PATINES CON RODAMIENTOS PARA LA VELA MAYOR. En este programa de SAILING TXEMACAPITAN te cuento que he puesto PATINES CON RODAMIENTOS EN MI VELERO FORTUNA 9. No puedo estar más satisfecho. Y es que incluso más aún que trimar bien una vela mayor, es imprescindible que una VELA MAYOR IZE Y ARRÍE de manera isntantánea, explosiva. En días de temporal, mala mar, mucho viento, puede ser fatal que una vela se quede a mitad de RELINGA, portando al viento, pudiendo incluso impedir la maniobra de atraque al muelle o pantalán. Esto no pasa nunca, con sol y moscas, con calma chicha, con calma total. Es la ley de Murphy. Podemos llevar un gran susto. En el vídeo hago una comparación con sistemas de ARRIADO E IZADO DE LA VELA MAYOR tales como el ENROLLADOR DE MÁSTIL y el ENROLLADOR DE BOTAVARA, llegando a la conclusión que LOS PATINES DE LA VELA MAYOR CON RODAMIENTOS son mucho más eficaces y económicos que los famosos enrolladores de mayor. Además de rapidez, los enrolladores dan problemas en cuanto al trimado de las velas. #153 ✍️La navigation aux Bahamas est particulière. Nous devons naviguer à vue, mais les démarcations sont bien visibles, il suffit de suivre les couleurs plus sombres. Attention toutefois au sombre parsemé, celui-ci peut aussi prévenir d’une patate. Ensuite nous avons le choix des mouillages, il y en a partout ! Little Farmer Cay et son village Bahamien pourrait être une possibilité, finalement mon capitaine opte pour Big Farmer Cay, sa voisine. Là, pas âmes qui vivent, si ce n’est celles des coquillages. Il y en a toute une tripoté, des petits, des plus gros, des toutoutes et des casques. Sur la plage, des adeptes du stone stacking ont laissé un témoignage de leur passage. C’est d’usage sur les îles, un peu partout, la gravité est défiée dans des sculptures de pierres stupéfiantes. On attend la marée haute pour bouger, car au plus bas, notre Blacky est presque posé. Le sud-est nous a porté à White Point, tout aussi reposant et exempte d’humain. Pourtant sa triste emprunte ne trompe pas ! Quelle désolation devant tant de beauté ! Du plastique et encore du plastique, façonné sous toutes ses formes, pour tous les usages. Du plastique qui se retrouve à la dérive, sur les plages et dans les nids d’oiseaux, comme dans celui de cet aigle pêcheur ! Sous l’eau, heureusement, la pollution est moins flagrante. Ce qui est étrange, c’est ce trou que mon Tchoupi a repéré. Comme un cratère sous-marin, causé par une explosion me dit-il. Pour en finir avec notre mouillage devenu rouleur, nous filons vers Black Point à 4 milles. Des mouettes, des habitants et un BlowHole ! Un grand trou naturel là aussi, dans la falaise, où avec la puissance des vagues qui arrivent du large, une éruption d’eau jaillit à leurs grés. Question trou, un, bien plus étrange, nous déroute, c’est celui que nous avons dans notre annexe ! Mais sa localisation ne tarde pas, le problème vient de la valve. Nous arrivons aux points forts des Exumas, Big Major avec ses cochons nageurs. Ils sont depuis plusieurs années devenus un attrait touristique indéniables aux Bahamas. Personne ne sait vraiment comment ils sont arrivés là. Certains disent qu’ils ont été abandonnés par un groupe de marins qui prévoyaient de revenir les cuisiner, d’autres pensent qu’ils auraient nagé depuis un navire naufragé à proximité. Mais la théorie la plus plausible, relate qu’un habitant serait venu élever ses suidés sur cette île déserte. Depuis, il existe plus d’une vingtaine de sites, les cochons étant devenus une attraction incontournable ! À une encablure de là, cachée au centre d’une roche calcaire, se trouve la Thunderball Grotto. La grotte est devenue célèbre en 1965, par un des films James Bond ! Depuis, elle attire les curieux et comme nous sommes malins, nous y allons à marée haute, quand l’entrée est submergée, pour pouvoir en profiter tout seuls ! Pour tout dire, c’est plutôt un coup du hasard, car nous n’étions pas certains, avec le courant, de pouvoir y entrer ! Il en faut plus pour nous dissuader ! Partit en éclaireur avec ses palmes et son masque, je ne crains rien de le suivre. Cyril a trouvé l’entrée. On se croirait dans une scène du grand agent 007 ! Les rayons solaires traversent la voûte pour aller pénétrer comme des faisceaux, l’eau de cette caverne sous-marine. C’est juste sublime ! Il en manquerait peu, pour qu’en remontant dans nos kayaks à pédales, nous nous prenions pour le fameux espion ! Nous sortons d’un film pour entrer dans un autre ! Vous connaissez ? One million dollars baby! Ben là, c’est soixante et onze dollars baby! On n’en croit pas nos yeux ! Nous venons de trouver sur une plage de la côte au vent un blouson de quart, avec dans la poche intérieure, un rouleau de billets verts ! Soixante et onze dollars ! Juste ce qu’il nous faut pour refaire le plein de nos jerrycans d’essence à Staniel Cay, encore un lieu phare des Exumas. Ici, les requins nourrices viennent flirter avec les touristes et les speed boat n’arrêtent pas leurs aller-retours.
