Questo non è solo il risultato della nuova era Tornado ma è anche il punto di partenza per una nuova generazione di barche, potenti, sportive, sicure e con il massimo del comfort” Daniele Parisi La cerimonia di inaugurazione e presentazione del T-RIB 48 si è tenutail 17 ottobre 2020, negli spazi espositivi di Tornado Yachts, in Via degli Atlantici 26, Ostia Lido - Roma Showroom su appuntamento 18-25 ottobre 2020 La Tornado ha un glorioso passato fatto di barche leggendarie, consegnate alla storia della nautica da diporto per l’eccezionale qualità costruttiva e le incredibili prestazioni. Elementi che l’hanno portata sul podio delle più importanti competizioni internazionali. Questa la premessa per un evento tra i più attesi dagli amanti delle imbarcazioni di lusso, un appuntamento imperdibile che ha riunito centinaia di appassionati ad assistere alla prima al grande pubblico del T-RIB 48; design futuristico, comfort ed esclusività racchiusi in un bolide d’acqua sospinto dalla potenza di 880 cavalli. IL T-RIB 48 - Una Nuova Generazione Il primo modello puro dell’era Parisi è il T-Rib 48. Tutti i pregi di un rib; stabilità, affidabilità e tenuta, ma con gli spazi e la comodità di uno yacht. Una carena sviluppata su un progetto del mitico Tom Fexas, che può contare sulla funzione statica e dinamica dei suoi speciali tubolari, garantendo sorprendenti doti di stabilità trasversale e ottime prestazioni. Grazie a due Volvo Penta da 440 cavalli ciascuno la barca è in grado di raggiungere una velocità massima di 45 nodi e di navigare in totale sicurezza a una velocità di crociera di 35 nodi. Perfettamente accordata con l’opera viva, la parte che emerge dalle grandi murate, integrate con gli imponenti tubolari, oltre che a proteggere dal mare tutta l’area abitabile, culmina in uno speciale musone semirigido che permette di “appoggiarsi” a qualsiasi superficie senza fare o subire danni. Questo nuovo scafo ha un volume interno impressionante, simile a quello di un superyacht. Con un baglio di ben 4,50 metri, ciò si traduce in un volume mai visto prima in un rib, tale da essere riusciti a ricavare due cabine a tutto baglio spaziose e molto abitabili e una toilette. Se gli interni, per spazio, luminosità e visuale, costituiscono l’aspetto più sorprendente del T-Rib, non meno interessante è l’originale layout della coperta che, soprattutto grazie al suo disegno asimmetrico, permette di passeggiare lungo tutto lo scafo in piena sicurezza: dalla piattaforma poppiera fino al salotto di prua, passando per il living esterno (formato da un ampio prendisole e da una comoda dinette a “U”) e per la plancia di comando, posta in posizione centrale. Oggi la Tornado Yachts intraprende un nuovo viaggio, guidata dal CEO Daniele Parisi, maestro d’ascia da tre generazioni e fondatore dei Cantieri Parisi, scelto dalla famiglia Sonnino Sorisio (famiglia storica nel mondo della nautica), che ha definito Parisi come “l’uomo con la visione giusta per rilanciare la nuova era di Tornado Yachts”. Our experience during covid sounds like something out of Gilligan's Island; twelve strangers find themselves isolated on a deserted tropical island for months on end learning to survive and forging life long friendships in the process. Before the pandemic erupted we had planned to be in the remote Ragged Islands for only a week, so we weren’t concerned about being in a place without any facilities such as food stores and laundromats. In this episode, we show our routine in this this blissful little bit of paradise. We swim regularly, enjoying the incredible underwater world with it's pristine clear water and abundant sea life. We’ve been eating well thanks in combination to receiving mailboat orders and spearfishing. This episode's mailboat mission is especially exciting as we figure out how to order alcohol from a restaurant supply company in Nassau. Up until now, we've gotten by making moonshine but an ice cold beer is something to celebrate! The head of the Royal Bahamian Defense Force (RBDF) for the Ragged Island did us a huge favor and helped organize the delivery of medication from a doctor in Little Farmers in the