Crossing the Bay of Biscay part 2 come along with us when we sail one of the most feared waters. We promise lots of sailing, dolphins and you get to see a bit of our daily rhythm at sea and finally in the end we reach La Coruña in Spain. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. The sailing in our home water the Baltic Sea is part of our preparation to sail to the Mediterranean Sea. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boat and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders a 4 years ago. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 3 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Litza is a Devon Rex cat and she is the real cattain aboard. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019

In this episode we spend the spring heat wave in gorgeous Watmough Bay on Lopez Island. We hang the hammock, go for a hike, paddle board around the shallows, and even go for a swim in the icy water!
Goes over the steps of rigging, mast raising and bending on sails for the Precision 18 sailboat.
Sailing through the doldrums on our 37ft sailing yacht Florence is the first stage in our 3000 mile offshore passage across the Indian Ocean. The euphoria of setting off on our greatest challenge yet is tempered by the unpredictable ocean weather conditions we face. This will be the 3rd ocean we have crossed in our circumnavigation of the world, and it is proving to be the toughest so far as we have already been turned back once. Sailing offshore 24 hours per day, part of our non-stop voyage from Indonesia to Seychelles. We have been sailing around the world for over 5 years after setting off from England in 2016 on board our 37ft sail boat Florence. Join us as we share the highs and lows of travelling around the world by boat, Sailing offshore across the Oceans and exploring remote locations with our own little tiny house. @Barefoot Doctors Sailing this week reviews the flybridge (upper deck) of the Leopard 50 Catamaran - and asks "DOES IT IMPAIR PERFORMANCE? There is a trip to dive a cool plane wreck and we see if Eli is brave enough to swim with 6 foot sharks!!!!! See amazing shots as the sharks go for her feet and glide past her body.... We share how to make the "easiest bread in the world" as well and share the hilarity of the journey along the way. "Easiest Bread in the World" Menu: Warm water - 2 cups Sugar - 1/2 cup Active dried yeast - 1.5 tablespoons Salt - 1.5 teaspoons Vegetable oil - 1/4 cup All purpose flour - 5-6 cups Dissolve sugar in water, add yeast and proof for 5 mins (Becomes frothy). Add salt and oil and the flour 1 cup at a time with a knife. Knead gently for 7 mins, and then set aside rise for 30mins, covered with a damp cloth. Punch and then knead again and set aside to rise a second time covered with damp cloth again. Cut in half (makes two loaves) and put in bread tin and then set aside to rise for another 30 mins. Then bake for 30-40mins in 190-200*F. ENJOY!!!! Binge watch and come barefoot with us as we travel and explore the planet, mostly from the water but sometimes through the minds of others as we provide aid and support where needed through the amazing TUFMINDS solutions! The free TUFMINDS program is released as a smartphone program under the Exqisit Life Foundation Charity, a registered not for profit and requires financial support to fund the free program. TUFMINDS saves lives by intervening at the point of suicide and pulling everyone to higher levels of mental resilience, wellbeing and functioning. it also creates better attitudes, resilience and coping - all very important for sailors facing difficult situations at sea. @Barefoot Doctors Sailing Donations to the charity to support Suicide Prevention with the free TUFMINDS program can be made at: https://shoutforgood.com/charities/ex... Following Rhode Island Clams From SEA TO TABLE - Travel Like a Local | Harbors Unknown Ep. 35 Traveling is a source of great fulfillment for us. Learning about the culture, the environment, and connecting with people to get a pulse on a place is what really lights our fire. Food is a huge part of culture, so we’ve been diving into all things shellfish in Rhode Island. We found it’s a topic rife with controversy on the commercial and recreational level. From environmental restrictions, to conflict between landowners and shell fishermen, competition amongst one another, and the privatization of waterfront, it’s quite the drama. Though, everyone could agree upon one thing; shellfish are one of Rhode Island’s greatest treasures. Since we’re spending time in Rhode Island we wanted to dig a bit deeper into the story of this much-loved bi-valve. We connected with Chris and Bob, a local diver and raker respectively, through a Facebook group and managed to meet up with them to learn what quahogging is like today. Plus Fabio cooks up a masterpiece at the end. You won't want to miss it! A huge thanks to Tyler Murgo for allowing us to use clips from his beautiful short film, Son of the Sea, featuring Davy from Andrade's Catch. Check out the full film here: https://vimeo.com/280435592 We're also very grateful to Chris Migliori, the diver, and Bob Goulet, the raker, for their time and sharing their local expertise, to Andrade's Catch and Gianfranco from Lucky Dog Tavern for allowing us to film their businesses. Check out Andrade's Catch here: https://www.andradescatchri.com/ Lucky Dog Tavern here: https://www.luckydogtavern.net/ This has been a special project for us and we hope you enjoy it! We'd love to hear what you think, so leave us a comment down below, and give the video a thumbs up. Thank you!! If you're new here, Harbors Unknown is the story of two dreamers, Kristin and Fabio Potenti, and our French Bulldog dog Yoda. We sold our home at the beginning of the pandemic (May 27th, 2020) and moved aboard our #Seawind1600 #catamaran, Wanderlust, in September. We plan to sail her to Harbors Unknown, and explore the world’s vast cultures through food, a common thread amongst people everywhere. Connecting with people and places through the local cuisine, and showing how those dishes can be cooked on a boat with limited space and resources. We share the adventures of #boatlife and how it’s possible to live an #alternativelifestyle that provides freedom and fulfillment. We have just set off on our world voyage, after exploring the beautiful waters of #SouthFlorida, the Florida Keys, and the Bahamas. Subscribe now to join our #sailingadventure. La travesía ha sido muy buena y bastante rápida. Hemos trazado una derrota muy directa que nos ha conducido hasta nuestro puerto de recalada en Bretaña, una pequeña ría llamada Aber Ildut, un puerto tranquilo donde se encuentra una flota de barcos dedicados a la extracción de algas, además de una pequeña marina de reciente construcción. Ahora continuaremos navegando un par de semanas por Bretaña Norte...

