On Tuesday, August 9th, 2022, at about noon, I had a stroke. Let me share what I experienced, felt, and what it led to. I am only 54 years old and in decent health (nonsmoker, non-drug user, drink socially), and I had a stroke. In this video, I will share why I am lucky, and also what I didn't do right and what I will change if I ever feel this way again. Please do share this with family members as I expected a stroke to have some meaningful feeling, but in the end, it didn't, and you need to know what I felt and how you will know if things aren't right with you. Taking action is critically important within 2 to 3 hours of it happening!!!! Kick back and relax to our snorkelling footage. The body of the saddled seabream is oblong and longer than the white seabream. Its mouth is oblique and it has a silvery grey body that is darker on the back, and fine black longitudinal lines on its sides. There is a large black mark with a white border on the caudal peduncle. Saddled seabream feed on small invertebrates and measure up to 30cm at most. They live on rocky bottoms and in Posidonia seagrass down to 30m below the surface. They are found all over the Mediterranean but are very rare in the Black Sea. In the Atlantic, they occur from the Bay of Biscay to Angola.
This is a pilotage video about sailing into Eastbourne and Brighton Marinas for those who have not yet visited these two South Coast ports. Runs about 10 minutes

Hello noobers! Welcome to another hot week in the life of Ganymede. Today's video shows the chaos I deal with when I want to fill the water tank, which I do on a 7-10 day basis. I seriously have to come up with another system. I then show you the ways I'm keeping out the sun and wasps! I also have a chat about my upcoming boat course, maiden voyage to Aquaduct Marina, and future video possibilities - if you fancy the Q&A, pop your questions in the chat for me and I'll gather them for a future video 😁 I promised a link to the survey video, so check that out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7nTOJByDNUk&ab_channel=NarrowboatNoob
Another opportunity to charter a Seawind 1260 arose, and Toni and I jumped at the chance. This Seawind 1260 was a new 2022 model, Imi Ola, recently displayed at the Spring 2022 Annapolis Sailboat Show. Imi Ola had similar options that Toni and I have discussed, including the 32” TV, Fusion sound system, CZone, underwater lights, radar, solar package, forward sonar, and washer. Monica’s sixth sense kicked in and she timed her visit from Florida just in time to accompany us. We chartered Imi Ola for 5 days. Join us in part 2 for the last 3 days of our great 5-day experience as we tacked the Patuxent River, motor the glassy Chesapeake Bay, and dodged thunderstorms and tornados. Imi Ola can be charted through Sail-Away Catamarans at https://sailawaycatamarans.com/ .
In this episode Ziggy is putting the engine back together. It looks pretty rusty so we cannot wait for it to be refurbished and come back looking better than ever. Because the engine compartment has become more spacious, I can easily fit in there now and start removing all the fittings and insulation. I will also show you which paint we chose to paint the engine compartment as well as the bilges and our high-techie-techie room.

DAILY. EN EL PUERTO DE CANGAS. NÁUTICO RODEIRA. Ayer, tras la insistencia de David hicimos noche en el pantalán de la marina que tiene la villa de Cangas do Morrazo en el mismo centro. Hemos cenado tranquilamente y dormido a pierna suelta. Al mediodía vamos a comer a casa de mis tíos y por la tarde no hay plan. Realmente el mejor plan es no tener plan. Así nunca sale mal. Trouble is- we were in a pandemic, had a university degree to finish, on a student budget, only had ever sailed dingies, oh and didn’t have a boat. The dream seemed not only unrealistic but pretty insane. However, we worked hard, finished our degrees, worked as many hours as physically possible, saved with all our might, got experience and in March 2022 bought our very own sailboat, Teulu. Having little sailing experience and being a young couple, we have encountered a tonne of hurdles and made plenty of mistakes! but for every downfall, there has always been a reason to dust ourselves off and carry on. We hope you can join us as we sail around the world and keep #bloodydoingit #sailing #boatlife

