We head off from our sheltered anchorage at the Enchanted Forest and back into the fray! A bit of beating to get us down to the bottom of the lake is followed by a Gybe putting a string wind onto our backs. We test out the Jib stick for a bit of wing on wing running and see what thats like with the Mizzen in and out. We then head home and do a few circuits, beam reaching to and fro, across the lake. We break our Lugger speed limit which was super exhilarating! Da wir in den letzten Jahren mehrmals in Heiligenhafen in der Segelervereinigung einen längeren Stop machen, zählen wir diesen Hafen schon zu unserem zweiten Heimathafen. Nicht nur das Vogelschutzgebiet in Graswarder ist eine Reise wert, auch die Einkaufsmöglichkeiten zur Verproviantierung lohnen einen Abstecher nach Heiligenhafen. Bevor wir weiter nach Nyborg segeln, gehen wir erst einmal ordentlich shoppen. In diesem Video zeigen wir unseren Lieblingsladen Calle, der eine wahnsinns Auswahl an alkoholischen Getränken hat. Ziel dieser Saison war eigentlich Norwegen. Aber es sollte anders kommen. Immerhin haben wir es bis Skagen geschafft. Von dort über die westschwedischen Schären an der Westküste Dänemarks vorbei bis wieder nach Wismar. Schaut selbst in den folgenden Videos, welche Häfen und Ankerplätze wir angelaufen haben und was wir dort erlebt haben. Vorab schon einmal....es war kalt aber wunderschön und wir haben sehr nette Menschen kennengelernt. Viel Spaß! George Town in The Exumas is a cruisers Mecca. There were over 320 boats anchored there. Lots of fun beach activities and a great place to meet fellow cruisers. It's also a good place to find someone who might be able to help you whether it's mechanical or electrical, or a spare part needed. The Cruisers Net on VHF channel 72 each morning at 8 is the way to find out what's going on around George Town and Stocking Island.

Tired after a long season with many miles under our keel we feel a sense of calm knowing that this is our last passage and we will soon be able to stop and put down shallow roots and rest. Join us at sunrise as we begin our sail up the Adriatic Sea towards Montenegro. With a weather system approaching we need to maintain enough speed to get to our destination before it arrives and forces us to beat upwind or bail out into Albania. There are light winds forecast for our passage so we set off hoping to be able to sail but are resigned to motor sailing or motoring if necessary. After a winter hibernation, SV KYRON is finally getting splashed and just in time for my lunch break. There's nothing like relaxing on a boat.
