Det är också den motiveringen som gör att vi idag tuffar ut mot Varbergs Motorklubb vid Trönninge på vår stipendieturné. 🏍💨💨 Det blir en känslomässig glädjeyra med både skratt och gråt då en rörd Melcher Andersson fick ta emot sitt ungdomsledarstipendie. Och råkade lova att lägga i minst en växel till. ⭐️ Melcher är en ledare och tränare med högt engagemang. Barnen älskar honom, föräldrarna avgudar honom och styrelsen är stum av beundran över hans sätt att få barnen med sig och hur han som ansvarig för Crosskolan fått den och ungdomarna att växa. 👍🏼 Han brinner för klubbens barn och ungdomar och för hur motorsporten kan skapa välmående och trivsel på fritiden. Alla barn blir sedda. Alla barn får en tumme upp när dom kör förbi på banan. Alla barn räknas. 😀 Melcher är en aktiv tränare som coachar barnen längs banan med hela kroppen. Han visar tydligt om han pratar om kurvtagningar, spårval eller startträningar med ett tydligt kroppsspråk. Det kommer alltid fram barn, ungdomar och föräldrar till Melcher, så fort han är ute på Anneberg för att få goda råd, tips, pepp och coachning. Och i varje möte ger han minst 200% av sig själv.

Like many other sailors, the corona pandemic hit us hard during the Caribbean racing season. All races were cancelled, the islands were placed under lockdown and we couldn't get any crew to or from the Caribbean. While most of our crew had left St. Maarten before the travel bans kicked in, two team members had stayed on the boat. However, we soon realised that the crisis wouldn't just pass within a few weeks and we started looking for a crew to sail back to Europe. Eventually, we found 6 other stranded European sailors and the long journey to Scheveningen (The Netherlands) could begin... But in June, once Spain opened up it's borders, within the Schengen zone we decided to take our chances and prepare Zephyr for a journey around the Mediterranean. On this episode of WE|Sail, we are back out at sea only after just a few days on land again from our 18 day passage. We set sail from Zihuatenejo to our new final destination for the summer to San Carlos, Mexico in the Sea of Cortez. We have another week ahead of us before reaching San Carlos and the trip will not be an easy one, mostly because we will have consistent winds coming from the North in the exact direct we want to head all the way up the coast of Mexico's Pacific Coast. We have another 1000 nautical miles to go. It was a battle for the first 4 days, sails up, sails down, wind, no wind, motor on, motor off. I Love Poland (POL), skippered by Grzegorz Baranowski crossed the finish line of the 2020 Rolex Middle Sea Race at the Royal Malta Yacht Club to take Monohull Line Honours at 11:58:05 CEST on Wednesday 21st October in an elapsed time of 3 days, 23 hours 58 minutes 5 seconds. Skipper Grzegorz Baranowski describes the feeling as 'perfect', after taking monohull line honours in the 41st edition of the Rolex Middle Sea Race. "Perfect crew work. Perfect navigation. A bit of luck; and then we won. So we are happy. Of course, it was a really tough race from beginning up to the end. A lot of tacks at the end, against the 2nd polish boat, so it was an amazing long race." #RolexMiddleSeaRace
