Check out the Spirit P40 cruising the Italian coastline in her home waters of Liguria. Timeless elegance meets powered performance and contemporary styling to create an exceptional and versatile yacht designed to bring joy on the water. As a day boat for lunch and a swim on anchor or for short overnight stays whilst exploring new bays, the P40 is simple to operate and aesthetically beautiful with her classic lines and clean, sophisticated interior. Now in her third iteration, the P40 showcases the longevity of a Spirit design and build. Originally launched in 2015 as an open tender, the P40 transitioned to a fully enclosed boat for the UK climate. Explore the Spirit C52 sailing yacht as she cruises the beautiful Ligurian coast in Italy. Designed for cruising with family and friends in the Mediterranean, the Spirit C52 is simple to sail yet timelessly elegant in her aesthetic. Her classic exterior lines marry with a more contemporary interior, showcasing the design possibilities with a modern classic Spirit yacht. Handcrafted in responsibly sourced timber, the brief for the C52 was to be mindful of her environmental impact. As such, she has an electric drive system, which regenerates the batteries via the propellor whilst under sail. Her solar panels (colour-matched to her hull) provide additional battery charge. Designed for coastal cruising and competitive racing, the Spirit R30 sailing yacht has the style and beauty of the larger Spirits, with the fun-factor of a fast and easy to handle day sailor. The 9.15m Spirit R30 is fully electric and is the first Spirit hull to have flax lay-up and bio resin incorporated into her build. The Spirit R30 was constructed from responsibly sourced, FSC*-certified sapele ringframes and Douglas fir planking. The hull was then made water-tight using flax material, which was laid on the timber and sealed using PRO-SET bio resin. The fully electric Spirit R30 has a Torqeedo Cruise 4.0 FP electric drive system powered by lithium ion batteries and a Torqeedo 650W battery charger, giving a range of circa 16nm at 5 knots. Increased range can be gained with optional additional battery capacity if preferred. The batteries are recharged by shore power or via solar panels that mount over the cockpit cover. At 9.15m long with a light displacement of 1.7 tonnes, the Spirit R30 has options for a fixed or lifting keel and rudder. The yacht can also easily be transported on a road trailer adding to the versatility of this simple yet classically beautiful design. There is a second version of the Spirit R30 design, which incorporates basic living space for an overnight stay. Contact enquiries@spirityachts.com. Find out more: https://spirityachts.com/spirit-30/
Spirit Yachts has announced a partnership with EON Productions, Metro Goldwyn Mayer Studios (MGM) and Universal Pictures International. The partnership sees a Spirit 46 sailing yacht feature in the upcoming film No Time To Die in UK cinemas from 30th September and in the U.S. from 8th October 2021. Suffolk-based Spirit Yachts’ partnership with the James Bond films began when a Spirit 54 yacht was chosen to feature in the 2006 film Casino Royale, in which James Bond and Vesper Lynd can be seen cruising into Venice onboard a Spirit 54. Spirit Yachts CEO and Head of Design Sean McMillan commented, “The James Bond films are a mainstay of British culture and we are honoured to be continuing our partnership with such an iconic brand.” In the forthcoming film, Bond has left active service and is enjoying a tranquil life in Jamaica, where a Spirit 46 sailing yacht is featured. Sean McMillan continued, “The Spirit 46 is one of the original Spirit Yachts designs and is an example of the level of craftsmanship and attention to detail that goes into every Spirit yacht. I think the yacht suits the Bond character very well because of the combination of beauty and practicality.” A true modern classic yacht, the Spirit 46 showcases long overhangs, flush decks and an elegant profile. A day sailing yacht capable of up to 18knots sailing speed, the Spirit 46 looks beautiful on the water and has the sailing performance of a regatta racing yacht. Inspired by the classic, elegant sailing yachts from the 1930s, all Spirit yachts are custom-designed and built to order by a team of world-class craftsmen and women in Spirit’s waterside headquarters in Suffolk on the east coast of the UK. Whilst Spirit Yachts has a portfolio of existing designs from day sailors to superyachts, each yacht is tailored to suit an owner’s criteria meaning every Spirit yacht is completely unique. www.spirityachts.com www.007.com Video Credit: NO TIME TO DIE © 2021 Danjaq, LLC and Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios Inc.