There are two reasons why we're feeling stressed: 1) we're worried about the engine and not being in a position to drop the hook if anything should go wrong... 2) navigating this area is not straightforward, the nautical charts don't make sense, Navionics is wrong... In these more remote and less-visited places, we have found that Navionics data is often significantly inaccurate. The charts have taken us over land, put us at anchor in the mountains, and given us no warning of an island directly in front of SY Esper. This demonstrates why we always advocate navigating by satellite and eye alongside all the charts (electronic or paper) in the world. Meanwhile, we are visiting folks back in the UK, and we reckon there are few better ways to spend the weekend than with a bucket and spade at the English seaside... 🤙 How to support us: PATREON | FTBMates | Rum Fund - https://followtheboat.com/pub/ 👌 00:00 Stressful sailing along the coast of north Sulawesi 05:40 Cooking a freshly-caught wahoo 06:27 Real-time update from the UK 08:07 Traditional family beach holiday on the Suffolk coast 08:59 Aldeburgh, Southwold, Leiston Abbey 13:42 Thorpeness and the boating lake 16:11 Infrared photography and Snape Maltings ▶️ EVERY EPISODE FROM THE BEGINNING - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoE3FmplhAXPXy5tvEO838yS2rFpAfRhp ▶️ TOTAL REFIT SERIES - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoE3FmplhAXNsNWWZ6iTMzYYwKVtDanCr ▶️ VIDEO PODCAST SERIES - https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PLoE3FmplhAXOldLfhuOabS98hpDoznn9r Thank you for watching, please LIKE and SUBSCRIBE, it really helps us get noticed. I sail northwards through the baltic and visit a swedish wooden boat building school with my new friend ulf.
Here's a quick review of our experience with the Mantus V1 20kg/45lbs anchor.
It's not possible to ignore the fact this island is much about bikini's beers and loud music. Pretty monoton latin music in my ears and only some reggae now and then. I'm not saying it's wrong just pointing out how it is. Sailing back to the east side of San Andres together with Sophisticated Lady to celebrate Rick's birthday with crew and friends. Lots of amazing food and beautiful scenery wrapped into a feel good episode made as realistic as possible for you to enjoy. The biggest challenge have been the loud music due to copyright restrictions but have tried to replace it with authentic licensed music as close as possible to give you the best experience of the reality. Not often using the real sound is such a challenge. This Island is loud but note even close to the 24/7 nightmare of Jamaica. I do love music and also loud music. However I also enjoy variation but here the beat is exactly the same no matter what its called or which artist singing. Still I do love this beautiful island with the friendliest people, and not complaining only sharing my honest experience. San Andres is defiantly a beautiful place to be, even though it's not a place I would stay if bad weather is approaching as there is really no good places to hide. But this is from a sailors perspective. THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR WATCHING AND SUBSCRIBING! Most of the time I sail singlehanded but occasionally I do have sailing friends onboard. Still in the Caribbean due to Covid and was supposed to be in Asia by now. Even though this is season 4 on youtube I did not make that many videos in the beginning. Before full-time sailing, I have sailed several seasons in the Med prior to this, and obviously also in Scandinavia. I have been traveling the world before and have also been an active regatta sailor for decades. I had my first sailboat at age 7 and have been sailing ever since. Also, more than 10 years of experience as a captain in Search and Rescue at sea in Norway. PLEASE BE KIND IN THE COMMENTS! I'm just a normal person sharing my travel adventure through my eyes and experience from my perspective! Remember how I do things might work for me but not for you. It might even not be the correct way to do things, and I don't have the blueprint either. I'm not perfect and nobody is. The day I believe I know it all and don't think I can learn new things I should go ashore. I enjoy sharing my mistakes as well my knowledge and experience without trying to teach you anything.

Typical type of week in a marina! We had some crazy winds, thunderstorms and heavy rain, then glorious sunshine, this North African weather is nothing short of dramatic! We tackle some good old boat jobs and the age old problem of finding data in remote or unknown destinations! We also tell you about our plans to go into the Sahara soon on camels for an amazing adventure for Beaus 13th birthday... the planning starts now! It definitely takes some organising, especially as my Mum and my other daughter Bryony are planning to fly out to Tunisia to surprise Beau and come into the Sahara with us! Should be amazing, keep watching over the next few episodes to see how that all unfolds! 😜 Thank you to our wonderful patrons, you are really helping to make all this possible! This week we carry on our journey up stream from Marlow . We pass through the best scenery the Thames has offered up so far. This is really beautiful, we can see now why it is so popular to cruise the Thames. We come across a couple of broken locks and have to deal with them manually. Passing under those bridges that just seem to get lower and lower the further we travel. Carla just gets really stressed about the bridges. We look up online the heights and we check our air draft over and over again but every time we go under one still gets us very nervous. It has been really nice to see the River Thames from another angle, as we used to walk all these stretches but now from the water it is turning to be amazing as well. Follow our blog with our daily adventures on Facebook . We post our route everyday, showing you the ups and downs of sailing. An amazing adventure documented every single day. Stop there and leave your comment, we reply every single comment! https://www.facebook.com/sailingoceanfox/ Check the photos on Instagram , plus all the journey. We also have the Instagram stories where we register a few seconds of our day all the time. The best place for you to follow us as it is in real time. So much fun. https://instagram.com/sailingoceanfox/ Visit our website where we have our route on the map in real time. It is automatic updated and you can see where we are. You can also choose some official Ocean Fox merch and help to support our journey. https://www.sailingoceanfox.com/ Have a look at the food we eat on board of Ocean Fox. A daily blog of our healthy lifestyle . We eat a Low Carb Mediterranean plant based diet and we just love it. Loads of fresh fish as we catch so much. https://www.facebook.com/healthyonboard/ Please like and share all of that to help us going on this adventure. We are really enjoying this life and sharing everything with you it's been wonderful . Thank you very much, you guys are amazing supporting us with your likes and comments, we really feel that we have a new family out there. Much love Carla & Simon A little bit about us... We met in the summer 2015, we were introduced to each other by the virtual world. Eighteen months later we were getting married on a beautiful beach on Barbados, bare foot, very simple ceremony just like a dream! Two days after the wedding laying on the beach, talking about sailing, Carla suggested... why don't we sail around the world? Guess what Simon said? "Let's do it" He took it with no second thoughts! And here we are, two years after that day in Barbados, we started our adventure in Croatia. We made it happen working through all the challenges on the way. Now we are enjoying this wonderful life, and what a wonderful life it is! As we travel we will cross less fortunate countries, we would love to help to build a school or a health care centre, anything that these people may need, and in our beautiful world this is taken for granted. But for these people it's a dream, or may not even be a dream. We will look around and when the opportunity to help comes we will put our hands and hearts in to it. #breakingnews #livingthedream #boatride

2. Fånga en lagom stor gös och filéa. Får du ingen gös? Men ta abborre istället då ...
