depart for Pacific. We jam-pack this 24 hours and leave with a huge satisfaction that we got to experience an entire chunk of Galapagos nature and culture before we are forced to depart. Lesson learned comrades. This video is Sailing Diana continuing voyage to Rödhamn, Åland. Vist to Åland is getting better and better and Mariehamn is getting close. Rödhamn is propably the cleaniest and tidyest harbor we have crossed. Outhouses was exceptional. It is always nice to tumble on places like this when travelling. The SEVENTY 8, the new flagship, is making her grand entrance at Lagoon. This yacht, over 24 metres in length, designed by the great names of naval architecture, VPLP, Patrick Le Quément and Nauta Design, thus signals entrance into a Motor Yacht world in which luxury and comfort are the watchwords. Her silhouette, with timeless elegance, and the harmonious lines of her coachroof go hand in hand with large volumes to create a universe free of compromise, in which space is true luxury.

Launching at the Southampton Boat Show 2018, the new C63 is Spirit Yachts' first yawl rig. The deckhouse design incorporates a raised coachroof, which provides protection from the elements. Panel windows incorporated into all sides of the coachroof facilitate near 360-degree views of the horizon from the chart table. Accommodation is for six guests across a master forward cabin with ensuite, double cabin and a Pullman cabin, both of which share a head with a rain shower. Designed for racing as well as cruising, the C63 has carbon spars, nitronic rod rigging and a OneSails sail wardrobe (comprising a fully battened mainsail and mizzen, a 105% jib and a custom electric furling asymmetric).

2010 BP Oil Spill , collision in Perdito Pass, Recently obtained footage of the Tug Megan Dupre a 2000 hp tug pushing 3 loaded barges collided with Our Towboat and we have it all on video. The owner of this company took us off hire and damaged our boat, they have never paid us for lost revenue or the damages they caused. Family owned & operated ! Dupre Marine. Speaks volumes about the owner!

The 2018 Melbourne to Blairgowrie Passage Race is part of the ORCV 2018 Winter Series. At this stage the weather outlook for the weekend is touch and go if the race will proceed as scheduled this Saturday 7 July, 2018. A further update will be provided tomorrow.
