After a great run with the weather the wind built from the west overnight, with it averaging 4 - 6 and force 7 predicted as we headed further north we decided to play it safe and leave the boat in Dun Laogharie with a plan to sail the last leg with a better weather window. So for now the delivery is on hold for a week or so.

A big job on my list of jobs to do before I could move in was setting up the internet, this is mainly because I work from home and need decent internet, but also because I love streaming movies! In this video I talk through the items I bought, what's in the boxes, and what connects where. I hope this will be useful for some others looking to set up internet on their boats, and perhaps interesting to those who haven't thought about the possibilities of wireless internet in the home - you don't need a boat to go wireless! Many people write blogs/FB pages etc while they build their boat to help others and keep motivated. Then, once launched, they find they are too busy enjoying the sailing to continue posting. One such builder is Steve, who built a plywood Vardo 34 catamaran completely in the open in SE England. Even after all the time we spent in Raja Ampat, we still have new things to see! In this episode we are exploring a labyrinth of waterways in Allyui Bay. A crazy adventure day of exploring in winding rivers half in our sailboat, half in our dinghy. Green jungle, wild birds and beautiful rock formations : a landscape from another time, where we enjoyed discovering hidden bays and a crazy Hong. In this episode we do the final step of our solar arch project and that is to draw all the cables trough the boat and do the electrical set up and connecting it all together. There will be an episode 5 in about a month where follow up on the project with evaluation of the production and summarize the cost. We are a middle aged couple that has left our hectic business lives to go sailing with our boat Fridá af Wisby and our cat Litza. Our goal is not to go to a specific place but to reach a state of mind where we can really enjoy life. The sailing in our home water the Baltic Sea is part of our preparation to sail to the Mediterranean Sea. Anders has been at the sea most of his life and sailed for the Swedish national dingy sailing team as a young man. Gitte has also grown up with boat and spent every summer sailing with her father as a teenager but made a pause of about 15 years without sailing as an adult, had just begun to pick-up the interest before she meet Anders a 4 years ago. Onboard we also have our cat Litza a 3 year old Devon Rex we call her the cattain because cats always decide over their humans. Litza is a Devon Rex cat and she is the real cattain aboard. Fridá af Wisby is a Wauquiez 47 pilot saloon that we Gitte and Anders bought in UK in 2019 and that we have sailed to Gotland and in season 1 2020 we sail in the Baltic Sea.
