Shallow water access, raw power and fun from every angle this boat is an emotive experience that will leave you smiling until next weekend when you get to use her again! In part 2 we go for a spin so you can see what a difference these quad V12 Mercury outboards make when compared to the inboard version. Mark Jardine spoke with Hyde Sails' Ben McGrane during the RYA Dinghy & Watersports Show 2025 about their focuses in the year ahead, including the upcoming Flying Fifteen World Championship at the Weymouth & Portland Sailing National Academy in August, developments in the Squib class, how parent and child sailing is continuing to flourish in the Mirror dinghy, and also the accessories, such as covers, which Hyde Sails also produce. #sailing #dinghysailing #DAWS25
#aluminumsailboat #alubat #aluminumyacht #aluminumboatbuilder The new Ovni 430 continues to evolve. One example is an upgrade to the weather protection inside the hard dodger by making access to the lines through individual slots. Another update is to the rails fore and aft, including the stanchions, that are now made of aluminum instead of stainless steel. Also, by moving the winches in the cockpit, it allows for a longer bench for more seating.
Mark Jardine, Managing Editor of Sail-World.com and YachtsandYachting.com, chatted with Daniel Henderson, the Managing Director at Sea Sure, about the new PolarWave range of blocks which they are now importing to supplement the dinghy transom hardware and other fittings which Sea Sure are well known for manufacturing. PolarWave has invested hundreds of thousands into tooling, enabling them to manufacture blocks with market leading breaking loads whilst keeping the price of their blocks down about 50% off what's expected from other well-known manufacturers. All Polar Wave blocks come with high-speed ceramic bearings as standard. Discover more at https://www.sea-sure.co.uk/ #sailing #fittings #dinghysailing #DAWS25

In Episode 52 of the Sailing Goat Series, we tackle some of the final upgrades before resuming full-time sailing! This week, I complete the installation of LED lights on the bimini, adding much-needed visibility and comfort for nighttime navigation. We also move the boat to the shipyard, getting everything ready for next week’s haul-out—one of the last major steps before we set off again. And, to improve safety, we finally receive our new offshore emergency raft, a critical piece of gear for long passages. The checklist is getting shorter, and we’re nearly there! 💡 Bimini LED Lighting Upgrade: We install new LED lights on the bimini, a simple but important improvement to enhance night navigation and onboard comfort during passages. Now, nighttime sailing will be easier and more efficient. ⚓ Moving to the Shipyard: With our haul-out scheduled for next week, we relocate the boat to the shipyard, preparing for the essential out-of-water work that will get us back on track for sailing. 🆘 New Offshore Emergency Raft: Safety is a top priority, and this week, we receive our brand-new offshore life raft—a crucial piece of gear that will give us peace of mind for longer passages. Every sailor hopes never to use it, but having it aboard is non-negotiable. 🌊 Final Steps Before Departure: With these last jobs underway, we’re almost ready to set sail again. The excitement is building as we prepare to return to full-time sailing life! 💬 Join the Conversation: Have you upgraded your night navigation setup or prepped for a major haul-out? Share your experiences, tips, or thoughts in the comments below—we love learning from the sailing community! 👍 If you’re excited to see us inch closer to setting sail again, give this video a thumbs up, share it with fellow sailors, and subscribe to the Sailing Goat Series for more updates. 🔗 Connect with Sailing Goat: Instagram: @nobodysride Instagram: @sailing_svgoat 📌 Hashtags: #SailingGoat #LEDLighting #NightNavigation #HaulOutPrep #OffshoreLifeRaft #BoatUpgrades #SailingLife ⛵ Join us as we complete the last few projects before we finally resume our sailing adventure. The Toy Marine 36 is not just any boat. This is an emotional experience that fills you with the kind of pleasure you get when driving a classic car along an empty winding road on a sunny day. This is a boat the places a heavy focus on style and relaxation at the expense of a little practicality. But honestly when you have a boat that looks like this who cares about bow rails! In this video we will dig deeper into the layout of the boat and discover that she is a true overnight vessel for a couple and occasional guests. The possibility for weather protection while still allowing for very decent sun lounging options will make this boat appeal to those of you moving out of classic styling centre consoles like the Chris Craft Catalina for example. It oozes style but adds more options in terms of lunching, lounging and just living your best boat life on those long summer days. This won't be a boat for everyone because she's not intended to be. But for those of you who are lucky enough to own one you can expect many relaxed summer days ahead. This week, we traded our catamaran for a day on a friend’s monohull, experiencing a whole new side of sailing. We then found ourselves in the heart of a Carnival parade in Saint Anne (Martinique), surrounded by music and dancing. #aluminumboat #aluminumsailboat #aluminumboatbuilder We recently asked Luc Jurien, the CEO at Alubat, to walk us through what is involved in the painting process, and there's no question about it, building an aluminum sailboat is more challenging than building a fiberglass one. Unlike fiberglass boats that are primarily built around molds, it requires a highly skilled workforce to build an aluminum hull. In fact, an aluminum hull at Alubat spends nearly four weeks in the paint shop alone, that's typically the same amount of time it takes to build and commission a fiberglass boat of the same size.
In Episode 51 of the Sailing Goat Series, the countdown to departure is on! With our final departure date looming, we’re in full rush mode to complete the last remaining tasks. The car is being shipped back home, which means today is our last chance to run errands and finish our shore-based chores. The blonde takes charge of organizing the boat, finding a place for everything and meticulously stowing it away, while the beard works on installing LED strips outside for red night vision lighting during nighttime passages. Join us for a hectic but productive week as we get everything ready for our big departure! 🚗 Shipping the Car Home: After months of land-based convenience, the car is finally heading home. This means we need to wrap up all our last-minute errands in a single day—provisioning, shopping, and collecting everything we’ll need while living full-time at sea. 🧳 The Blonde's Stowage Mission: With the car gone and departure imminent, the blonde takes on the challenge of stowing everything away. From food supplies to tools and personal items, everything needs a proper home to keep the boat balanced and clutter-free. 💡 Installing LED Strips for Night Vision: The beard tackles the final electrical project: installing LED strips with red lighting outside to improve nighttime visibility without ruining our night vision. The result? A functional and atmospheric lighting solution for those overnight passages. 🌊 The Final Countdown: As the departure date approaches, the excitement (and stress) builds. In this series of videos we explore the Wiszniewski Yachts W-43 in detail. This version was powered by the triple 300hp V8's and the standard version is optioned with the dual 400Hp V10. This is an interesting concept that left me with the impression that she is somewhere between an adventure boat hull and a luxury med style day boat. She will entertain 10+ people, lunch for 4-6 people no worries and overnight in comfort for 2. I imagine if you have been introduced to the world of adventure boats but felt limited by the amount of space you have available onboard and like the idea of spending more time aboard your boat but still having access to very respectable cruising speeds and a real step up in onboard comforts then this could be a great boat for you.