There are two great cities who host the end of two great races. In Australia it's Hobart and in the USA it's Honolulu. Both embrace the yachts and their crews and their hospitality is both legendary. Last week it was Honolulu and by the pictures everybody had a good time. In our July 23 World on Water we had the Lorient Foilers, screaming along behind the huge Edmund de Rothschild Trimaran, at 38 to 40 knots plus. Well here is how they did it.
The Captain didn't waste any time deploying the First Mate, mask and snorkel in hand, to check how the stern anchor landed, just in case it hit the nearby rocks. Unfortunately (for the Capt), the 'unreasonable' demand snowballed into a revolution among the crew, with threats of breakfast strikes and coconut-related injuries being hurled across the cockpit... Revolutions aside though, we had a pleasant sail; saying a sad goodbye to one of our favorite beach towns, Chacala. We aimed to sail a big hop south toward the town of Pérula, the start of the next major cruising ground on the Pacific Coast.... before the Captain was struck down by a mysterious illness. Luckily, Bohemia's Chief Medic was on hand and keen to put his skills to work! We managed to divert and spend the night in Banderas Bay (don't worry we'll be back here!) before setting off again down south. If you like our videos and want to support Bohemia's bar tab, you can make a contribution at http://www.patreon.com/sailingbohemia. Peter and Tom are gay sailors who learned to sail relatively recently in the San Francisco Bay, before casting off the lines to cruise Mexico and sail around the world! ------------------------- Thanks to the following artists for their contributions to this video! bacteria clipart PNG Designed By 甘来无敌 from https://pngtree.com/freepng/virus-bacteria-microorganism-coronavirus-medical-group-chart_5342141.html?sol=downref&id=bef bacteria clipart png from pngtree.com: https://pngtree.com/so/bacteria-clipart

As the title suggests, we pull Tapatya out of the shed and into the open air! This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of the build as it progresses and aim to show as much detail as possible of the various aspects of the build. These videos take a lot of time and effort to make, in what is already a time-intensive project. Your support in watching, subscribing and sharing these videos is very much appreciated. You make a real difference!! Boat Life Adventure | Ep#014 | Welcome to Miami | Miami, FL After 8 action packed months on the Space Coast, it's time to move south to The Gateway To The Americas, Miami, Florida! After addressing many (but not all) of the issues on my boat, I've deemed it ready for a ~200 mile trek as I have also been cleared to move in to a marina in North Miami. While it took ~1 hour (including waiting for a lock) to get to the ocean from my marina in Cocoa, the marina in Miami is less than 2 minutes away! As I said, "most" of the issues seemed to be addressed prior to this trip, but as you will see, definitely not All of the issues. Watch on to see multiple new challenges pop up as I finally make this move south! ________________________________________________________________ I will be uploading a video every few weeks ________________________________________________________________ Don't forget to subscribe and share the video ________________________________________________________________ Come follow me on Instagram: @boatlifeadventure www.instagram.com/boatlifeadventure ________________________________________________________________ Music: My Life by Ashutosh, Over You by Atch, Brighter Days by Markvard & Kvarmez, Rain Dance by Dizaro, All U Need by Dizaro, Daybreak by Luke Bergs, Higher by LiQWYD Youtube audio library __________________________________________________________________ Camera- Samsung Galaxy A31, Vantop Moment 3, Mavic Air 2 __________________________________________________________________ Boat: 1994 Maxum 3200 SCR Name: Kulun Filoo