Exumas. The RBDF guys took us on our first trip into town since the Pandemic hit and treated us to a couple beers in the local watering hole. It was great to meet and chat with the locals, no masks required since we've all been on total lockdown with no one entering or leaving! With our mailboat mission completed we get down to having some fun! We gather the C crew or TTYC members to sign an old sail as a memento of our time together. Prima velista e regatante, protagonista delle sfide tedesche all’Admiral’s Cup negli anni ’80, poi manager e costruttore di barche, fondatore di un colosso mondiale come Hanse, e poi ancora ideatore di un marchio “visionario” come Y Yachts. La storia di Michael Schmidt è quella di un uomo che nel suo lavoro è riuscito a coniugare passione e business. LA CADUTA DEL MURO E LA CREAZIONE DI HANSE A fine anni ’80 fiuta il momento positivo post caduta muro di Berlino e in quella che era stata la Germania dell’Est, a Greifswald per la precisione, fonda nel 1990, in un vecchio capannone, il cantiere Hanse. Inizialmente il cantiere si occupa principalmente di riparazioni, ma presto le prospettive cambiano. Il suo obiettivo è chiaro: le barche da crociera pura fino a quel momento erano lente e a volte poco al passo con i tempi. Schmidt vuole proporre qualcosa di nuovo, non delle barche da regata, ma dei modelli comodi che navigassero molto bene a vela, ma a patto che costassero poco. Per fare questo serve un modello di produzione industriale e dei designer innovativi: la scelta ricade su due nomi che da lì a poco sarebbero diventati importanti: Friedrich Judel e Rolf Vrolijk. Compra da un cantiere svedese in fallimento, la Rex Marin, degli stampi e realizza l’Hanse 291, che al Salone di Amburgo del 1994 sarà un successo. La prima pietra di un cantiere che diventerà un colosso. LA NASCITA DI Y YACHTS Nel 2011 Schmidt decide di lasciare e vendere Hanse, ma in mente ha qualcosa di nuovo, non intende fermarsi. Vuole continuare a produrre barche, ma questa volta non preoccupandosi del mercato, o meglio, non avendo il mercato come focus principale. Vuole semplicemente produrre le sue barche, quelle che piacciono a lui, barche dal design ricercatissimo, con tocchi stilistici non convenzionali, veloci, lussuose. Nasce così la Y Yachts, che in questi primi anni di vita ha avuto tra i suoi protagonisti designer come Lorenzo Argento e Luca Brenta. Un marchio fuori dagli schemi, che non smetterà di sorprenderci anche nei prossimi anni. Bonjour à tous, nous vous proposons une vidéo sur le changement de notre chauffe eau ou ballon d'eau d'eau chaude sur notre voilier Pierrick II un Idylle 13,50 de chez Beneteau. L'ancien fonctionné plus mais il y avait l'échangeur qui chauffait l'eau au moteur diesel pour les mouillages, Mais la cuve a fini par percer du coup on a changé le cumulus et profité pour charger les tuyaux de l'échangeur, le câblage et 12 V et celui en 230 V également... Ce changement va nous permettre de gagner en confort lors de nos mouillages pourquoi pas pendant nos navigations hivernales. Thierry et Christel

Sailing across the Bristol Channel from Padstow in England to Dale in South Wales we go far out of site of land on our longest passage so on this trip. It turned out to be an absolutely brilliant day of perfect "Champaign Sailing" as Tim calls it. Flat seas and flat sails for more than 70 nautical miles. Good winds, some 3 to 4 foot waves, flew just the jib, we could have raised the main, but we were lazy in 20 knot air. The weather was a little cooler yet warmed up enough to wear less. The only safe place we can now be....is the same spot we just came from. Expecting 50 knot winds, and dealing with 18 ft tides, we let out 175 ft of chain right in the middle of the river (we had the harbour master's approval for this), since this was the only spot that would offer us enough swing room. But, as boats kept pouring in to find a secure spot, it was obvious that things were going to get tight. Thankfully we did not encounter any issues through the night, but as we watched the boats around us, we found out they were not as lucky. Much love from Cornwall!
