Legendary sailor Skip Novak talks about the new Pelagic 77 -designed by Tony Castro- which is currently under construction at our KM Yachtbuilders yard. This will be the third Pelagic sail yacht that Skip will use for his charter company to sail with guests, scientists and film crews to remote areas from Chile, mostly around the South Pacific. At the time of the interview (November 2020) the aluminium construction was finished and the outfitting and interior placement was worked on.

Neste vídeo mostro o estado do casco do Pedalinho, depois de quatro meses em que havia pintado com tinta epóxi. Comum, para água doce! Mostro tb. Um pedaço de pau que me pareceu, no mergulho e envolto ao limo, de ter rompido o casco. Justamente no local onde fica, internamente, a estrutura que recebe o motor. Então deduzi que não fez água, por estar em local onde a fibra é bem robusta. Daí resolvi ir a Manaus, novamente para corrigir o suposto local onde, supunha, ter quebrado a fibra. Ao verificar, já com o barco fora d’água, que não tinha dano algum na fibra e se tratar de uma cunha, colocado para apoiar a estrutura de madeira que havia sido colocada, na outra vez. Ainda bem.. ela estava só colada na tinta. Era o meu propósito, qd em Belém, ano que vem, retirar da água e fazer a pintura venosa. Antes de voltar para o mar... Como iria tirar, na emergência, aproveite e troquei as buchas do leme e pintei com a tinta antincruscante. Comprada em Belém, na Casa das Tintas, representante da Internacional. Que me enviou em Santarém. Qualquer dúvida que não tenha conseguido explicar, respondo nos comentários. Espero que sirva de aprendizado para alguém!!! Bvs

I have been working on a non-racing related "project" lately. Weither this will turn into a project, I don't know. Perhaps it will become a full fletched project, because I have some ideas on what to do with this basis, although this is still very simple and a lot of stuff is missing. Might also turn this into a group effort to make this a really complete game, but it is a very early stage and at the time of posting this it may take a while until this really gets going.
