Here’s a short video of the Broadblue Rapier 550 catamaran, shot on a trip from Chichester Harbour to Lymington. Tide against all the way, but we had 15 knots of breeze and an average speed of 8 knots. Lovely weather and easy to handle with just two aboard, although we had three on this trip. Great sail in the sunshine.

I do a high wind gybe, crash through waves, and achieve a top speed for the day of 5.9 knots. It's our last day in St. Vincent! So sad. The day started by sailing to the west side of the island to go on another tour. After a few hours or smooth sailing we arrived at the Wallilabou Bay. This is one of the iconic places where they filmed The Pirates of the Caribbean! Super exciting! They had a lot of information about the filming of the movie. Our local tour guide was awesome. He taught us a bunch of stuff as we continued along the road to see a small waterfall at the Wallilabou Heritage Park. We had a ton of fun. Emerson, as always loved catching and making friends with lizards. After ending the tour, Emerson and Ruby decided to take a quick dive in the bay in the evening and then we ended the day with a stunning sunset! It was such a great little area to be in. We visit the King's "summer cottage" Soliden. Nice gardens to see. We also walked past the ruin. Last but not least, we ate good food, I ate Öland's national dish; "Body cookies". Very good! Well it's another hot spell here in the UK, and I'm struggling to keep the boat cool yet again. I've got new blinds and my trusty fan though so we'll see how it goes! Anyone else considering air-con this year?

This Hanse 505 designed by the renowned Judel/Vrolijk Team is a fast, strong and reliable cruising yacht that has been built to high standards. She has a low-profile coach roof, clean decks, flush hatches, a big lounge area on the fore deck and wide fold-down transom platform. The more than ample cockpit features twin helm steering with new Carbonautic steering wheels, a big folding table for al fresco meals and a bimini to protect you from the sun. She is easy to handle with limited crew and trimming and setting the sails can comfortably be carried from the helmsman position. Her furling main sail and furling self-tacking genoa are from 2022 and have hardly been used. Furthermore, equipped with; a 75hp diesel engine, bow thruster with new engine, B&G navigation package including radar and AIS, life raft, Eberspächer heating throughout, etc. The interior of this Hanse 505 is just amazing and offers a high level of comfort. The current owner who bought her in 2021 has completely revamped the interior in 2022. Originally it is a 5-cabin model, but he has turned the 2 fore cabins into 1 huge master cabin with king size island bed with thick deluxe mattresses. What do you think about our new podcast? 💬 Both the IMOCA and VO65 fleets are finally free of the English Channel and into the more open waters of the Bay of Biscay / Celtic Sea / North Atlantic. The mission now is to leave the Bay of Biscay to port and run down the west coasts of Spain and Portugal before turning into the Mediterranean. After a couple of days of very light winds, Sunday morning brings a light to moderate breeze, but it's a south-southwesterly, which is generally the direction of travel, meaning choices will need to be made. Further west there is likely to be more wind, but it comes at a cost of extra miles. This tactical choice over the next 24-48 hours will be one to watch. We are super happy to see our friends 11th Hour Team back at sea, even if it's not in the race.
