There’s something very appealing about a boat that knows exactly what it is. The Harbour Classic 52 by Whitehaven Motor Yachts leans into that understated Down East styling that so many experienced boaters seem to come back to later in life. Classic lines, shaft-drive diesels, practical spaces and a layout that feels designed for real owners rather than a boat show checklist. For many people this probably isn’t a “first” boat. It’s more likely the result of years spent sailing, owning larger yachts or simply understanding what actually matters once the novelty wears off. Today we take a closer look around the Harbour Classic 52 here on the Gold Coast, Queensland and explore who will likely see the most value in a boat like this. From the 2.4m tender garage and social cockpit layout to the surprisingly simple operation, there’s a lot to unpack here. In the next episode we’ll take her offshore for a full sea trial and see how she performs underway. ► Presented at Nice Boating Tomorrow, the propulsion solution developed by ADV Propulse - featuring adjustable blades - is based on a vertical-axis rotor, an approach inspired by the natural movements observed in sharks. As a genuine alternative to conventional propeller systems, this technology clearly opens up interesting prospects for the multihulls of tomorrow. ► The distinctive feature of ADV Propulse’s technology lies in its ability to continuously adjust the blade pitch during rotation in order to optimize the thrust generated - an approach that remains largely underexploited at the industrial scale. ► Unlike a traditional propeller, the system allows thrust to be directed through 360°, offering significant advantages in terms of maneuverability, particularly during harbor operations. ► The system is also designed to be reversible. “It can operate both in propulsion mode and in hydro-generation,” explains Gaëtan Mignot, head of the engineering office at ADV Propulse. Another notable aspect is its operation at low rotational speeds, which is expected to improve onboard comfort by reducing vibrations and underwater noise. ► Depending on the configuration, ADV Propulse also claims gains in energy efficiency compared to conventional propellers. The technology has been tested on several demonstrators, including a project conducted in collaboration with Yves Parlier and Beyond the Sea, enabling exploration of its various applications under real conditions. ► The company is currently working on an initial version intended for outboard units, representing the first step in the development of this technology. Having been showcased for several seasons at boat shows, ADV Propulse’s technology continues to progress and is now entering a pre-commercial phase, with the gradual establishment of a distribution network across Europe. ► www.adv-propulse.fr ► Sign up for our newsletter and win a free two-month subscription to Multihulls World by clicking here: https://bit.ly/48JP1Vk ► Become a FREE SUBSCRIBER to Multihulls World's YouTube page now - https://www.youtube.com/c/MultihullsWorld ► Log on to our website to discover over 600 multihulls tests!

#abayachting #fermimai #venditabarcheinesclusiva #onboard #comprarebarca #barcausata #brokernautico #yachtbroker #compravenditabarche #mercatonautico

18. Inside the Market - Yacht Sales Insights & Trends for April 2026 - Berthon International Yach...
The 2026 sailing season is now properly underway, and with boats launching across Europe and the Mediterranean season beginning to gather pace, the market is starting to reveal where confidence, caution, and genuine activity currently sit. In this episode of Inside the Market, Ben Cooper and Alan McIlroy discuss the Top 7 Yacht Sales Insights for April 2026, drawing on conversations from across Berthon’s international offices in the UK, Spain, Sweden, and the USA. The picture, as ever, is mixed. General enquiry levels remain noticeably lower than this time last year, but the quality of enquiry has improved considerably. As Ben explains, “the people that you are talking to, those targeted enquiries, they’re quite focused and they want to buy boats.” Fewer casual browsers perhaps, but more serious buyers prepared to make decisions. One of the clearest trends emerging this spring is the pressure on the production yacht market between 40 and 60 feet. Buyers appear to be waiting for further price adjustments, even as the season begins. In a crowded marketplace, pricing and presentation are becoming more important than ever. At the other end of the spectrum, well-prepared quality yachts continue to attract strong interest. Bluewater cruisers and proven offshore brands remain particularly resilient. “There’s always a market for those well-presented quality marques that represent good value,” Alan notes, reflecting a trend being seen across multiple territories. The discussion also looks at the Palma International Boat Show, which Berthon has just returned from. While general footfall may have felt lighter than previous years, both Ben and Alan highlight that the show remains hugely important from a brokerage perspective, particularly for networking, getting brokers aboard yachts, and generating future sales conversations. As Alan puts it, “what we as an industry use Palma for really is to show other brokers the boats.” New yacht sales remain more measured overall, although there are signs of renewed confidence within the quality segment. Both Pegasus and Solaris are seeing more serious discussions beginning to develop again, particularly where buyers are looking for well-built, performance-oriented cruising yachts designed for long-term ownership. The episode also touches on broader regional differences. Sweden continues to see a highly active and liquid local market, while elsewhere some owners are choosing to hold onto their yachts for another season rather than bring them to market after investing in spring preparation and refit work. As always, the fundamentals remain remarkably consistent. High quality yachts, properly presented and realistically priced, continue to find buyers, even in a more selective marketplace. Key Points • The 2026 sailing season is now underway, with activity increasing across all Berthon territories • Enquiry levels are lower than in 2025, but conversion rates are significantly stronger • Production yachts in the 40–60 foot segment remain under pricing pressure • Palma Boat Show delivered focused, high-quality brokerage interest despite lighter footfall • Sweden and parts of Northern Europe continue to show strong local market activity • New yacht sales are showing signs of renewed confidence in the premium segment • Well-presented, high-quality yachts continue to sell at sensible price levels
We love to go to concert, especially artists from the 80's and 90's. And when we found out that Christopher Cross was on tour, we checked out the dates. Christopher Cross is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist from Texas. His all-time classics are Sailing, Ride Like the Wind, and Arthur’s Theme. When we were in the Netherlands in April 2026, he would play in Aalborg, Denmark. Only 8 hours by car ;). So we did and had a great weekend in Denmark, with Christopher Cross' concert being the hightlight!

#AmyrKlink #HashtagSal #Velejador #Aventura #Mar #VoltaAoMundo #Cortes
Sailing vessel Tapatya This is the story of SV Tapatya, a self-built, Jay Benford designed, 31.8ft, junk schooner-rigged cruising sailboat. The videos are a week-by-week record of our adventures as I live aboard, sail and strive to find out just what such a self-built, low-budget vessel is capable of. These videos take a lot of time and effort to make, in what is already a time-intensive project. Your support in watching, subscribing and sharing these videos is very much appreciated. Two teams with the strength of shared family recipe, and one who bleeds epoxy.
On October 19th we reenacted the Battle of Trafalgar. The fleet manager wouldn't let us cross the T, but we had a good time shooting water cannons, tossing croissants and english muffins and finally limes. In our battle a couple of English boats ended up between the French allied boats and got limed to death, leading to a French victory!
