Technology today has helped restoring S boats an easy lay out and stronger structure.

Angus is one of four generations of "S" sailors, the main points that was his goal were to preserve classic "S" boats, to engage the next generation in sailing classics, enable a modern, ambitious race program for everyone who would be interested, also support the craft, and win races. PAPOOSE was donated to Herreshoff Marine Museum along with SQUAW to restore the Classic S boats look and performance.

Angus Davis learned to sail in Bristol waters aboard AQUILA, the Herrehsoff S Class sloop his grandfather Robert Spink Davis and father Geoff Davis raced out of Bristol since the 1960s, and believed by class historian Ken Upham to be the first S Boat ever built, H.M.Co. #828. With growing interest in the S Class and classic racing, many accomplished sailors compete in S Class one-design racing on Narragansett Bay, Long Island Sound and Cape Cod.
