Wir segeln mit unserer Segelyacht, eine Bavaria 37 Cruiser, Richtung Mittelmeer und vielleicht noch viel weiter... begleite uns zu den schönsten Spots der Welt, wir segeln über die Nordsee, durch den Ärmelkanal, die Normandie zur Bretagne und von da über die Biscaya.

Binnen durch den Kontinent - Saone stromaufwärts Teil 2 Rhein- Rhonekanal Teil 1 Unser Segelboot Squib, ein Catalac 9M, ist in die Jahre gekommen, die Verkleidung hängt teilweise von der Decke, die Farbe blättert ab, die Elektrik auf dem Stand des vorigen Jahrtausends,..... Ein Refit steht an. Doch Broterwerb und Verpflichtungen lassen es nicht zu, monatelang in Griechenland am Boot zu arbeiten. Da wird schon 2018 die Idee geboren Squib nach Wien zu bringen, wo man jederzeit Zugang hat, der Einkauf von Material in der Muttersprache abgewickelt werden kann und alles andere seinen gewohnten Verlauf nimmt. Bereits 2018 starteten wir Richtung Wien, doch ein Motorschaden in der Straße von Messina zwang uns, den Überstellungstörn abzubrechen. Leider hatten wir für die gesamte Reise nur zwei Monate Zeit, deswegen hieß es die meiste Zeit Strecke machen. Doch manchmal nahmen wir uns die Zeit zu verweilen, uns Orte näher anzuschauen. Am vierten September kamen wir in Wien an, 980 Seemeilen und 2120 km über die europäischen Wasserstraßen lagen hinter uns. Seitdem liegt Squib in der Wiener Kuchelau, der Refit hat bereits begonnen. Из Греции на автобусе приехали в Саранду, Албания. Недельный прогноз погоды - дождь, но на второй день вышло солнце. Сезон закончен, городишко был пустой. Никаких экскурсий... ничего.... Туристов нет. .... Ознакомился с городом, хватило два дня, взял билет на паром (ракета на подводных крыльях как в бывшем союзе) и вернулся на Корфу(Греция) так как мне поступило предложение присоединиться к команде и сесть на лодку... По прибытии на Корфу чувствовал себя как дома, ведь был здесь 10 дней назад и все уже знал... Задерживаться на острове не стал Сразу же взял другой паром и вернулся в Игуменицу (материковая Греция). В Игуменице провел полдня ( в фильме этого нет). В обед сел на автобус и поехал на Юг Греции в город Каламата. Расстояние 500 км, но прямого сообщения не было... пришлось поменять 3 автобуса. В итоге дорога заняла два дня .... Прибыл в Каламату 11-ого Октября... ...18 Октября в Каламате сажусь на лодку (Ребята идут из Турции), а пока у меня неделя на знакомство с городом и окрестностями ... ============================================================= we took a bus from Kalambaka, Greece to Saranda, Albania.Weekly weather forecast was rain, but on the second day the sun came out. I Immediately took another ferry and returned to Igoumenitsa (mainland Greece). I spent half a day in Igoumenitsa (this is not in the film). At lunch I got on a bus and went to the south of Greece to the city of Kalamata. The distance was 500 km, but there was no direct connection... I had to change 3 buses. The journey ended up taking two days. On our way there, we reach the island of Elafonisos, drop anchor and the thermometer soon reaches over 42 degrees Celsius inside our sailboat. Elafonisos island has a very protected anchorage, but it soon becomes unbearable inside SV CUBA without a breeze. However, with the help of a little invention and some tweaks below deck, we manage to keep ourselves and our furry family from spontaneously combusting. ------- We are Enrique (Kiki) from Cuba and Sarah (Salsa) from Germany, a sailing couple. We are living on a boat, our tiny house, creating a travel vlog as we sail around the world. In this video we set sail before dawn heading towards the Gibraltar along the stretch of Portuguese and Spanish coast known by sailors as “Orca “Alley” due to being the epicentre of activity for Orcas damaging sailboat rudders and encounter some wild weather on the way. We have no Schengen visa time left so a damaged rudder would be a huge problem for us and as a result we are somewhat nervous and opt to hug the coast where interactions are less due to the shallower water but we increase our overall journey time by doing so. We sail initially to the Guadiana river on the border between Portugal and Spain and spend the night at anchor just inside the river mouth and then tiptoe our way out through the shallow entrance on a falling tide as dawn breaks again heading for Cadiz. What starts off as a beautiful sunrise motoring over flat seas soon becomes sailing in 30kts of wind and torrential rain before we finally arrive at a safe anchorage beneath the bridge at Cadiz. #orca #sailinglife #sailing #wildweather

She is back on the market! Her current owners, who bought Rhapsody with us in June 2022, sailed her from Spain to her new home in Florida, USA and have therefore dotted all the i’s and crossed all the t’s to make her even more crossing-proof. This Oyster 485 is in superb condition throughout and underwent a huge refit/update from 2020 to 2022. Countless items, both technical as optical, and both outside as inside, have been renewed and re-built. For instance, the standing rigging has been completely renewed and 80% of the running rigging has been replaced. Also the main sail and the head sails are new. Furthermore she has a new generator, new folding prop, new aircon, new electric toilets, a new water maker, new bow thruster, various new covers, new carpets, etc. etc. Furthermore, equipped with a 100hp diesel engine, davits, dinghy with outboard engine, new life raft, refurbished and partly renewed navigation equipment, etc. Under deck of this Oyster 485 are two well-appointed cabins on either end of the boat. Both cabins have their own head compartment which gives all guests on board great privacy. The master cabin aft has been completely rebuilt this year including new mattresses and cushions. The spacious saloon and the walk-through galley are comfortable living areas and contain loads of storage space. She is a popular centre cockpit cruiser, is easily handled by a couple and is the ideal bluewater cruiser for those seeking a yacht under 50 feet. This Oyster does not have, but IS a pearl…

After a pleasant downwind sail along the island’s gleaming silica sand lined shore, we discover the outstanding anchorage at Chances Bay and make the trek up to the lookouts and across the island to the world famous Whitehaven Beach. We leave Valentia Island and head through the Bowen Strait and slowly make our way to Raffles Bay in search of Fort Wellington, an early British pioneer settlement. After a good look around we leave Raffles Bay and float our way around the peninsular to Port Essington.
