Als Sebastian Kummer im Februar an der französischen Atlantikküste zu einem Überführungstörn in die Türkei aufbrach, war die Welt noch normal. Dann kam Corona und seine Crew ging. Ab Mallorca segelte der Wirtschaftsprofessor aus Wien allein auf seiner werftneuen Lagoon 46. Die Reise wurde zu seiner ganz persönlichen Odyssee. Alle Länder am Mittelmeer schlossen ihre Grenzen - auch für Segler. Wochenlang musste Kummer sich im Niemandsland zwischen der Türkei und Griechenland vor der Küstenwache verstecken. Medien in Deutschland, Österreich, England, den Niederladen und der Türkei berichteten über den Eremit auf seinem Boot, der nie den Mut verlor. Trotz vieler Rückschläge. Dann schaltete sich ein österreichisch-türkischer Unterhändler ein. Kummer war zum Politikum geworden. Die Frage war nur: Ist er ein Scharlatan oder der Retter in der Not? Erstmals nach seiner 90-tägigen Odyssee ist Kummer wieder in der Türkei - und sieht die „Blu“, den Kat, der seine Heimat in „der schönsten Quarantäne der Welt“ (O-Ton Kummer) war. An Bord der „Blu“ erinnert sich Sebastian Kummer noch einmal an seine Reise. Fizemos a viagem em três trechos: o primeiro de USVI até St Kittis com vento na cara, o segundo de Montserrat até Guadalupe com vento mais favorável e da Martinica à Grenada quase sem vento.

In this video I go though the installation of my Viper Pro Series 1500 drum anchor winch on my RL 28 trailer sailer. I look at a few tips and tricks involved in the installation and then tips and tricks in the correct use of the winch. Controlled by manual switches at the front and rear of the boat and a remote that can be used anywhere on the boat the winch has made the tasks of anchoring and retrieving a simple matter especially when sailing solo.
