On s’amuse à De Palm Island avec les glissades d’eau, les flamants roses et j’initie les enfants à la plongée sous-marine. Ensuite, on a une de nos plus belles navigations à la voile jusqu’à l’autre bout d’Aruba où ont rejoint nos amis du catamaran Mowgli. Nos jours sont comptés à Aruba parce qu’on part prochainement pour la Colombie, mais juste avant on se fait un dernier party sur un bateau de pirate. Bonjour à tous, Ça y est, nous larguons les amarres vers les Canaries depuis Madère. 270 milles nautiques pour plus de 40h de mer et des calamars échoués sur le pont. Madère aura été une escale magnifique, nous ne regrettons pas de nous y être arrêtés mais il est temps de découvrir d'autres îles. Endlich in den Tobago Cays! Das Traumziel vieler Karibiktörns. Wenn man sich segeln im Paradies vorstellt, dann muss es ungefähr so aussehen. Auch die Unterwasserwelt ist einfach fantastisch. Ich habe schon lange nicht mehr so viel Leben und so viele gesunde Korallen auf einem Fleck gesehen. Die Ostsee verabschiedet sich nochmal mit wundervollem Segeln von Kappeln bis in die Kieler Förde. Dann liegt sie hinter uns und wir danken dem Universum für dieses wundervolle Seestück. Die Schleuse erweist sich wieder als kleines Abenteuer und unsere Glückssträhne ist uns wieder holt. Das kurze Stück NOK bis zum Ankerplatz wird dann unerwarteterweise nochmal anstrengend...aber seht selbst, warum. Viel Spaß beim anschauen! The Baltic Sea says goodbye again with wonderful sailing from Kappeln to the Kiel Fjord. Then it is behind us and we thank the universe for this wonderful seascape. The Kiel lock turns out to be a little adventure again, but our lucky streak is back. The short piece of Kiel Canal to the anchorage is then unexpectedly exhausting again...but see yourself . Unser ungeplanter Abstecher nach Göteborg hatte einen ernsten Grund: Danny musste als Schöffe zu einer Verhandlung ans Landgericht Bochum reisen und dafür für knapp 2 Tage den Törn unterbrechen. Wir segelten also von Donsö weiter durch die Schären und dann die Göta älv hoch bis in die schwedische Großstadt. Wir hatten bereits über das Internet einen Liegeplatz im Stadthafen Lilla Bommen reserviert, wo Mystra nun ein paar Tage liegen sollte. Am nächsten Morgen begann für Danny dann eine Odyssee im Schnelldurchlauf, 1650 nautische Meilen mit Flugzeug und Zug in etwas weniger als 40 Stunden. No es raro golpear el velero en distintas maniobras, en atraques, cuando elevamos el ancla debido a balances provocados por el oleaje…… etc. Aquí mostramos un procedimiento fácil para con paciencia reparar esos desperfectos provocados en el gel coat del velero. Solo se requiere paciencia y lija muy fina. Os dejo un procedimiento, Seo obtendrá mejor resultado cuanto mas veces hagamos el proceso y cada vez seamos mas finos en su aplicación. I am heading to Goto Islands and wanted to visit and support a small island community who I had heard were trying to revive the island by attracting tourists to view the coal mines and abandoned buildings were once 8000 people lived from 1959 until 200. This would mean I could do the 50 NM voyage over two days. But, despite good intentions, I was asked to leave. So I had to sail back to Sunset Marina ( about 15 nm) and sail direct to Ukujima the next day where I would encounter more surprises. But that is for another episode. Id imagine a lot of you have a canoe. I was given this canoe many years ago. It was not stable and had many leaks, and a TON of cracks. I think it was dropped off a truck or walked on. I have several students who have paid the shop to teach them boat restoration techniques. This will be a series of 4 or 5 videos cataloging the process to restore this canoe to its former glory. Well truthfully it will be better than it originally was. This first video consists of surveying the canoe sanding all the cracks and finding severe structural damage. By video two the entire hull will be sanded down and the fiberglass repair will begin. This is a complicated process as you have play a little Tetris trying to find the best way to position the components in a very small space.
