Assisted Sail Trim The Auto-Tacking base package adjusts the headsail for the new tack while you steer through the maneuver. The Auto Trim is the perfect complement to Auto Tacking. Set the initial trim, press the button to engage Auto Trim, and the system monitors apparent wind for perfect sail trim. An integrated heel control detects gusts and limits heel to your desired setting for passenger comfort. The Sail Management package, which will debut in coming seasons, can hoist and douse the main or genoa. Load sensors detect jams and allow the halyard to be eased for safe operation.

The chart table and nav station will later occupy the space this outdated Ice Box originally lived in. I make this project videos slow so that for anyone who would like a better look at this sort of project for their own boat can know what to expect. Auf dem Segelboot durch den Panama Kanal. Ein technisches Erlebnis in einem technischen Meisterwerk! Wir, Joachim und Sabine, die Crew der Atanga, wir sind am 01. Juni 2014 in Hamburg gestartet. 2015: Kanarischen Inseln 2016: Kapverdische Inseln, im Februar 2016 unsere Atlantik-Überquerung nach Französisch Guyana. Dann kleine Antillen und noch einmal die Guyanas und Suriname mit der Nereid’s Rally. 2017: ABC-Inseln (nur BC), Mexiko und Belize. In Mexiko haben wir eine dreiwöchige Rundreise im Landesinneren unternommen. Im Anschluss kamen Providencia und Kolumbien Festland (ebenfalls mit einer dreiwöchigen Rundreise) und die San Blas Inseln in Panama. 2018: Wir wurden im Januar in Panama vom Blitz getroffen. Die Reparatur dauerte drei Monate. Nach der Passage durch den Panama Kanal haben wir den Rest des Jahres in Ecuador verbracht und fünf Wochen das Landesinnere erkundet. 2019: Osterinsel, Gambier, Tuamotu und Gesellschaftsinseln. 2020: Die Corona-Krise hat uns in Gambier (Franz. Polynesien) erwischt. Wir werden sehen, wohin der Wind uns treibt und wie weit wir kommen.

This morning Randall had a fun idea to use the main halyard as a rope swing while anchored at Great Guana Cay in The Bahamas. It took a couple of tries to get the feel for it and it didn't quite work out like he was hoping it would, but it sure was fun!! After one last jump in the "pool" we pulled the anchor and headed back North toward Cambridge Cay, where we knew there would be good protection as the wind picked up and changed direction later on. The sailing today was great. There wasn't a whole lot of wind and we ended up motor sailing for a little while, but the water was extremely calm and relaxing. Randall of course was needing some adventure in his day, so he decided to tie a rope off the back of the boat so he could get into the water. He had a great time diving off the side of the boat and then grabbing onto the rope as the boat sailed past. haha Later on in the day Randall exclaimed that he was feeling like a creature of 1975 and that he needed to cut his hair. I guess now is as good of a time as any. He has been cutting his own hair for several years now, but never while motor sailing. Considering being in the wind, the rocking motion of the boat and trying to do it one handed while holding a handheld mirror, I think he did a pretty good job! We arrived at Cambridge Cay and were able to drop anchor in just about the exact same spot as the last time we were here. This anchorage has protection on all sides and will be a great spot for us to stay as we wait out the upcoming high winds that are expected to change directions in the next couple of days. We are also looking forward to going back to the Rocky Dundas Caves and exploring them more! We also want to thank everyone who has helped support our videos via Patreon and Paypal. Episode 30 Its finally Christmas on our channel!! Can't believe we're so behind, soz! In this weeks episode we head to Tobago Cays to meet our Ozzy friends from Aquafrolic so we can all spend Christmas Day together. Christmas morning we gave our families the exciting news that we are expecting a baby! It was a very emotional day for me (Hayley) being away from home and family. As much as I was grateful to be waking up in paradise, I really struggled not being with loved ones, this was my first Christmas away from my family ever so made it even harder being 7,000 miles away. We had a fabulous day but it just wasn’t the same as being at home. Thanks to all the Bartel and Finamore family for making us welcome. x After Christmas Day lunch on the beach with lots of fresh lobster we went back to the boat for an evening swim and to Dave's joy he got the best Christmas present ever, swimming with 20+ sting rays under the boat for hours. So that's why he wanted those underwater lights. After a few days relaxing at anchor off Baradal Island, we decided to move and find better shelter as the wind showed no signs of reducing. We sailed South to Palm Island for lunch and then North to Mayreau and Salt Whistle Bay as we'd heard this was a good anchorage. We got hit by another wonderful tropical storm but this time we weren't so prepared… We hope you guys enjoy following our adventure as much as we enjoy documenting it so please leave us a comment below. We have a spirited sail to Staniel Cay. A great first day brought us within 11 miles of the island, but we ran into some bad weather the next day and were forced to tack and beat for the rest of the ride. It wasn't very comfortable, but we make it! We run into another speed bump when our dinghy motor breaks down on our way to see the swimming pigs. Herby does what Herby does best and fixes it in time for us to see the silly inhabitants of Big Majors.
