After taking delivery of our Leopard 45 catamaran in Cape Town, Trent and Tynan set to work upgrading and customising the yacht. Planned as a non-stop trip, we end up involuntarily in the Bermuda Triangle and are really scared for the first time. http://annamera.de​​ Nach Ablauf unserer Aufenthalts-Genehmigung auf Kuba und mit komplett leerem Kühlschrank haben wir in Mexiko Zuflucht gefunden, auf der kleinen Insel Isla Mujeres. Bedingt durch private Gründe und die anhaltenden Corona- Reisebeschränkungen verzichten wir schweren Herzen auf die Fortsetzung unserer Reise in den Pazifik. Stattdessen geht es nun zurück nach Europa, zunächst auf die erste Etappe durch den Golfstrom nach Bermuda. Durch unsere im Jahr 2021 stärkste Reiseaktivität mit über 5000 gesegelten Seemeilen sind wir mit unserer Videobearbeitung in Rückstand geraten und bemüht, diesen zügig aufzuholen….! In der Reihe Hafenstädte machen wir einen Rundgang durch Nizza und erkunden die Küste und das Hinterland.

La quarta tappa è stata la più temuta e allo stesso tempo emozionante di tutto il viaggio. Partiti da Palermo, appurata la stabilità meteo dei giorni successivi, abbiamo deciso di attraversare dalla Sicilia alla Sardegna. Usciti dal Porto di Palermo dirigiamo verso la rada di San Vito lo Capo, si alternano tratti di calma piatta a zone con punte di oltre trenta nodi e 2 mani ti terzaroli. Dalla rada di San Vito dirigiamo su Favignana (isole Egadi) dove ci fermiamo 2 giorni per visitare l'isola e fare provviste prima del salto verso la Sardegna. La mattina del 14 Agosto lasciamo il gavitello, prua su Marettimo, rifornimento di carburante e poi via verso la Sardegna. Iniziamo l'attraversata senza un filo di vento, ci accorgiamo di aver appena superato le 1000 miglia da inizio del viaggio quando incontriamo tartarughe e in lontananza dei tonni che saltano fuori dall'acqua, in tarda mattinata si alza una fantastica brezza che ci consente di aprire il Code 0 fino alle 21, quando in vista della notte, per precauzione, restiamo con randa e fiocco. La notte è stata un susseguirsi di stelle cadenti, facciamo solo un incrocio con una nave cargo e poi nulla. La mattina del 15 Agosto, un gruppo di delfini ci accoglie nelle acque territoriali Sarde, giocano con noi per 5 minuti e poi si dileguano. Atterriamo a Porto Corallo nel primo pomeriggio di Ferragosto, soddisfatti ma piuttosto stanchi. Il giorno successivo ripartiamo per dirigerci a nord, navigate le 80 miglia che ci separano dalla nostra meta, ci fermiamo nelle rade limitrofe all'isola di Tavolara dove ci rilassiamo a suon di bagni e relax con i nostri amici. E' tempo di rientrare a Mantova per lavoro, lasciamo la nostra barchetta a Porto Ottiolu dove torneremo a distanza di una settimana per la quinta ed ultima tappa del nostro giro d'Italia. We vertrekken vanuit Las Palmas de Gran Canaria om de overtocht te maken naar La Gomera. De eerste keer is er te weinig wind en liggen we voornamelijk te rollen op de golven. De tweede poging de volgende dag is succesvol en we maken een prima oversteek. Vroeg in de morgen komen we op La Gomera aan en we mogen later die dag naar de marina. Op La Gomera maken we een paar stevige wandelingen; La Gomera is namelijk wandeleiland bij uitstek. Jarenlang heb ik ervan gedroomd om zeilend te gaan waar de wind me brengt. In 2020 was het dan eindelijk zover en heb ik samen met Felia een prachtige reis gemaakt naar Scandinavië en de Baltische staten. Onze Eva, een Atlantic 43 uit 2007, is een aluminium zeiljacht met hefkiel en gebouwd en uitgerust voor reizen naar plaatsen die net achter de horizon liggen. Vanaf 2021 vaar ik met wisselende bemanning zuidwaarts. Ik vind het leuk om onze avonturen met jullie te delen. The ballast keel is all epoxy painted and is then shoved out of the way. Some cables are hooked up, in particular, but not exclusively, the motor control cables. the keel timber gets its leading edge shaped, and Kerry cleans a tank. This is the story of the building of a Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of the build as it progresses and aim to show as much detail as possible of the various aspects of the build. Corfu in Winter We have sailed around Corfu and stayed in the old fort of Corfu We had a visit from Dolphins and spend time with the dinghy in Greece Corfu How to spend a winter in Corfu

With 2 nights at sea and a big amount of sail changes this was an interesting Gulf Stream crossing. We had lots of wind even coming from the North with building waves to losing all wind for nearly a day. We encountered so many pods of dolphins during our trip. Some we could almost touch. We sail all the way from West End in the Bahamas to St. Augustine in Florida 253Nm further. Filmed May 2021. **NOW SOLD ** Salt is 2010 Hanse 545. Ordered with the larger Yanmar 110Hp shaft drive diesel and a Seldon in-mast furling main and self-tacking jib, this blue water cruiser is safe, fast and very easy to handle. Her massive cockpit is made very comfortable with a full set of custom cockpit cushions including twin daybeds under her large dodger. A 6Kva genset runs air-conditioning systems throughout the boat and provide a great backup charging system. This three cabin layout has a huge master cabin with owners ensuite including separate shower. Her saloon feels spacious and bright. There are also two large double aft cabins with a day head to port. Her galley is aft and to starboard with a top-opening fridge and twin s/steel front opening fridge and freezers. Salt is very well specified and in immaculate condition.

After a 6 month sailing break, we get back out to sea and make all sorts of rookie mistakes.
