We were able to find and explore the most amazing cave that is only accessible from the water. If you're traveling to Capri, I can't recommend finding this cave more. Lots to do and no time left. We are booked to go in the water next week on Thursday. We get stuck in to cleaning the boat and polish the metal bits that we got in the air from other boats. A terrible job that has to be done. We got on building the steps for the saloon and the back cabin. That looks really amazing as we finally stop seeing the yellow from the insulation on the walls. What a great job to be finishing! The electrics are nearly there, just a few more connections and cables and we are ready to turn the electrics on. That is a an amazing milestone! We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it.

After leaving the Cannes Film Festival, we travel to Nice on a windless day so have a beautiful but motoring trip. Quite appropriate as we travel the short distance to Monaco to experience the Grand Prix in person for the first time in our lives. Eat your heart out F1 lovers!!! The high octane thrill was amazing and also share with us the experience of live aboard and sharing the anchorages with fellow sailors. Eli even gets the courage up to board a Leopard 50 and enjoy an evening of socialising. Our crew also pumps up the new stand up paddle boards and start the wobbly process of learning how to do it - enjoy watching us fall in! Still no progress on the insurance front with increasing complications being apparent in the process.... When there is some movement and new info, we will share that with you... When the wind turned off on the final leg it was great to get a visit from another pod of Dolphins. They keep us company for nearly 20 minutes which was a great way to pass the time on the way to Strangford lough.

Trotz der Edelstahlkette bleibt unser verzinkter Kobra2 Anker erhalten. Die Edelstahl-Version wäre zu teuer und würde nur unnötigerweise die Blicke auf sich lenken. Dabei muss beachtet werden, dass es an der Verbindungsstelle zur Edelstahlkette, also zwischen Ankerwirbel und Anker zu galvanischer Korrosion kommen kann. Der verzinkte Anker sich also an dieser Stelle "opfern" kann. Diese Stelle muss dann regelmäßig kontrolliert werden. Nachdem wir erfolgreich unsere Rollreffanlage in Sint Maarten installieren lassen konnten und auch das neue Segel ohne Verspätung ankam, waren wir eigentlich bereit zu den ABC-Inseln zu segeln. Eigentlich...wir hatten wieder einmal Pech mit unserem Kühlschrank und die Batterien wollten zeitgleich auch nicht mehr so wirklich. Ein kleiner großer Tiefpunkt wollte.
