In questo video ti spieghiamo in modo semplice dove trovare i numeri dell’elica, cosa significano passo e diametro e quali informazioni servono per sostituire correttamente un’elica nautica. Una guida pratica utile per chi possiede una barca con motore Honda, Mercury, Brunswick o altri motori fuoribordo e vuole evitare errori nella scelta dell’elica. Molti clienti chiedono un’elica nuova senza conoscere i dati fondamentali del motore o dell’elica stessa. Per scegliere l’elica giusta, però, è indispensabile conoscere alcune informazioni tecniche come: passo dell’elica diametro dell’elica marca e modello del motore tipo di elica installata In questo video scoprirai come leggere correttamente i numeri stampati sull’elica della tua barca e dove trovarli nei vari modelli di eliche nautiche. Cosa significano passo e diametro dell’elica? I due valori principali presenti su un’elica nautica sono: ✅ Diametro dell’elica Il diametro rappresenta la dimensione totale del cerchio creato dalla rotazione delle pale dell’elica. ✅ Passo dell’elica Il passo indica invece quanto l’elica “avanza” nell’acqua durante una rotazione completa. Più precisamente, è la distanza teorica percorsa dall’elica mentre gira, in base all’inclinazione delle pale. Nella maggior parte dei casi, passo e diametro dell’elica vengono espressi in pollici. Dove leggere i numeri dell’elica? Nel video mostriamo diversi esempi pratici di eliche nautiche: eliche con numeri stampati sulle pale eliche Mercury e Brunswick con dati vicino al mozzo eliche Honda originali con numeri nascosti sotto il mozzo Spesso i numeri possono essere coperti da dado, rondella o copiglia, quindi potrebbe essere necessario smontare l’elica per leggere correttamente i dati. Day 25 of the 75 Hard challenge and we officially hit the one-third mark! Today’s workout changed unexpectedly when Jen borrowed the Iso Bow, so I dug out my old Wing Chun rattan ring from my martial arts days. I ended up combining isotonic exercises with classic Wing Chun training movements — and honestly, it felt fantastic. It’s amazing how changing your workout routine can wake up different muscles and tendons you haven’t used in years. I’ll definitely be alternating between the Iso Bow and the Wing Chun rings from now on. I also started reading The Mental Toughness Handbook by Damon Zahariades, which seems packed with practical advice about discipline, consistency, and building resilience — all things that fit perfectly with the 75 Hard challenge. Water intake is finally becoming easier, meals are staying clean, and tonight’s menu includes chicken and the biggest broccoli we’ve ever seen from the local market! Sipadan in Malaysia, Borneo is ranked consistently in the top 10 dive sites of the world. Originally popularized by famed sea-explorer Jacques Cousteau, Sipadan is undoubtedly one of the premiere dive destinations in the world. Located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, Sipadan was formed over thousands of years as living corals grew on top of an extinct volcano. The residential schooling barracuda and big-eye trevally are a couple of the highlights we saw, as well as large schools of enormous bump head parrotfish. Everywhere you look there are turtles, sharks and pristine hard and soft corals. I had the opportunity to spend more than a week diving in Sipadan with Scuba Junkie and I can highly recommend it! The team was amazing, the accommodation and food were great, and so were all the divers I met during this intensive week. Thanks to all for this experience I will never forget. Il varo di AllaGrande Mapei: cosa succede prima di tornare in mare Siamo andati a La Base, nel tempio della vela oceanica, per vedere il varo dell’IMOCA 60 di Ambrogio Beccaria: “AllaGrande Mapei” dopo mesi di lavoro e modifiche in cantiere nel freddo clima bretone. Il varo di una barca non è mai soltanto una cerimonia. È un momento delicato, quasi sospeso, in cui mesi di lavoro in cantiere si concentrano in poche ore. Ed è proprio qui, a Lorient, che abbiamo seguito da vicino il ritorno in acqua di AllaGrande Mapei, il nuovo progetto oceanico di Ambrogio Beccaria. Dopo un lungo inverno passato tra modifiche, verifiche e sviluppo tecnico, l’IMOCA di Ambrogio torna in acqua con una nuova livrea e con una serie di interventi importanti che aprono una nuova fase del progetto. Nei mesi scorsi la barca è rimasta in cantiere per un intenso programma di aggiornamento, di cui vi abbiamo già raccontato, e adesso, come spesso accade in questi casi, il varo rappresenta molto più di un semplice ritorno al mare: è il primo vero momento in cui il lavoro fatto prende forma. Abbiamo seguito tutte le fasi operative. L’uscita dal capannone, i movimenti lenti e precisissimi in banchina, il travel lift, la barca che lascia il piazzale del cantiere e si avvicina all’acqua. Sono passaggi che a La Base fanno parte della quotidianità, ma che conservano sempre una tensione particolare. Perché un IMOCA non è mai una barca come le altre: ogni operazione richiede attenzione, coordinamento e una precisione quasi millimetrica. Ma il varo, qui, non finisce quando lo scafo tocca l’acqua. Una parte fondamentale del lavoro arriva subito dopo, con i controlli di stazza richiesti dalla classe IMOCA. Nel primo reel che pubblichiamo, il direttore tecnico Enrico Bandiera ci accompagna proprio dentro questo processo spesso poco visibile ma decisivo. Si tratta di un protocollo rigoroso che comprende pesature, misurazioni e controlli strutturali, necessari per verificare che la barca sia perfettamente conforme ai parametri del regolamento di classe. Da fuori possono sembrare dettagli tecnici, ma è proprio qui che si gioca una parte importante della vita di un progetto oceanico. Dietro l’emozione di vedere AllaGrande Mapei tornare a galleggiare c’è un lavoro di precisione in cui ingegneria, performance e regole devono combaciare al millimetro. Questo varo è quindi molto più di una semplice messa in acqua: è il passaggio che chiude il cantiere e apre la seconda fase, quella di navigazione, test e messa a punto. In this episode, I sail from Great Guana Cay in the Exumas to Cape Eleuthera on Eleuthera Island. The trip started with a bit of excitement: I overslept the slack tide and had to fight the incoming tide at the inlet. You’ll see what 5 knots of current really looks like - not something you want to meet at the wrong time! After that, the passage turned into beautiful fast sailing, with steady 20–25 knot winds pushing Mirage all the way to Eleuthera. Along the way, I also share my new hobby: making music with AI. Our final destination is Cape Eleuthera Marina, a beautiful and comfortable place to spend a few days before the next journey.
