We wally dock our way across Texas and find a WW2 museum called Hanger 25 where we check out some really cool bomber aircraft. "Wally docking", for the uninitiated (like me), is RV camping in a Walmart parking lot. It's weird. Cars driving by you, people talking, horns honking, and carts rattling make for an odd atmosphere, but it certainly is nice to stop at the end of a long day of driving and get some sleep. After 3 days of this wally docking stuff, we arrive at the town of Big Spring, Texas and park just outside the hanger door of a WW2 aircraft museum called Hanger 25. It's really cool! We had a ton of fun checking out all the aircraft, but I think our favorite part was playing inside the old B52 simulator. I must say, I really did think Tambi looked just super cute in the cockpit of the A-10 Thunderbolt. The plane adjusting mallet is used for tapping the iron or blade of the plane to gain more depth of the cut. A tap on the top of the body near the throat will retract the iron for a shallower cut. In this episode Bob builds a brass mallet to adjust the new curved bottom plane in built in the last episode. We finish off our winter cruising with a hot tub, and our heaviest sail yet, sailing through 20 - 30 kn winds.

We are now entering our 9th week since leaving Puerto Rico and have been in isolation since early February at an uninhabited island. Ports are closed and entire countries are in lockdown mode. Movements are restricted and quarantines for sailing vessels are in place. We have just decided to stay away from civilization for a minimum of one more month, most likely longer though. Our plans for this season involved some off the grid sailing, but recent events have taken it to a whole new level.... Snorkeling in Rocky Dundas caves, aircraft wreck on Fowl Cay and exploring the amazing blue water of Pipe Alley. Departing Norman’s Cay early afternoon, we had a very leisurely 25nm sail back to Compass Cay where we anchored just after sunset. Next day we had a wonderful dinghy trip among the private islands that surround Pipe Alley. The scenery was so amazing that we decided to anchor Cloudy Bay there the next day. On the way there we stopped at Fowl Cay where we snorkeled the caves at Rocky Dundas Grotto and explored yet another crashed plane on Fowl Cay beach, before continuing to Pipe Cay. Anchored next to Pipe Cay sand bank, Glen attempted to kitesurfing but was let down by a leaking air-bladder, meaning his kite would not stay inflated. We departed early the following day on a high tide. 3-6 Feb 2020

Sondre Eriksen er en skikkelig fjellgeit, eller fjellbukk ;) Hans største høydepunkt på turen "Øyhopping & Festivalseilas til Trænafestivalen" var fjellkjeden "De Syv Søstre" Han skulle ikke bare opp, men han skulle løpe, ikke bare èn topp -men alle syv! Og målet var å gjøre dette på under 6 timer.. Dette er en tur på 27 km, og ca 3525 høydemeter. De som går i vanlig turtempo bruker i snitt 12-15-20 timer. Vi må ikke glemme å nevne kameramann Paul Norheim som dokumenterte dette, sammen med Simon Fossheim. -Det ble en del høydemeter og interessante øyeblikk på disse gutta også denne dagen! On Saturday we made the call to postpone the ‘Grady-White x Short Marine Shootout’ due to the restrictions around large gatherings which meant we could not have the awards event afterwards.
